Not a pleasant experience - unpaid park fee and unfulfilled refund as promised
We recently booked an 8-day trip to Kenya and Tanzania through Morningstar, hoping for an unforgettable adventure. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.
While we were excited to see a variety of wild animals, our trip was marred by significant issues. We were forced to pay for everything twice in Tanzania, which was incredibly frustrating. Moreover, we lost a full day of safari time due to problems with our bookings.
Despite assurances from Dennis, the owner, we did not receive the promised refund for these expenses.
Additionally, we were disappointed to discover that Morningstar does not have staff in Tanzania. Instead, they work with a partner agency, which led to a lack of coordination and support on the ground.
We made our full payment two weeks before our departure, believing Dennis's claim that it was necessary to ensure everything was booked and our trip would run smoothly.
However, upon arriving in Tanzania, we quickly learned that fees-such as park entry and transportation-had not been paid. This left us in a difficult situation; we either had to pay again ourselves or risk being stranded in the Serengeti.
Dennis cited a hacked bank account as the reason for the missing payments and promised that we would receive a refund once we returned to Kenya. Unfortunately, this promise went unfulfilled as well.
In conclusion, our experience with Morningstar was disappointing, primarily due to poor management and lack of support during our trip. I cannot recommend them based on our experience, as the dream safari we anticipated turned into a series of frustrating challenges. Though our first guide Caleb in Kenya is great. He has 20 years experience and always wants to show the best to us.
Moreover, till today, we still have not received the refund. It's been 15 days since he promised to refund.

Mathys was amazing. He answered all my questions and provided excellent service.
Our 14-day trip to South Africa and Seychelles was nothing short of amazing. The four days on safari was my personal favorite with being able to see all the animals in their natural environment. My daughter and son-in law enjoyed the hike up Table Mountain and we all enjoyed meeting and talking with the wonderful people, of South Africa and Seychelles. Matthys was amazing in developing an itinerary that took everyone wishes and developing a trip of a lifetime. He always responded quickly to any question or concerns that I had. i would highly recommend Discover Africa Safaris for an amazing trip.
I can wait to go back again sometime.

Excellent, professional and responsible tour
We, four women from Thailand, were thoroughly impressed by the arrangements and responsibilities managed by Moafrika tours. Ruben, our coordinator, was exceptional, displaying incredible patience while organizing our 10-day trip and ensuring we were well taken care of throughout the journey. All the guides we encountered were professional, knowledgeable, and superb.
Lemon, an outstanding guide from Zimbabwe, went above and beyond by introducing us to the local market and community, even taking us shopping before we headed to the airport. We learned so much from him. Another fantastic guide, Muneeb from Cape Town, was smart enough to adjust the program when he realized we weren’t wine enthusiasts. He took us to other wonderful places instead.
Before the trip, my three friends had negative impressions of Africa, but their perceptions have completely changed. They now love the countries and the people, and they are eager to share their amazing experiences with friends and family who were previously reluctant to visit Africa. I’m happy that these three women can now spread positive attitudes about Africa through social media and conversations.
Most Thai people don’t know much about Africa, and many have received negative impressions from movies. We highly recommend Moafrika, and I am confident that more people from Thailand will visit South Africa and Zimbabwe using Moafrika’s programs.

Wonderfully organized time and care. Safari and other activities I recommend to everyone!
Wanderlust Safaris organized our stay in Victoria Falls and Chobe Full Day Safari. Everything was perfect, no delays and in a very nice atmosphere. All transfers on time, in a comfortable car. Leon recommended Boma Dinner & Drum Show, it was great. Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River completely met our expectations. Dinner was delicious, wines excellent and views unforgettable. Full Day Chobe Safari is an opportunity to admire animals, birds and unique views. And this from the car but also from the boat. Lunch at the hotel on the river was very tasty and the circumstances were an addition. I can completely recommend Leon and his company because I have only positive memories.

Incredible tour, all aspects perfectly organised with the most knowledgable passionate guide around
Extremely professional company to deal with who put on a perfect Safari for us. Their choice of accommodations, range of activities, quality of vehicle (able to access areas others can't) and above all, choice of a guide who always went above and beyond to ensure we had the best trip possible, with a level of knowledge, passion and experience that meant we always seemed to be the 1st vehicle to spot and get close to more challenging to find animals, including multiple leopards, tree lions, and being up close to a Lioness making a kill and Lion escaping a buffalo attack.. Really couldn't ask for more.

Amazon expérience with great guides and drivers
My visit at Mikumi was managed from the ferry at Dar es Salam. Everything was great ,organisation , hôtel, foot, guides and drivers , meeting with Maassaï people, it was à wonderfull expérience.
