Dan and Ian are haven't been honest with us. We were scammed over $20,000 US dollars!
Our family of 6 members booked an 11 day safari in Kenya for $21,400 US dollars. 10 days before leaving they said they were bankrupt and cancelled our trip. We were promised a full refund if we were patient. Over 22 months we were refunded $1380, but now Dan is missing and no longer answering emails or making any pretense of refunding us. It was pump and dump right up to the time of leaving for the holiday. We have lost over $20,000 and want to warn any further potential clients to STAY AWAY!!

A beautiful country with exceptional service industry and private wildlife encounters
We travelled through Uganda and Tanzania over three weeks. The time we spent in Uganda was incredible. The country is a lot quieter to travel through, which makes the game drives feel intimate when you have the wildlife all to yourself during encounters. Though it is not as popular as other destinations in Africa, it should be. The wildlife viewing was amazing, the accommodations (we stayed mid range) were way above anything we could have dreamed, and the service and kindness we experienced from locals was unmatched. The scenery was gorgeous, the varying landscapes accross the country were awe inspiring. My husband and I had the most memorable trip of our lives here and would recommend it to anyone.

Avoid this travel agency!
Our family was prepared for a Kenyan safari and 10 days before the trip, Denhum cancelled. 22 months later we received $1380 (of a total of $20,000). We believe Denhum's owner is a liar and scammer. Avoid this travel agency!

Very pleasant to deal with
Overall was very good. A bit of confusion about a few things at the accommodation we stayed at that they booked for us as part of a package, but I think this was probably related to the fact that the resort was new and a bit disorganized. I would book with Viatu again for sure. Well done.

Incredible
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of going on a safari in Uganda led by our incredible guide, Nathan, and his wife, Guilian. From the moment we set out, it was clear that they were passionate about wildlife and dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience in this stunning country.
Nathan had an impressive depth of knowledge about Uganda's unique ecosystems, sharing fascinating insights about the diverse animals, plants, and landscapes we encountered. His keen eye for spotting wildlife allowed us to see a variety of animals up close, including majestic elephants, playful chimpanzees, and even the elusive mountain gorillas.
Guilian complemented Nathan perfectly, bringing her warmth and enthusiasm to the experience. Together, they created a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging questions and fostering engaging discussions among the group. It was evident that they genuinely cared about our experience, ensuring we were comfortable and well-informed throughout the journey.
The itinerary was well-planned, balancing thrilling game drives with opportunities to learn about local cultures and conservation efforts. The entire experience felt immersive and enriching, showcasing the best of Uganda’s natural beauty.
I highly recommend Nathan and Guilian to anyone looking for a memorable safari adventure in Uganda. Their passion, expertise, and warmth made our trip truly special. Thank you both for an amazing experience!

My Safari tour was such a value with excellence in coordination and communication.
Wines created the most beautiful memorable Safari for me (a solo female traveler) with superb communication and professionalism. She made sure every detail was looked after and went to extra efforts when my balloon company cancelled- she found another behind the scenes which I’d highly recommend doing. The balloon company was called Miracle experience over the Serengeti. Five stars for them too. I upgraded to sleep in hotels instead of tents and I was not disappointed with the hotels they set me up at They were all absolutely amazing. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe in their hands. May main driver was Simba who definitely knows where to find the animals. The only thing that I would dare to complain about is that there wasn’t air-conditioning and it was very hot. You could not have the windows up and it was dusty in the Serengeti. I brought a fan to try to share with everyone, but it just isn’t enough in the hot desert. Simba was amazing though, safe driver, and very friendly and we saw the Big 5 and plenty more!! . They coordinated everything. And the communication was completely clear. Thank you to Wines, Simba and everyone. Trip of a lifetime!!

Better than I could have imagined
These safaris were far better than I imagined. Francis had a great schedule helping us make the most of the time we had. We saw so many animals… chimpanzees, giraffes, elephants, lions, hippos, crocodiles. I definitely recommend and hope to do more safaris again with them.

Not a pleasant experience - unpaid park fee and unfulfilled refund as promised
We recently booked an 8-day trip to Kenya and Tanzania through Morningstar, hoping for an unforgettable adventure. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.
While we were excited to see a variety of wild animals, our trip was marred by significant issues. We were forced to pay for everything twice in Tanzania, which was incredibly frustrating. Moreover, we lost a full day of safari time due to problems with our bookings.
Despite assurances from Dennis, the owner, we did not receive the promised refund for these expenses.
Additionally, we were disappointed to discover that Morningstar does not have staff in Tanzania. Instead, they work with a partner agency, which led to a lack of coordination and support on the ground.
We made our full payment two weeks before our departure, believing Dennis's claim that it was necessary to ensure everything was booked and our trip would run smoothly.
However, upon arriving in Tanzania, we quickly learned that fees-such as park entry and transportation-had not been paid. This left us in a difficult situation; we either had to pay again ourselves or risk being stranded in the Serengeti.
Dennis cited a hacked bank account as the reason for the missing payments and promised that we would receive a refund once we returned to Kenya. Unfortunately, this promise went unfulfilled as well.
In conclusion, our experience with Morningstar was disappointing, primarily due to poor management and lack of support during our trip. I cannot recommend them based on our experience, as the dream safari we anticipated turned into a series of frustrating challenges. Though our first guide Caleb in Kenya is great. He has 20 years experience and always wants to show the best to us.
Moreover, till today, we still have not received the refund. It's been 15 days since he promised to refund.

Mathys was amazing. He answered all my questions and provided excellent service.
Our 14-day trip to South Africa and Seychelles was nothing short of amazing. The four days on safari was my personal favorite with being able to see all the animals in their natural environment. My daughter and son-in law enjoyed the hike up Table Mountain and we all enjoyed meeting and talking with the wonderful people, of South Africa and Seychelles. Matthys was amazing in developing an itinerary that took everyone wishes and developing a trip of a lifetime. He always responded quickly to any question or concerns that I had. i would highly recommend Discover Africa Safaris for an amazing trip.
I can wait to go back again sometime.
