My mother and I just finished our week long safari with Lion King Adventures and it surpassed all our expectations. I surprised her with this trip for her 70th birthday and it was just the two of us. From the accommodations, to the detailed planning everything was amazing. The highlight of the trip was our guide Haruni who went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best trip we could have ever imagined. His knowledge of the local flora and fauna was endless and his keen eye ensured that we never missed anything along the way. We felt like he was part of our family for the last week and my mother teared up when we said our goodbyes, although all great things must come to and end. I can’t recommend this company enough and make sure that you ask for Haruni!

TRIP PLANNING
Going to Africa has been a dream for our family but we had no idea how to start planning. Working with Morning Star Tours made the process seamless. Specifically, Alice was everything you need in a travel consultant: knowledgeable, responsive, informative, patient, flexible, and she made the process fun! Alice provided us with a number of different options based on budget, length of stay, activities and types of accommodations. All tent camps or hotels she provided were very high quality, transfers, trains and tours were perfect. There was not a detail that was not considered so the trip was incredibly smooth. She was able to support our request to visit six different parks and go to the beach, providing us with expert recommendations about timing, itinerary and important things to see and do from tourist sites to cultural experiences and even volunteering. She answered all of my questions (and there were many) to help us refine the perfect trip for our family. Even when we were there and had questions, she was just a text away. With her help, we created truly core memories which our kids will remember forever.
IN KENYA
Alice had booked us with one of their trusted drivers, Alex who was an incredible driver and wild life guide. We felt 100% safe with him as he navigated city traffic, rural roads, and some tough spots in the parks. With Alex we saw every animal we could have imagined and more including the "Big 5." We saw herds of elephants, lions of all sizes (the babies!!!), a leopard from afar, cheetah up close (including a mama and her young), rhino and many water buffalo. Alex was quick to point out even bird, monkeys and other small animals which were very cool. Alex was with us for 10 days and got to know our family. He worked with us each day to create a plan that was right for us and we had magnificent experiences on safari where he knew how to get us front row seats to the main attractions. He always found clean places to stop and gave us time we needed but kept us on track. He took such good care of our family and was kind, helpful, experienced, reliable, flexible, patient and fun to be around.

Mohamed was very knowledgeable, respectful and genuinely cared for all on the Safari
First time on a safari and it was beyond anything we expected thanks for the staff at Meru. Kelvin helped coordinate the safari and was super accommodating to our early arrival and making sure the driver was there on time and our room was ready when we got to the hotel. Our driver Mohamed was fantastic, best Safari guide!! He has lots of knowledge about the animals, parks, tribes and great stories overall.
Our chef was amazing, the food was tasty everyday.
Overall an amazing experience, we are grateful for everyone at meru for their hospitality and kindness.

My girlfriend and I just wrapped up an incredible 5-day, 4-night safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara, and I can’t emphasize enough how much we loved it. It was our first-ever safari, and I’d even go so far as to call it a life-changing experience.
As huge fans of animals and nature, this trip had been a dream of ours for a long time. Still, I could never have imagined just how extraordinary it would be. We were fortunate to spot the Big Five multiple times, including the elusive leopard, which came within 4 meters of us. The tented camp accommodations were fantastic and added to the overall experience.
Our guide, Herman, truly made the journey unforgettable. His deep passion for wildlife and conservation, combined with his immense knowledge and expertise, made every moment special. I feel lucky to have spent those five days with him, as we genuinely connected during the trip. Herman even commented that our safari experience was a perfect 10/10, especially since we got to see numerous black rhinos, cheetahs, close-up hippos, and, of course, the leopard.
Herman is also an outstanding driver, expertly navigating the rugged roads where other vehicles around us got stuck. His skill and foresight ensured that nothing disrupted our adventure.
