The best of Tanzania
If I were to return to Tanzania, I would choose Meru Slopes again. I have no doubt. Before choosing them, I did a very extensive search with many agencies, both Spanish and Tanzanian. I read reviews, looked at forums, searched on social networks... finally I decided on them because the references were very good and the price was absolutely different. Communication with the agency was always easy, fast and fluid. Jerome took care of everything, he sent us a quote that fit our wishes, you can add days, remove days, upgrade or downgrade. They fix it immediately and send you a quote again. In addition, they advise you on many aspects such as recommended tips, appropriate clothing, and make sure everything is ready for your arrival. Payment is made by transfer via Revolut so it couldn't be easier. Once on the safari (10 days in total), we not only saw all the possible animals, but also those that I could not even imagine. And a large part of the success of the safari is due to the jeep driver and the guide. Both of them have made a perfect combination to put the car in the best place, to spot where the animals are from miles away and to advise you on the best options to make the safari a success. You just have to let yourself go and trust them. Special thanks to Lobulu, Dani, Fidelis, Oscar and Victor. They have all been part of our trip in Tanzania. Lobulu, the driver, has been key. He has taken us with total safety, which is something that should not be overlooked. We have seen other jeeps from very, very famous agencies doing atrocities in the savannah: driving very fast, harassing animals, and being very violent in their driving. On the other hand, Lobulu, on the contrary, has been very clever because he knew where to put the car, he knew that if he gave space between the next jeep, the animals that sometimes get cornered would look for our space to cross the road, that would allow us to see the animals better than anyone else. He knew that if the animals moved, it was better to move the car towards a path to see them better. Not only was he sharp in driving, but he did it safely. He drove over every bump in the road with total ease, which made our safari without any mishaps. We saw other cars broken down, with wheels, radiators or brake discs smoking just because the driver drove too hard. That is also part of the safari, doing it in total safety. The jeep is equipped with water, a fridge, beer... amenities that exceed many European standards. Our guide Dani could see animals with his eyes from miles away. Wherever he put his eye, he knew there was an animal. Sometimes he would stop the car and make Lobulu go in reverse, many meters, because he had seen a turtle. His ability to find animals was the key. We saw the big 5, and hundreds of other animals. The accommodations they chose for us were also unbeatable, but you can always adapt them to your budget. Sometimes it can be scary to communicate with a company that is outside of Spain, but in the end you realize that Spanish companies end up subcontracting local agencies, because they are the ones who really know how to do it. That makes the price of a safari in Spain 3x higher. I assure you.
With Jerome, we have been able to talk very easily, if you do not speak English, use a translator because they will do their best to communicate with you. The best thing about hiring a Tanzanian agency is that the money stays in the country and does not go to a foreign investor, providing its citizens with more opportunities to live and maintain wealth. They have accompanied us, guided us and taken us to the heart of Africa, we have seen the migration of thousands of animals and that is a resource that I will keep for the rest of my life. I want to thank the entire Meru Slopes team from the bottom of my heart, Asante Sana! With all my heart.

Above and beyond
Dennis was our tour guide and an excellent one at that, he was very knowledgeable about all the animals on the safari, The safari was mind blowing... Seen a cheetah on the hunt and kill, found a leopard with a kill up the tree he was in. Seen loads of prides of lion's including one with the end of a feed. With Dennis in charge we managed to see all the big 5..highly recommended

The guides were excellent and knowledgeable
The guides were excellent and knowledgeable - with their help, we tallied 79 different species of animals and birds, including all of the big five at close range (OK, the one rhino was a bit far away) except leopards. Lots of hippos wallowing, giraffes grazing. In the Maasai Mara, we dramatically saw a hyena single-handedly catch a topi (an antelope three times its size), bring it down, and share it with its colleagues - not pleasant, but compulsive viewing - after 15mins, it was left to the vultures.

Izzy is a legend
At the end of July/beginning of August 2024, I traveled with Enjanga Tours, i.e. Izzy, for the 4th time, this time alone.
It was an indescribable series of incredible experiences.
The boys, Izzy and his team picked me up at the airport in Maun and we went straight into the bush.
We were in third bridge, moremi and khwai, among other places. In addition to many lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, wild dogs and the "common" animals, I saw civet cats, cerval cats and a pangolin for the first time. It was breathtaking. I am still fascinated by the way Izzy "reads" nature, finds the animals and the warmth with which I was given an unforgettable time. Many thanks also to Orris and Mosh for looking after me so kindly.
I'll be back as soon as I can.

Absolutely professional, well organized and trustworthy tour operator.
The whole 7 day safari trip was incredible and we saw so many different animals, locations and landscapes. The management was very professional and responded fast and made sure that the whole trip was planned perfectly. We could enjoy different camps and hotels and each one had its own qualities. At some places we were able to see animals and on others swim in the pool. Our guide was great and answered all our questions. He had a lot of experience and was an excellent driver, wildlife guide and he knew loads about the land, culture, food, etc. Our guide Emanuel was so friendly, kind and funny. He made sure we felt comfortable and safe and we had a great time with him. We definitely would recommend him as a guide and also the company.

Paradise and Wilderness, worked hard to ensure that my safari was world class, they succeeded.
From the first contact with this company, my sales associate (Iddy) was execellent. He tailored the safari to my dates and times, was extremely responsive to my (many many) questions. And even during the safari, he reached out several times to ensure that our groups experience was going smoothly.
When we arrived in Tanzania, our transfer was on time and comfortable. The first lodge we stayed at in Arusha was beautiful, and the staff was excellent in making us feel welcome.
Our guide (Domiyas) could not have been better, he was an invaluable resource in helping us understand the unique attributes of each park, the different wildlife we were seeing, and listened closely to us if we needed to stop for souvenir buying, or toilets, or ... really anything. Seriously, ask for Domiyas and you won't be disappointed.
The lodges we stayted at (6 of them), were all a treat. The beds were comfortable, the food was exceptional, the staff was always warm and welcoming, we loved every evening.
The game drives were amazing, each of the parks we visitied (Tarangire, Ngongoro Crater, Lake Natron, Serengeti) were fascinating. Lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, so many types of antelopes, wart hogs. It' hard to explain how cool this experience is.
I've only done one safari, so I don't have a comparison, but Paradise and Wilderness set a high bar for me. I honestly don't know what they could have done better. Highly recommend!!

Mt Kenya hike with SunUp was A+
I should have written this review sooner as the team at SunUp Adventures is A+. Chris has great communication and helped organise a fantastic hike on Mt Kenya. Richard was the guide, and Charles, Patrick and David made up the rest of the team. I’m a keen photographer, and they politely accommodated my frequent stops and requests to be out early or around dinner time. Richard is a very experienced guide and a smart guy - when he didn’t know the answer to a question he didn’t make up answers like I experienced with guides on safaris in Kenya and Tanzania. Richard impressed me. Charles cooked some good and nourishing food, and Patrick and David carried much of my stuff including photography equipment and I really appreciated that. I’m an experienced hiker and I work as a field ecologist and wildlife photographer in multiple countries, and as a solo hiker I had to have a guide for Mt Kenya but I’m glad I did and that I chose SunUp. I would like to return to do more trips with the SunUp team.
Cheers!
