About: Tanzania
Such an amazing country, the wildlife is unbelievable

5/5

We did a week safari followed by 6 days in Zanzibar and both were sensational. Firstly, our safari was with Serengeti Smile who looked after my family of four brilliantly, and we saw all the big 5 and more. The whole experience was amazing. Then Zanzibar … we did a couple of nights in Stone Town and 4 nights in a villa on the beach. Such a relaxing way to finish. Can’t recommend Tanzania enough.

Unforgettable trip of a lifetime
5/5

Beyond the Plains helped me organise our Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro safaris and I highly recommend Dorah and the team. Dorah was a pleasure to deal with and quick to respond, tailoring our trip to what we wanted to do. Everything ran smoothly and seamlessly and exactly to our wishes. Our 2 drivers/guides, Charles in Kenya and Joseph in Tanzania were amazing. We had the trip of a lifetime thanks to Beyond the plains.

Amazing Experience!
5/5

I had a great time hiking in the Usambara Mountains with Tanzania Horizon Safaris. They were able to accommodate me with super short notice and come up with a great itinerary. My guide was awesome, he was super knowledgable and a fun person to talk to!

Kikitu is the best.
5/5

We had an unforgettable Safari thanks to Kikitu. We did a 5 day Safari covering the Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Hell’s Gate - the price was right and the length was wonderful. Kikitu is respectful to the animals and has an incredible wealth of knowledge. We saw everything that we possibly could - including the big 5!. Kikitu is well organized and willing to help out. Thank you for this incredible experience. :)

Good experience
4/5

We had a wonderful experience in our safari! Traveling with two small kids can be challenging, but the process was seamless, and everything was well-organized. The fly-in safari made it so much easier and stress-free for our family.

The operator was incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed. A highlight of our trip was having a local guide in the park—David was absolutely amazing! His knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm made the safari unforgettable for us and the kids.
The hotel was fine—it wasn’t luxurious, but it met our needs and provided a comfortable base for our adventures.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and would recommend this booking service, especially for families!

While the trip was well-organized, and we appreciated having a day-to-day itinerary, some aspects felt incomplete at a detailed level. For instance, the hotel rooms we were given were not as expected, flight details were insufficiently communicated, and the lunch promised on the last day was never provided.

I didn’t have mobile data available (wifi only in the hotel), and thankfully my husband did, for example as we needed it to clarify which flight we were booked on—a detail we only found out by contacting the agency. Although the travel agency was quick to respond to our messages, I believe customers should be better informed proactively, rather than having to chase for information themselves.
We booked this trip on short notice and didn’t have high expectations for the safari, but clearer communication would have made the experience smoother.

WONDERFUL SAFARI
5/5

All perfect and reflecting the planning.
Guides always there to explain the wildlife and try to find the best spots to catch animals.
Big five done and many others.
Camps confort was sufficient, food basic but not there for that.
All perfect, I recommend at 100%.

Determined to please

Communication was prompt, clear and helpful with Passionate Guides. Helen bent over backwards to provide an itinerary that worked for us. We loved having our own guide and Athuman did a great job for us. Beatus, the company‘s owner inspired confidence and also was a joy to talk with during our transfer to the Kenyan border.

Great tour operator with attention to comfort, safety and security for an awesome safari experience!
5/5

Our experience with Mirisho Expedition Safari was amazing throughout our 10-day safari. I was referred Mirisho Expedition Safaris by Debby who has posted a review earlier. I am very grateful that I met her briefly, in passing. On her recommendation, we chose Mirisho Expedition Safaris as our safari guides. Omega, Sam, Anastasia and their team provided a comprehensive experience including airport pickups and drop-offs, accommodation, transport, park entry, meals, refreshments, unique cultural immersion opportunities, walking and cycling adventures, coffee plantation tour and the balloon ride over the Serengeti. The lodges were awesome with hospitable staff, beautiful gardens, incredible views, great food, that were safe and secure. Omega was an incredibly careful and considerate driver. Omega had profound knowledge regarding the region, its people, their cultures and had a wealth of knowledge and experience in the National Parks. Omega had an uncanny ability to locate the wildlife. Omega had comprehensive knowledge regarding the animals we had seen. Other highlights were Mirisho Expeditions Safaris relationships that enabled us to visit a Maasai Boma (village), to locate and meet the Hadzabe people, to be educated regarding Chaga people and customs including drinking the Bege (banana beer) and the Datooga tribal craftwork and their traditions. We witnessed some amazing markets in the cities of Mta wa Mbu and Arusha. We also loved the coffee plantation immersive experience and the opportunity to eat traditional Swahili cooking. Omega was an excellent Kiswahili language tutor - "Asante sana". The whole holiday was amazing. I am very grateful for the recommendation to travel with Mirisho Expedition Safaris and recommend Mirisho Expedition for your Tanzanian safari.
