Encounter Africa Safari are an absolute amazing, professional, friendly organisation!! My daughter and my self went through this company last November 2013, to do the Gorilla trek, 2 nights 3 days, it was the BEST time of our lives!! They went far beyond expectations made it the most memorable experience. I am SO glad I chose this company. I have raved about them ever since and would HIGHLY recommend them. If you want to see mountain gorillas I believe this is the best park to go and see them. I went on Sunday 7th September 2014 to one of the entrance points (sorry I forgot the exact location of entrance) of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP. The group was small, arount 5-7 tourists. Before the track the guide/ranger gave us tourist/trackers a good introduction on what to expect and the do's and don'ts. Thereafter the guides were informed by the rangers where our gorilla family was found. Because they are walking, foraging and eating, they are not fixed in one spot. Then the tracking began. I am not a sporty and I was a bit scared now and then climbing up and down the slopes of the mountain, but they all provided us with a stick and you could choose a porter to carry your daypack and to assist you. I have to admit that I was holding the (female?!) porter's hand for almost the whole trip, but they all really helped out: the guides, the porters and the rangers. It was a very nice experience, they were all very professional and we managed to find the gorillas after around 1-1,5 hours hike. We saw them eating tree bark and sitting together. They (the gorillas) saw us, but for the main part they simply ignored us and allowed us to be in there habitat. We also saw them swing in a tree and sit far above us. After we had spend 1 hour with the gorillas we hiked back through the forest. The silverback said his goodbyes to us with a big fart :-). After around 2 hours hiking we came at a parking lot where our drivers were waiting for us with the cars. It was a well organized and wonderful experience and we were all rewarded with a certificate :-). We were lucky with the weather, because during the whole track there was no rain. Nice experience!

Great experience, I could not be happier!
5/5

The East African Voyage took me on a 8-day Kilimanjaro trek followed by a short 2-day custom safari in Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater and week-long Zanzibar holiday. I could not be happier with the service provided (including flights, transfer, hotel arrangements etc). This trip was in the planning for 6 months and during this period I had full support from Faith Kimani @ EAV, who helped me understand every option I had and clarified my many, many doubts with clear, complete information every time. During the climb we were assisted by an amazing crew of about 40 people - every one was kind, helpful and knew exactly what they were doing. Our trip leader, Mr. Victor Kynionga, cared for each one of us as well as his crew with extreme attention all the time. We felt safe and well instructed all the time. Food was great & plentiful, as well as all the equipment used in the trek. And, besides that, the whole crew was really friendly, caring and fun - just really pleasant people to be around! They literally went out of their way to make sure we all had a great time and the best chances possible to reach the summit safely - they even considered changing our itinerary mid-climb, when at one point we discussed if that would be best (we decided not to after all). After our successful climb we went on to an AMAZING safari, custom built for us considering we had little time, and again EAV's service was perfect: the safari sites were amazing and our hotel could not be better. For Zanzibar, same thing. Thank you, East African Voyage team! Thank you Faith, Victor, Ray, Big Mamma, Karim, Gasper, Daniel, Jerald, Nuru and all of you who made this trip the best of my life!

I Highly Recommend Moriti Safaris
5/5

Shaun took us on an 8 day excursion from North to South of the Kruger National Park. Shaun is outgoing, friendly , warm , funny , responsible, fun to be around , and is like an encyclopaedia of nature and wildlife. There is nothing he doesn't know about the animals or the plants and will teach you many interesting things when you go on safari with him. In addition to all of the above qualities he is also a brilliant animal tracker and spotter and we saw the big 5 many times thanks to Shaun, his skills and his knowledge of the bush. I highly recommend Moriti Safaris ! Thanks for an awesome trip Shaun. I look forward to next time.

Chris and the Safari Partners are absolute experts in Africa. They planned the perfect honeymoon for me and my husband to Kenya and Tanzania....from the first minute to the last minute, everything was incredible. They organized everything so I could sit back, relax, and truly enjoy my vacation. Chris' knowledge about Africa is amazing. I will definitely be using Safari Partners on my next African journey!

Super service for my last minute booking!
5/5

Thank you for the great service in booking my last minute flight-in to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP to track gorillas. I did not have time to go to their office, but everything was handled quickly on the phone and by e-mail. The Gorilla Tracking permit was even delivered at my office! The lodge (Lake Mutandwa Resort) was good value (with good service, excellent food and lodging) and everything was arranged well: the flight, the transport, the permit, the payment arrangement. I really can recommend Matoke Tours to everyone (I already did) and will certainly use their agency again. And of course the gorillas: it was quite a hike, but you can approach them until very close distance. One of us was even touched by a gorilla male crossing the path which caused some nervous giggling (on the part of the humans). Thank you!

Planet Africa Safaris created the best trip to Tanzania anyone could want - excellent service!
5/5

We returned from Tanzania last week and have to give Planet Africa Safaris credit for delivering a fantastic vacation for us. From the beginning, their communication was excellent. I had a million questions and each one was answered quickly and professionally. I was apprehensive about wiring money in advance but Planet Africa Safaris delivered everything they promised. Someone greeted us at each stop and each tented camp and lodge was just as described.

Our guide was knowledgable and friendly and in the first day, we saw more animals than we ever expected including two leopard sightings. We stayed at Oliver's Camp and Rhotia Valley Camp in the Tarangire / Lake Ngorongoro Crater area - both great spots. Be prepared for an interesting (and bumpy) ride to Rhotia Valley. We flew to Olakira Camp in the northern Serengeti and enjoyed the luxurious life in the bush. Imagine jumping up from the lunch table to watch a river crossing in your front yard! Again, we had an expert guide and saw many more animals, spending as much time as we wanted taking pictures and simply watching.

We wrapped up our trip at Baraza Resort in Zanzibar. Total luxury - nothing more to say. The food, accommodations, staff, beach and water activities were unbelievable.

I am very happy we chose Planet Africa Safaris for this unforgettable trip.
