Zimbabwe is worth to visit more than once
5/5

Twice I've traveled in Zimbabwe with strong support of Nyati Travel. The vast landscapes and national parks are great, in the rural villages you will experience an authentic African atmosphere, and the people are extremely friendly. Like no other Nyati Travel knows the country, and as nobody else Nyati's mixed Dutch/Zimbabwean management (André, Goof and Elisabeth) knows to make a connection between what Western tourists expect and what Zimbabwe has to offer. Zimbabwe has not yet been discovered (and affected) by mass tourism. Even in the touristic highlights (Matopos, Eastern Highlands, Chimanimani, Zimbabwe ruins, Hwange, Victoria Falls) it is quiet. After two visits for sure I will go to Zimbabwe for a third time.

Extremely disappointing with a lack of respect and courtesy from driver-guide
1/5

Driver/guide Haron was rude to us, rolled his eyes if we asked to have the engine turned off to watch wildlife, and raised his voice at me when we chose not to visit a Maasai Village (perhaps he was not getting a cut of the $100). I trusted to go with this company as the Mt Kili guide had been recommended to me had set this tour up; this was a mistake and despite the Kili guide tipping Haron $100 in advance to take good care of me, the customer service was poor. Perhaps Haron was not expecting to be called out on Dec 31 New Year's Eve . . . regardless, the other couple and myself treated poorly.

Fantastic tour operator and extremely helpful/informative
5/5

Myself and my wife travelled with Umubano Tours in March 2015 and we have nothing but good things to say about the company or their staff.

All enquiries before the trip were made with Herbert, who answered all questions (big or small) and also was also willing to answer questions which were not about the tour.

Herbert was willing to structure our tour around what we wanted to do and there were no pressures to stay to a standard/ready-made tour, although there were some example itineraries and Herbert's assistance to guide us. A variety of hotels/lodges were also offered subject to our budget.

Once all aspects had been agreed, a full detailed itinerary was provided along with some additional useful information about the country itself.

On arrival we were met by Bosco who was to be our guide for the next five days. From beginning to end Bosco was a great guide, being informative and helpful throughout our stay - he would also always make sure that we were well fed!

In addition to the information about the area/gorillas, Bosco was also kind enough to share his personal experiences as well, including those of the Genocide, gorillas and his (many) children.

Wherever we went with Bosco we always felt safe and welcomed - especially as Bosco seemed to know everyone!

If anyone is considering using Umubano Tours I would have no hesitation in recommending them as highly as possible.

Thanks again for the memories!

The luxury safari package offered by Safari Hub was exquisite! I cannot stress how much our family enjoyed it; the kids also had a wonderful time.

We will never travel SA without Pembury !
5/5

As we traveled SA with a honeymoon itinery from Pembury in 2013 (Garden Route) and were more than satisfied we decided to come back in 2014 and travel from Cape Town to the Kalahari and back. It was an awesome and unique trip again and we were really satisfied.
Communication with Kerry was very easy and prompt via email, so was the payment.
We can only recommend them!

Great Experience with Patrick
5/5

One of our best experience! Patrick is a young and reactive contact and he delivered a great service during our stay. We organized a 4 days/3 nights in Mikumi and everything was what we expected..with so much fun!
He is local so he can easily also provide good reccomendation for any need it might occur during your vacation.
If you are planning a trip to Tanzania, do ot miss Nodven Safaris (f.k.a. Parota Safaris)!

Bernhard was an excellent guide and shared his extensive knowledge and experience with us.
5/5

Bernhard is an excellent guide and showed that he knew the park and the animals extremely well.He freely shared his knowldge and took us to all parts of the park.He also distinguished himself from the other rangers by providing personalised service (teas and coffees) and allowed us use of his binoculars. He is highly recommended and I will not hesitate to use him again! Well done Bernhard!!

The professional and friendly servic from Campofrio Safari in January 2015 was exceptional.
5/5

Over a six month period in 2014 I spent time communicating via the Internet with Oliver for a 14 day safari for 2 couples tailored to our needs starting in Kenya through tanzania and ending in Zanzibar.
We could not fault the service before during and after the safari.
The standard of the guides, accommodation ( only asked for 3 star but much better than that) and transport were above our expectations.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

7 Days Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire Safari with Africa Remote Safaris
5/5

When we started doing our research for a Safari company, we were at first very sceptical as most Europeans usually are when dealing with overseas companies. This was to be our honeymoon destination ( 08 Days Tanzania) and we were on a certain budget. We wrote to several companies and asked a lot of questions. We also used Safaribookings.com and trip advisor to make a decision regarding the tour Company. Africa Remote Safaris wasn’t the cheapest quote but compared to the local UK companies. They were almost 30% cheaper and half the price that Thomsons had quoted to us.
Although we had an idea of the sort of itinerary we wanted, Steve, one of the managers helped us choose the best itinerary in consideration of our Length of stay. They also booked our flights out of London (Qatar Air via Doha). I was working on the Safari day and needed a flight departing at 8pm. Africa Remote Safaris did not disappoint. They booked us on the flights and sent me the E ticket. I must say that we found their service really professional and in a timely manner.
My concern however was when making payments. We had preferred paying my credit card instead of the wire transfer. However when making the payments, we were informed by their Credit card merchant that I should send over my verification details, this included a copy of my Identity and part of my Credit card. I found this to be very strange. My Bank advised me against doing so. They tried using yet another system from their bank but with the verification requirement. We found this to be very frustrating but the Tour operator’s hands were tied. In the end we had to bite the bullet and sent the documents requested by the 3G.
On the payment process I would honestly give them a 4 over 10.
On arrival in Nairobi, we realised that our concerns were short-lived , we were met with Steve himself and our guide Mr Haron. Honestly while in Serengeti I realised that we had a very good deal. Based on the quality of accommodation. ( Serengeti Kati Kati, Olduvai camp and Tloma lodge)
We had an amazing Safari. We saw elephants, buffalo and giraffe and all the Big 5. As our guide had explained, it is very rare to see ALL the big 5 especially the black Rhino and leopard. Our guide found was incredible. We saw more than 20 Lions, then another 14 lions in Serengeti feasting on a Buffalo, 8 Cheetah’s including the ones that were hunting before killing a warthog. We also saw 08 leopards in total with one that was just about 2 meters away from us on a tree.
All in all, we saw so many animals and the camps and lodges were wonderful. I want to thank Africa Remote Safaris and especially Steve and Haron for making our Honeymoon very memorable.
We hope to come back one day.
