Great safari, real Africa! I'll never forget it <3
4/5

Thank you so much Mike for takin care of EVERYTHING before and after our 6days safari! Very kind and helpfull person and I'm really thankful for everything!

We booked a 6 days budget safari from Northern Circuit Adventure and we really enjoyed it! Sleeping in tents was actually very exciting!!! Buffalos, impalas, gnuus and elephants came very close to our tents in the evening and night in Serengeti Seronera campsite ... We also saw one hyeena very close! I really loved it! There was only cold water in the showers and tent wasn't very luxurious, but it was definitely worth it all! Simba campsite in Ngorongoro was so noisy and full of people so we didn't see any animals there...

Our driver Isak was excellent and took good care of us and out cook Ben was a great guy too! Food was a bit poor sometimes, but that wasn't cooks fault. The chef would have needed a more versatile food ingredient. Maybe food was a 'budget' too ;) Anyway Ben was absolutely the BEST CHEW to make soups!!! Really tastefull!<3<3

On our 6 days safari we saw 58 lions (eating, mating and even hunting!!), 5 rhinos and ALOT of all other animals too!!! I would go back to Tanzania any time!!! Comparing to Kenya Tsavo and Amboseli parks where I was travelling last february, I would absolutely recomment Tanzania<3 So much animals! You wount believe it before you see it!

Best country and best safari where I've ever been!

Only minus for real comes from that our jeep got broken twise. First time it was fixed quite soon but the next time on our last day the jeep couldn't be fixed so easily (so good it was the last day!) and we had to leave our driver Isak alone with the broken jeep in Ngorongoro and some Russian couple took us in their jeep and drove us to some village where we took a local bus to the Sunbright Campsite... That was a bit exciting end to our safari :D

Anyway I really really enjoyed everything and our safari was definitely a once in a lifetime experience that everyone shoud experience in their lives!

A unique safari experience and amazing scenery at Hell's Gate National Park
Overall rating
4/5

Hell’s Gate National Park is one of the smaller Kenyan national parks and is located about 2 hours away from Nairobi in terms of driving time. Unlike some of the other national parks in the country, this one relies more on its physical scenery, rather than the number and variety of large animals present. This is not to say that the animals are few in number, there are still many, but the difference makes a visit to Hell’s Gate very different from the others. First, you are not prohibited from leaving your safari vehicle. In fact, one option to explore the park is by bicycle. I personally recommend this method of touring, since it is much more fun and freeing than being in an enclosed jeep. Biking through the park involves a trip of about 10 miles (16 km) in total, and is doable for any person in decent physical shape. The only reason that all cannot visit the park by bike is that the bikes available for rent at the park are used and perhaps less than ideal in terms of quality (be sure to verify that your brakes work before agreeing to rent!), and that the road is unpaved, meaning it takes a bit more work to pedal than on something paved. In exchange though, you get unimpeded 360 degree views and the ability to actually take in the environment with all your senses. If an animal gets too close to the road, your guide may have you stop and back up to wait until it moves a safe distance away. These moments are exciting, but I do not think that they represent much danger as long as you follow instructions of the guides and respect the wild animals. Second, regardless of how you see the park, there are more options than just animal spotting available for activities. Your guide can take you hiking through the gorge that was the basis for the scenery for Disney’s “The Lion King” film, which is very nice, and you can go rock climbing on some of the park’s cliffs and towers. The easiest option for rock climbing is at “Fischer’s Tower” about a mile from the Naivasha park entrance, where you can rent gear from some men who will also serve as your spotters for about $10 (850 Kenyan schillings). The gear is clearly used, but looks to be taken care of well, and you get everything you need including climbing shoes and helmets. If one has never tried rock climbing before, this is a very much recommended opportunity.
Since Hell’s Gate is so close to Nairobi, you can make a day trip out of going to it. The drive to the park from the capital takes you over the escarpments that bound the Great Rift Valley, and it is worth stopping to take in the stunning view of the valley floor thousands of feet below. Near Hell’s Gate is Lake Naivasha, and you can arrange to go on a boat trip on the lake to see hippos and flocks of cormorants. Both the lake and Hell’s Gate can be seen in a single day if you are willing to get up a little early, and it makes for a unique side trip as part of a larger Kenyan adventure.

About: Kenya
Nice people, Beautiful country
Overall rating
5/5

We had a lovely time in thisvery beautiful country. The people there are very friendly, accommodating and mostly kind.
The land is great and dotted with different ethnic groups with different culture. Loved the fact that most of them still hold their cultural beliefs with high esteem, the Maasai and Samburu being the most notable.
The landscape is amazing, from lakes to mountains, great valleys to high mountains, grasslands to forests.
There plenty of animals to see in the many parks in Kenya, our favorites being the Mt. Kenya region, Samburu and Maasai mara.

This is probably the most beautiful country I have been to so far, highly recommended for wildlife safari.

My family and I have had extremely fantastic experience travelling with Maasai Magic Safaris
5/5

My family and I travelled with Maasai Magic Safaris for Christmas holiday in Africa. The company was recommended by a friend who also happened to have fab time in Tanzania with them in 2011!We decided to email this company and communicated our wishes to Africa and guess what, they gave us superb options and we picked the first one on the spot as they relayed more than we needed for an African safaris for us and after that wired the money to their account for our reservations and notified us of the bookings immediately. We were met with flowers by their representative at the airport and transferred to a hotel for an overnight stay and this gave us another big note of the quality of the travel company we were travelling with, they took care of us unexpectedly and showed us how great their country, the friendly people and the amazing wildlife. We took over 4000 pictures during this tour and need time to sort them out to show to our friends back home!

5/5

We did the 4 days panorama and kruger tour, and the whole experience is fantastic!! The service provided exceeded my expectations. The punctuality, knowledge and consideration of Nick our guide were extremely remarkable. The accommodation, the vehicles and the meals are very good. We got to see the big 5, and many other animals with their babies, i we were lucky to see a fight between baboons and wild dogs. A definitively recommendable tour!!!!

Absolutely fabulous trip!
5/5

I've been on one safari before (Tanzania), which was organised locally and was so so. The trip with Indigo Safaris however completely lived up to my expectations. I intentionally didn't want a "mass market" trip and that's exactly what i got. Christopher paid a lot of attention to making sure all seven of his guest's requirements were catered for before and during the trip and that we got on together (in a small group this could have been a real problem). The trip was organised to a very high standard, using excellent equipment and wasn't at all mass market: our itinerary fitted in an excellent selection of game spotting opportunities, some cultural moments (with a real sense of a relationship between Indigo and the tribes we met) and a lot of fun! I will certainly be going on other trips organised by Indigo and i'm telling all my friends about them, if only so other people can share Christopher's recipe for "plains game bolognese" :D. Overall a fabulous trip and one i'll remember for many years to come!

Unique experience with the amazing wildlife, scenery and interacting with the local people
5/5

Communications were very prompt and good, price was reasonable. The tour itself was amazing; the scenery, wildlife and the remoteness and uniqueness of some of the campsites contributed to this. However the best thing about the company was the staff in the field- they were very knowledgeable, friendly and prepared to do their utmost to ensure that your experience was the best you could possibly have. Cosmos the driver/guide and Paul the chef were excellent examples of this.
