Pilanesberg
Overall rating
4/5

I visited the Pilanesberg in September 2014, for a long weekend. We stayed in the Madikwe facility. The accommodation is satisfactory. We hired a 4 sleeper unit. I slept in the "upstairs" bedroom. The layout of the units does not allow beds to be pushed against the wall, which I did not like and the beds were not particularly comfortable. We ate at the camps restaurant. The food was adequate, but they could not produce all the items on the menu and were slow to deliver food. Breakfast at Bakubang was good. The units cooking facilities were good, with a barbeque and other cooking facililities.

From a wildlife perspective, we were fortunate to see a number of animals including rhino. The dam had a number of animals and provided for some good photo oppurtunities. We saw several animals over a period of a few hours, and had plenty of photo opportunities. The range of animals is pretty diverse. The park has reasonable flora. Good views over the lands from some of the higher elevations of the park.

The reserve became pretty full during the mid-morning and their were a significant number of vehicles in the park. The roads are mostly good.

The park is conveniently located being an hour and a halfs drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg. The park is close to Sun City and Rustenburg.

My view is that for a short visit of two days the park is certainly worth visiting, if you are in that part of the work.

Review about South Africa by Jonathan Gill
Overall rating
4/5

South Africa offers a diverse range of opportunities for viewing mountains, the sea, and discovering wildlife. The Kruger Park is definately worth visiting. A person on safari could spend 5 days or more in that park. South Africa has a number of other smaller parks throughout the country. The Drakensburg mountains are spectacular as is the Garden Route. The wild flowers of the Karoo, are also something worth seeing in August/September. On the whole SA is worth one visit at least.

A totally amazing and unforgettable safari with Kakasii!
5/5

Tanzania Choice Safaris was extremely helpful and professional from our first contact with them to the end of our safari. Brenda was so amazing to cater the safari to our needs and budget and Kakasii was the best guide! We got to see and photo all of the animals we were hoping to and so many more! Often we were the first truck to spot an animal and other driver guides would ask him for tips or if they can follow us through the Serengeti. Kakasii knows all of the roads through the parks so well and seems to have a sixth sense for finding game, we are so incredibly happy we went with Brenda and Kakasii and will definitely book with them again on our next safari in Tanzania and will recommend them to all of our friends!

The first and best safari..
5/5

Jocky tours gave us a wonderful safari experience.
It was a great trip. Me and my family enjoyed all the game drives at Masai mara, the accommodation, food, drive at Lake Nakuru and everything else.
Ms.Minneh arranged the trip really well.
Mr. John, our driver, was a very good guide for us there. He did his best to show us all the animals and places he could and gave us interesting small stories about the animals. A special thanks to him.
Altogether, we had a fantastic tour and enjoyed it to the core.
Jocky tours really lived up to the expectations we had.
The first impression is always the best, and we loved our first safari.

A trip of a lifetime with great attention given to every detail and location!
5/5

I have travelled several times with Masihambe Afrika and each trip is designed with great attention and detail given to location, accomodation and activities. The communication given leading up to the trip is always very informative and useful helping you navigate and understand up front what to expect on your safari, as well as what to bring and where you will be travelling. There is great variety in the accomodations used to give you a varied experience and allowing you to experience Africa as it should be. The itinerary is top notch and includes many highlights that not a lot of other companies offer as well as very personalized service. The guides that are used can only be described as top notch and the best that you can have, with a real passion and zeal which leads to an unbelievable experience to those that are new to Africa and to those of us that have been to Africa numerous times. Once you have travelled with Mashihambe you will not want to go to and see Africa with any other operator!!!

Amazing Safari
5/5

My son, an experience traveler, picked Safari Infinity from an internet search and it lived up to all the reviews that he had read. We did a 12 day safari that was tailored exactly to our desires. We loved the accommodations, especially O Mesera and Kati Kati Tented Camps. I recommend March because the animals were just in the process of raising their babies, so cute, that it really added to our trip. We were there during the ebola 'scare' that was on the other side of the continent so it was less traveled by tourists!!! The food was excellent everywhere and our guide was super intelligent about where to go and what needed to be done no matter what.... Safari Infinity is a super well run outfit and small enough that it is very attentive to whatever you are hoping for your trip! I would recommend some tented accommodations but also some of the more expensive ones with extra facilities. You have choices with this outfit.

Awesome experience, great guide Hamadi
5/5

Me and My friend Narsi took the tour to kilimanjaro and safari to serendipity with Hamadi and group. They are excellent host and very helping. They are cheerful lot with many people trying to make good conversations. They are reliable and trust worthy. They pushed us when we were thinking that we cant make it to the top. They gave us best food available. They provided us guidance as well to shop in Tanzania. The Safari was awesome and very neatly organised. They are very hygienic and professional in there approach.

I would recommend them for best safari personalised trip in Kilimanjaro. I would like to travel with them again some time soon.
