Zebra and giraffe paradise
I had so much fun and really enjoyed all the animals and birds that Kenya had to offer. Had an amazing tour guide and it was just such a wonderful experience. I would say to go there at least once if you are able to.
Absolutely incredible trip. Stunning landscape, majestic animals, lovely people and vibe.
Kenya is a beautiful country with so much variety. We did a safari to Masai Mara, Lake Nukuru and Amboseli. Each park offered different landscapes and experiences and different animals to spot.
We also visited Diani beach which was true paradise and I can't fault. Stunning white sandy beach on a beautiful turquoise sea. Think Zanzibar but without the pricetag.
October was a great time to visit, we had amazing weather. Dry and really comfortable for the safari and beautiful and warm at the beach. The Masai mara was quite green and we saw a lot of baby animals which was lovely. We also amazingly saw the migration which I thought we were too late to see.
We visited a Masai village on our tour which was fascinating. I believe there are many other tribes and cultures to explore.
The people are absolutely delightful, so friendly and helpful. When you break down on the road for example (I don't think this is uncommon) Hakuna Matata, no worries, strangers will stop and help one another and everything gets sorted.
We never felt unsafe but were mostly in tourist areas. However, as with anywhere, as long as you have your wits about you and are sensible with your belongings it's probably fine.
We visited a children's home one morning which was a great experience to see culture and life outside the tourist spots and support the community. We took notebooks and pens which they love for school and some games and bubbles. A lot of these homes rely on donations so I felt it was very important to visit. Recommend to research and check with your hotels for good ones that don't exploit donations.
Overall I absolutely LOVED Kenya and whilst we said it was a once in a lifetime trip... I will 100% be going back sometime.

Destination of Beauty and Despair
We travelled as a group of 3 generations- the oldest 81 years old and the youngest 17.
Cape Town has the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain against the blue sky, the beautiful Company Gardens and Kirstenbosch Botannical Gardens. The new V&A Waterfront is a pleasant and safe place to dine but could be anywhere.
The Robben Island tour left a lasting impression but could have been more dynamic
On the streets, the poverty and despair of the poor is plain to see. The highway out to the winery areas of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek is flanked by huge townships and morning and evening becomes a “snake” of overfilled minibuses as the residents commute to work.
The wineries area then feels obscenely decadent. The towns and surrounding area is charming. The tastings are great value and each winery normally has more than just wine on offer e.g gardens to explore, art exhibitions
We went on a 3 day quickie safari in the Kruger National Park. Surpassed all our expectations, in part due to our Wild Wings guide’s superb knowledge of the animal/bird habitats and habits.
We would love to return to South Africa again in the future to do another safari and explore the Garden Route. The people we met everywhere were delightful, food and wine were always delicious and great value for money. The weather and flowers were beautiful in October

African Big Cats Safaris exceeded our expectations
We (2 grandparents & family of 4) booked the 6 days/ 5 nights semi luxury safari ( Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro & Serengeti) tour from the initial enquiry with Justice to organising with Naomi and finally our exceptional tour guide Lavoi we have found this company to be so easy to deal with and very professional.
As for the safaris there aren’t enough superlatives to describe the animals, birds & scenery. The accommodation & meals were great. The friendly hosts at the lodges/ camps were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our guide Lavoi was fantastic he found the most incredible animals for us including the rare black rhinos at Ngorongoro (from a distance) the lions, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, elephants, impalas, warthogs, baboons and the list goes on.
Our last day was at Lake Manyara that was the only day where we were limited with sightings unfortunately no pink flamingos (but we did see them at Ngorongoro) we had adapted to seeing animals so often that it seemed a bit flat just to see one lion and some baboons! (How spoilt had we become) The accommodation at Escarpment Luxury Lodge was exceptional even the baboon drinking out of the swimming pool was a sight!
Don’t let travelling to Tanzania with the extra hassle of vaccinations/ malaria meds & visas put you off it is so worth it!
Thank you Big Cats team you’ve made some great memories for us.

They are very professional and provided excellent service. Their pricing was also reasonable.
We filtered some companies on SafariBookings that were close to our needs. After further communication about the itinerary, we comprehensively evaluated them based on response speed, understanding of needs, and pricing. In the end, we chose Amazing Memories. Their staff member, Dorcas, was able to accurately understand our needs and also provided us with many good suggestions. She was very patient in answering all the questions we raised. The entire itinerary arrangement and accommodation she provided were very satisfactory to us. At the same time, during the trip, she also helped us solve some unexpected problems in a timely manner.
Since our trip covered Kenya and Tanzania, we were accompanied by two guides throughout the journey (James in Kenya and Richard, whom we all called Ray, in Tanzania) for the safari. They were particularly experienced in finding animals. We gathered the African BIG 5 and also saw many other animals and their different forms. Especially Ray, one day we saw a leopard, after watching for a while, we were about to leave, but Ray reminded us to stay a little longer. Unexpectedly, a leopard cub appeared later. If it weren’t for Ray’s reminder, we would have missed the leopard cub. On the last day, when we were watching the wildebeest crossing the river, Ray also chose a good position, allowing us to see the magnificent scene of the wildebeest crossing the river very well.
Overall, the itinerary arrangement, accommodation, meals, transportation, and safari of this trip were very satisfactory to us. It was a very memorable journey.

Fantastic Family Safari with David
Serengeti Green Tanzania delivered the perfect family safari for us, with David as our guide. He kept our kids entertained and engaged, sharing fun facts and answering all their questions. We explored Serengeti National Park and were lucky enough to spot all the Big Five! David even arranged a picnic in Ngorongoro Crater, surrounded by zebras and wildebeests. Lake Manyara was another highlight, with David showing us tree-climbing lions and hippos wallowing in the lake. Serengeti Green Tanzania was organized and reliable, making it a memorable and family-friendly adventure.

Incredibly organized, detailed, and an unforgettable time.
The safari with Shengena Adventure was an unforgettable time! As we were booking, Kelvin was extremely helpful and responsive to my many questions. My wife and I came for our honeymoon and they said they would put a Just Married sign on the back of the car and have local beers in the jeeps fridge- which they did and we got to enjoy during the safari. Then during the safari, Makundi was our guide, and he was incredible. He was always on time to pick us up, knew all the roads within the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, and stopped whenever we needed him to for pictures of animals. He also helped coordinate lunch every day through our lodge and some additional activities we had planned. Makundi was easy to talk to, knew a lot about the animals, had photo ideas for us, and we felt completely safe with him as our driver for 4 days. I would 100% recommend Shengena and Makundi for a safari!
