Amazing tour operating company! Top class experience! Our Guide Castro was extremely helpful!
Our stay at Jambo Mara was very comfortable! The pool, the buffet & hot showers were a great relaxation after the game ride! Our guide Castro was the best! He made sure to take us to all the places so we could see the big 5 & enjoy our experience to the fullest!

Incredible experience with Muza in Hwange and Vic Falls
Myself and two friends booked a 5 day Hwange and Vic Falls tour in January. One member of our group could only stay for 4 days and Archie was great about making a change to the itinerary so we could go to Hwange first then to Vic Falls (which was the opposite of the traditional itinerary). Pick up at the airport was seamless; our guide Muza was there right after landing to pick us up and drive us to Hwange National Park. The entire experience around Hwange was excellent. We got lucky on our game drive and saw many elephants despite it being the wet season. Our accommodations at Miombo was very comfortable and clean. The home cooked meals at Miombo were phenomenal! In Vic Falls, our accommodations very quite nice and the room even had A/C! The dinner cruise on the Zambezi was a beautiful experience.
All in all, we ate really well during the 5 days, all included activities were thoughtfully planned out and enjoyable, and most of all, our guide Muza was phenomenal. I felt like the tour was a great value for money and the whole experience ran seamlessly. Africa Uncovered Safaris is a relatively young company but Muza has 15+ years of experience as a guide and Archie was responsive via email and very accommodating. I would definitely book through them again and recommend all friends/family to do the same!

Great safari experience with a knowledgeable guide
We went on a 3 days and 2 nights safari to Mikumi nationalpark with Mtila Safaris. We were picked up in Dar es Salaam and had 6 hours drive to the park.
We had an lovely experience and had Apolo as our guide the whole trip. He took great care of us from the start and was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He had very detailed answers to our questions and knew a lot about the animals.
We would really recommend to be in the park over the night so you can experience the evening safari and early morning safari. We saw lions, elefants, zebras, giraffes and crocodiles during our trip. We had a nice place for accommondation both inside the park and at Camp Bastian.
The only negative is that the drive from Dar es Salaam is quite long but overall totally worth it since the safari was such an experience and we really got value for our money. We would definitely recommend Mtila Safaris.

We contacted Tanzania Horizon Safaris for a Kilimanjaro climb with a female guide, as well as a 4-day customized tour itinerary. The communication was efficient and prompt from the start and all requests were accommodated. The entire trip went swimmingly without a glitch, and most aspects (pickup, lodging quality, food, professionalism) exceeded my expectations.
Props to our female mountain guide, Josephine, for being a star throughout. Special thanks to Colman and Dennis for their help on summit night. Isaya, David, Johnny, Barakeli and Douglas also deserve special mention for their efforts and kindness. Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to all the other hardworking porters for making this journey possible at all, and for making it a memorable and wholesome experience for us.

We have seen all animals, witch we wood like to see. We hat a perfekt guide, he knows realy everything.
Also the camp was verry nice.

Our driver Zepisa was top notch with his placement, and very friendly! Made sure everything was well with our stay.
He always spotted animals from far away and had excellent knowldge of how animals move, react, etc

Jacqueline who organized our trekking and Barrack were both super efficient and friendly.
The gorilla trekking was an unusual an unforgettable experience. The walk has some rough patches so come prepared with good boots and protective clothing. But the likelhood of finding gorillas with a good ranger is high and if you are lucky with the weather it is definitely worth the cost

Tour Operator Changed Lodging
I wish I had seen previous reviews before booking our tour. As others had stated the tour operator changed our lodging without notifying us beforehand. One lodge was downgraded and NOT what we paid for. We paid for semi-luxury lodging and it was a serious downgrade. A second lodge change wasn't exactly what we had expected but it was fine. No matter what the tour operator should have notified us of any change before we left on our tour. The downgraded lodge makes us feel like we were taken advantage of because there isn't anything we could do but accept the change. No refund was offered.
