We were lucky to take part in a 12 days Hwange / Mana Pools National Parks combination on a Khangela Safaris trip with Mike Scott.
This felt like the sea to summit tour showing diverse natural wonders with great differences in landscape scenery, habitat and animal population. Game spotting is always a variable thing but the plentiful menu will have a lot to offer in terms of different antilope, circus elephants, cats and dogs and great scenery with colorful sunsets at the river or with baobabs to dream.
Thank you for doing your safaris in a minimal impact way being respectful to nature and animals. We really enjoyed staying at remote places experiencing the luxury of being away from the crowds in combination with your great campfire restaurant. The mobile tented safari offers great freedom in trip layout and could be customized to our wishes. Together with excellent camp assistant and spotter Bernhard we were guided by a brilliant team.
The Camps you picked at Mandavu Dam (Hwange), Chitake Springs and Croton on the Zambezi riverfront (both Mana Pools) were excellent. What a wonderful experience to check out the surroundings in a mixture of game walks and drives.
Thank you Mike and Bernhard as well for spotting, pampering us safely, caring, sharing knowledge, cooking and much more –giving us memories to put a permanent smile on our faces.
This is definitely something to come back for !

A hassle-free experience
I went to Nairobi on some business and then used Chalo Africa to plan a 3 day trip to Masaai Mara after my work in Nairobi was done. I have to say that my experience was pretty smooth and quite enjoyable. The taxi drivers hired by them were helpful and courteous. The Kichwa Tembo camp was luxurious and the game drives were elaborate and adventurous with experienced guides. I even got a free upgrade on the room I had booked there. I definitely recommend Chalo Africa for planning a tension-free trip to Africa.

Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar
Together with a friend I climbed Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro and we went to Zanzibar. It was a great experience. We were picked up at our hotel (arranged by Makasa). Mount meru is in Arusha National park. When we arrived, we started walking with our guide. It is a very nice trail through this National park with wild animals. We slept in huts. We it is high season you will have to share them, but we had one for ourselves. The food was prepared by a cook of the team. You only have to carry your daypack, the crew will take care of the others equipment.
After one day of rest in Moshi we started our journey on the Kilimanjaro, Machame route in 7 days. We had 2 guides with the 2 of us (protocol of the park) It is a beutiful trail. The guides can tell you so much of the mountain and they know what to do with different kinds of weather and when there is altitude sickness. The mountains are their home. They adapt the pace to the physical condition of the clients, which is very noce. We slept in tents provided by Makasa. The food was prepared by the cook and also on the Kilimanjaro we only had to carry our daypack. The great team took care of the rest. The landscape is really beautiful and the sunset on Shira camp was stunning! The sunrise during the summit was amazing!
After climbing mountains we went to Zanzibar. The continental flight was arranged by Makasa, as were the transfers from the airport to the hotel and vice versa.
The communication was good and personal (and in Dutch). They came to the hotel in Moshi to see if everything is fine. When we sended an email we had quick respons and with our Tanzanian numbers we could easily reach them through phone. We could choose how we wanted everything, the hotels, the timetable of the continental flights, almost everything. It is no problem if you have requests for the food, it can be arranged.
Thanks to Makasa we had a sportive, relaxing and beautiful holiday!

Our 6 days safari was fantastic
I and my wife took a trip to Tanzania and booked with FANTASTIC SAFARIS. The trip was 6 days camping to Tarangire, Ngorongoro Serengeti and Manyara. I would to say thanks so much Fantastic Safaris for organizing perfect trip for us. The chef was perfect as he prepared three delicious meals a day. The driver was excellent, he showed us all big 5, he is very knowledgeable and experienced. The vehicle was good and comfortable and installed inverter and fridge, we charged our Camera and every day we enjoyed cold drinks when on game drive. We highly recommend Fantastic Safaris for any one who want to visit to Tanzania.

I can definitely recommend FANTASTIC SAFARIS to anyone for making our 6 days safari a fantastic! All of the staff were kind and knowledgeable. They provided the fantastic landcruiser which was equipped with mini-fridge and side sockets for charging our cameras and phones while on safari.

We planned our 5 days private safari via email and were impressed with the information given to us. We had pleasure to had a fantastic safari organized with FANTASTIC SAFARIS in November 2014. we expected adventure, fantastic tour guide, friendly staff and fantastic price and got all of this.

Overall good but some problems
The trip was for five days (manyara, tarangire, ngorogoro and serengeti). We joined a group so in total we were five people paying different prices. from 760- 960$. the drives were excellent but five days is a little too long.
When we arrived in serengeti for camping one sleeping bag was missing.
The car stopped working a few times.
Drivers good and chefs all right but they expect big tips, which we didn't like, Tip should be something you earn or feel like you want to give because you appreciated the service, not because its mandatory... They were angry when i didnt give tip...?
