Review about Nairobi National Park by Claus Hjoernet
A little "tame", but O.K. for a short safari during a business trip.

Too many tourists
A really wild place for the experienced connesseur
My wife and I arranged our safari ourselves and didn't follow the beaten track. Instead of just enjoying the game viewing from "The Ark" safari lodge as the bulk of the tourists do, we stayed there for two nights. During the day we went on an all day game drive in the Aberdare Mountains equipped with a delicious packed lunch.
This was truly a memorable experience. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and there is some wildlife there that you don't see in other places - e.g. giant forest hog and mountain reed buck, and we had the incredible luck of getting closer to a leopard than ever before.
A big plus was the almost complete lack of (other) tourists – and a small minus was the toilet facilities during the all day game drive – but all in all it was an unforgettable top class safari experience I wouldn’t hesitate recommending to others.
Review about Kenya by Claus Hjoernet
Not a Zoo like South Africa, not a bush discoteque like some lodges in Tanzania (with South African owners) - only the real thing, spiced with smiling locals.
Review about Makgadikgadi Pans National Park by Alan J Castle
Stay at Planet Baobab, one of the quirkiest hotels anywhere and take an organised trip on quad bikes out onto the pan, where you will camp overnight sleeping under the stars. There is absolutely nothing there, but never has nothing been so magnificent as sunset or sunrise on this massive pan.
Review about Okavango Delta by Alan J Castle
Anyone at all interested in the natural world should visit the Okavango at least once. It is a unique habitat with some unique animals and great bird life.
Review about Moremi Game Reserve by Alan J Castle
Criss-crossed with rivers, Moremi offers tremendous bird life and some huge herds of elephant.
Review about Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park by Alan J Castle
There is basically only one main 'road' through this park, with a lot of very deep sand roads, and you have to be lucky with the wildlife. We had some excellent cheetah and lion sightings. There is one big camp on the South African side with all the mod cons, including a fuel station, but if you want the more rugged experience camp on the Botswana side.
Review about Chobe National Park by Alan J Castle
Camping along the Chobe River is an awesome experience. There is a massive variety of game including Roan & Sable antelope as well as huge elephant and zebra herds. There is also a lot of excellent bird life including pelicans, storks, egrets, fish eagles, huge flocks of carmine bee eaters, marsh cormorants, the list just goes on and on. The nightly crossings by elephant herds across the river into Namibia are great spectacles.
Review about Central Kalahari Game Reserve by Alan J Castle
A huge area with lots of wildlife but sometimes it's frustratingly difficult to get near to it as you can't go off road. Good camping but very minimalist sites.
