The Best
5/5

We had a fantastic experience with Serengeti African Tours. We quickly received a comprehensive quote. Contact via WhatsApp went smoothly and we received quick and friendly answers to all questions.
The evening before the safari, Safina came to us for a short briefing about our safari. Safina was so friendly and she made us feel very comfortable. About the safari we can say that it was magical. We had a very nice, funny, spontaneous guide in David, who had a lot of knowledge about the animals and knew exactly where to find the animals. We liked that he didn't always follow the other cars but followed his own path. He showed us the Big Five. It was unforgettable. We also don't want to forget to mention Richard. What a sweet and caring man he is! And what a chef! he cooked delicious food for us for 4 days. There was always more than enough and everything tasted delicious!
What is also very good is that you are picked up from your hotel and dropped off where you want after the safari. Very good service!
We will recommend Serengeti African Tours to anyone who wants to do a safari. It is a very professional company, who know what is important to their customers.

Impeccable organization, excellent camps, and great responsiveness. An unforgettable Kenya safari!
5/5

I had an incredible experience on my Kenya safari, thanks to the fantastic planning and organization oj Jokey Tours. The camps selected were perfect—comfortable, well-located, and offering a truly immersive experience. Every staff member at the camps was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more special. The food at all the camps was excellent, with delicious meals served daily, although I must mention that the Mara camp could use a little more variety. However, the stars there were absolutely mesmerizing—you could see them perfectly!

Jokey Tours offered a great price compared to other companies I had contacted, which made the whole experience even more worthwhile. In Amboseli, I highly recommend doing the morning walk, as it’s a chance to see Greg, the elephant with the biggest tusks in the park—a truly amazing sight! Also, don’t miss the Maasai village visit. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about their way of life and traditions, and the people are so welcoming and eager to share their culture.

All in all, this was a safari I’ll never forget. If you're planning a trip to Kenya, this is the way to go!

Zanzi shows Great Personal Care and Attention to Detail and Personal Care
4/5

As part of my last minute plan to do a Kilimanjaro hike & African Safari I received 5 quotes. Zanzi was the most competive quote. The good news is I definitely got very good bang for my buck for the hike & safari, plus I was outfitted, at a very reasonable cost, for extra clothing at a hire shop. The 6 day Lemosho hike was great. Among the highlights were the scenary & experience of course. Plus the care and attention to detail by my guide George, to my fitness, safety and health, and ultimately I'm happy to say- my successful summit. (Not bad for a 56 year old that is an occasional exerciser back home...). The rest of the team were friendly, welcoming & finely tuned to their roles, along with showing a real sense of camaraderie & fun together. Honest is the boss behind the scenes. He was in regular contact before the hike & safari, & afterwards too... In summary book with these guys!! Once you successfully summit and complete the hike, and safari should you choose, you'll be very happy you did!!

Experienced, organized and efficient.
5/5

This was once in a lifetime experience, we (my GF and I) got the Private tour on budget Accomodation and we couldn’t be happier! Accomodation, food, service was efficient and greay. For the experience - They were abundant wildlife, beautiful landscapes and rich culture all around. I can’t be happier with my experience and big shout out to our guide Raymond. He was knowledgeable, caring, kind and accommodating to our time on the trip. We always felt safe, guided and cared for the entire trip. I recommend Jocky Tours and specifically Raymond to guide you if you’re on the fence. This is a very special life experience!

Effective and wholesome experience
5/5

Raymond is an experienced guide and able to spot the animals even from far away. They have a strong network of guides over walkie talkie in the Mara to ensure you get good sightings - we managed to see all of the Big 5 including the elusive leopard.

We got the budget - private option with a jeep to ensure we could maximise the experience, but the budget accommodation itself is pleasant already and it’s more important for us to have full use of the jeep and free range of the vehicle to get 360 views without restriction and maximise space on the long drives between Nairobi and all the national parks

Be aware that any extras on the trip, i.e. extra tours, souvenirs from the locals etc that is beyond what Jocky provides can be overpriced, I tried one or two and didn’t feel good about spending the money vs what we were getting. The main value and experience is already in what Jocky includes and you would not miss much without the extras

Trains + Lions + Local Culture = Dream fulfilled!
5/5

This trip was the perfect fit for the limited time we had (2 days) on the Tanzanian mainland. The newly electrified railway from the Dar es Salaam to the new capital Dodoma is up to US/EU standards - clean, comfortable, and well-serviced (no power outlets, but complementary water and snacks). The view is gorgeous (if you don't fall asleep - the ride is quite smooth). Definitely a worthwhile experience for a train-lover.

Our guide in the park was knowledgable and friendly. Mikumi National Park has a great density of animals -- we saw two prides of lions, dozens of giraffe, hundreds of Zebra and wildebeest, plus hippos, elephants, kudu, eland, warthogs, a crocodile, and a monitor lizard. You won't see rhinos (extinct in Tanzania), cheetahs (going to Serengeti for that), or leopards (rare), but all the other big famous wildlife are present. Great picture taking opportunities. The big advantage of booking a private safari is that you can decide how long to stay at a given spot (for instance, if this is your favorite animal) and can choose how long to stay in the park. In spite of our jetlag, we choose to spend nearly the entire day until sunset in the park, because the wildlife was so good.

The nature walk and the visit to the Maasai village were also worthwhile. Though socially conscious travelers may feel uncomfortable taking part in the commodification of Maasai culture, particularly when you are encouraged to put on Maasai clothing yourselves and join in the dances, the villagers are clearly consenting to your visit and are paid (the visit only takes up 30-60 minutes anyway and does not seem particularly disruptive). The tour guide for the nature walk was himself a Maasai who grew up in the city and received a higher education -- he gave us a valuable perspective on the Maasai and Tanzania overall.

The Kihindo Tours office staff were helpful and communicative throughout our booking a visit. They helped up find a hotel last minute and contact the manager, since we had forgotten to book something for the night after the tour. On the whole, this was a terrific company to work with.
