Amazing safari experience—we picked the right company for the job!
Our safari experience, from the initial itinerary proposal we received all the way up until our airport drop-off, was fantastic, smooth and seamless. We were happy with our choice to go with It Started in Africa's 5-day safari tour, with the added day hike at Kilimanjaro. Our guide, Martin, was excellent, and the customer service rep, Joao, was a constant source of helpful information. We found the itinerary, camps, food, etc. all to our satisfaction, and appreciated the professional way in which all the ISIA team members conducted our tour and accommodated our requests. We will never forget the breathtaking things we saw and did on our trip, and we hope to experience them again sometime!

Amazing sights and sounds on safari
My wife and I and two friends went on a 4 day safari through Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater with driver/guide Peter and chef Muina and had an incredible time.
Peter was friendly and informative, and the views and animals were amazing. My photos look great.
The food was really good too, loved the cream of zucchini soup!
We had a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience.
Thanks Warrior Expeditions!

Sharing a safari and the Kili climbing
I can say that I'm very happy after my experience in Tanzania with World Tours and Safari.
They were very helpful (to the point of lending me some clothes and a thicker sleeping bag up in the mountain), and I felt I was really taken care of. Even my guide invited me for dinner the day after the climbing in Arusha, with his family and some friends.
The safari was amusing, we saw the big 5 amongst many more. The only black point of the trip was that the car broke down at a certain point, so we spent some hours waiting for it to get fixed.

The best trip ever
Ten days have passed since we came back from Africa, and we are still under the spell!! Shadows of Africa took care of everything there, from the airport in Kilimanjaro and the hotels Natasha chose for us, to our driver and guide Charles, who had eyes of an eagle and impressed us all the time with his knowledge about animals. We visited Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti and we saw more animals and wildlife that we could imagine!! Thank you, Shadows, and cant't wait for our next safari with you, next year in Kenya and Tanzania!!

Perfect organization, very friendly and well trainned staff, they really fullfiled our expectations
Communications were timely and accurate, we had a liasson person from the beginning and they went even out of their duties to support us with administrative issues. Our expectation were exceeded and the tour and tracking of the mountain gorillas where really really one of the best experiences in our lives

amazing service provider for travel photography
20 days traveling through Tanzania with "it started in Africa" allowed me to photograph people, landscapes and wildlife in fantastic environments and with low budget I had.
I recommend this operator to all who seek to know the tanzania, with an optimal price / quality ratio.
I liked very much, and repeat all over again.

Family Safari Extravaganza
At first we were a little apprehensive booking such an expensive holiday over the Internet but Ute was responsive and knowledgable and gave us confidence things would go to plan.
We chose three safari experiences, all with And Beyond including Ngala, Chobe Under Canvas and Xudum lodge in the Okavango Delta. We separated Ngala and Chobe with a short stay at the Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia which was well worth the stay, a little qwerky, old worldy and had great access to the Victoria Falls.
Each safari park gave a different experience, Ngala with its variety of animals (we saw the magnificent 7 within 2 days) and the real benefits of a private park, Chobe with the sheer numbers of wildlife, and the Xudum with its variety supplementing drives with boat trips and traditional "mekoro" canoe outings.
And Beyond impressed with its quality service and attention to detail, well worth the money paid.
All in all a great trip we will all remember for the rest of our lives.
Experienced and Dependable
This is the third time I have used Somak for a 'special' holiday (having been, with them, to Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Zanzibar and Mauritius). Somak are experienced in their field and 'know their stuff'. They will advise as appropriate and also research and arrange any bespoke requirements their clients have - I usually have something I've read about that I'd like to do and they've never failed to disappoint. All of our holidays have been multi-centre but the experience is seamless - when we travel to a new destination, without fail there is always someone to meet us - which is invaluable when you are in unfamiliar surroundings. The only thing I would recommend to Somak is that they build in a courtesy call when their clients return from holiday - I usually have some constructive feedback where improvements could be made and I feel they are missing a trick by not doing this. But, in terms of recommending Somak as a tour operator, I wouldn't hesitate.

Fantastic Trip to South Africa
We booked our Cape Town and safari experience with Ker & Downey Africa after a recommendation from a friend. The properties selected in Cape Town and the winelands were spot on, just the right mix of luxury and simplicity. Babylonstoren in particular was a stand-out for us. In the Kruger, we visited Kapama Game Reserve. The guiding was exceptional, we managed to see all of the Big 5 in our 3 days there.

Wonderful Wild Wind Safaris
This was a last minute booking to Namibia with my wife. I am a professional photographer with National Geographic and was looking to take photos around Namibia. I really don't think I could have picked a better tour operator. Philip and Martha (the owners) made the whole process so easy, even though this was last minute. Our guide was Martha, who I have to say is one of the nicest, most kind and helpful woman I have ever met. Her knowledge of Namibia, its cultures, history and wildlife are amazing. Martha was unbelievably helpful to us in trying to get the best photos throughout the holiday. Martha was always trying to be available whatever the time and place I needed to take shots. In terms of bookings of accommodation, Wild Wind safaris went out of their way to secure the best spots for me, even at the late stage of booking. And in terms of photography, Martha really was so flexible and knowledgeable in helping me find and photograph all the main species. Thank you so much, I WILL be back very soon! :-)
