Professional help to organize an amazing trip!
We chose Kilidove for our Kilimanjaro trek and safari and a stopover in Zanzibar. George was very helpful in the planning stage and promptly answered over 100 emails! thank you kilidove for an unforgettable trip!
The worst!
I booked a 3 day safari to Masaii Mara at the last minute with Sun Splash Safaris who contracted with Kairi Tours and Safaris. I have been on safari in Kenya and since I travel to Africa for work am pretty easy going but this was the worst!
In the morning after a prompt pick up when I asked to stop to change dollars for shillings at a foreign exchange the driver insisted I change with his friend on the street. It was a bad rate and I insisted on going to the foreign exchange, but the driver was not happy.
When I arrived there had been 3 days of protest in Narok a town on the way to Masaii Mara unbeknownst to me. As we got closer to Narok the driver was on the phone constantly and there were very few safari vans which was very unusual. there were many cars and lorries pulled off to the side of the road and when the driver was questioned he was evasive. We went to the very "front" of the line to find the road blocked. and as Kenya police cleared the road of rocks and burning... Read more tires, we moved forward the road would be blocked in front of us and behind us with more rocks and burning tires. We ended up in the middle of the demonstration with tear gas and police beating people with batons. It was dangerous and totally uncalled for. There were only 2 other safari vans in sight, the rest must have been much smarter than this company.
Needless to say, we did not make our evening safari drive in the Park. Next morning we found out the walkie talkie that every safari van relies on to find the animals was broken and had been broken for 3 days! We spent the entire day driving aimlessly while the driver stopped every van he could find to question where were the animals.
The next day the driver "borrowed" shillings from me to buy an herbal remedy from the Masaii prior to leaving the park.
On the way out of the park the driver stopped at a small store to get himself a soda and surprise! someone jumped in the van for a ride to the next town. Great way to make a few shillings for the driver but not OK.
I have been on safari in Kenya in the past and this was the most unprofessional disappointing company I have ever used. When I got back to Nairobi I sent an email to the company. Their response was not their problem about the protest and while I agree they were not responsible for the protest they certainly had hours of warnings prior to our arrival and could have provided a safer trip. No response about the broken radio, shady driver, borrowed shillings or unexpected passengers in the van. Worst Safari ever!
The Linyanti has an amazing variety and number of animals and birds.
The Linyanti was an amazing part of our trip to Botswana. The number and variety of animals was incredible. I learned to get my camera gear completely configured and ready for use BEFORE arriving in the Linyanti. We saw wild dogs a hour after stepping off the plane, and encountered giraffe, warthogs, crocodile, lions, leopard on a kill, kudu and many other antelope species, baboons, hippos, dwarf mongooses, and lots of elephants. I am not a birder, but our safari companions were almost constantly chattering about the birds. The Wilderness Safaris trucks, guides, staff, food, and lodging were perfect (we stayed at King's Pool). The Linyanti has a varied landscape that includes mopane forests, tall proper forests, brushy/sandy areas, and swampy/river areas. The Linyanti was part of a trip to the Okavango Delta, and while the Linyanti is distinctly different from the heart of the Delta, it is easily as interesting and beautiful as the more well-known Delta region. The weather was pleasantly... Read more cool at night and warm during the day. Wilderness Air was great, with quick, fun flights in their well-maintained Cessna Caravan turboprop airplanes. Our trip to the Linyanti was an experience I will never forget, and I will definitely include the Linyanti on future trips to Botswana.
Review about Botswana by Ethan Anderson
After safaris at various locations in Botswana, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe, I put Botswana at the top of the list for multiple reasons. The concessions are better-managed, the variety of animals is better, the lodges are generally more consistently nice, and even the government employees are nicer. The Botswana government and concession owners are also more committed to protecting the wildlife in Botswana than other countries in Africa. It's an amazing place that is unlike anywhere else on Earth.

An incredible experience
This was my first time to Kenya to celebrate my second wedding anniversary. The kindness and professionalism shown by Waymark was amazing. They helped make the experience one of the most memorable ones in my life. Oh I forgot to mention that my wife, Wanjira, who is from Kenya also thoroughly enjoyed the service provided by the kind folks at Waymark. You will not be disappointed!!

Three Day Maasai Mara Tour with Daniel
our safari accommondation with KETS was perfect and we like to recommend this tour operator. Paul replied all my mails immediately and was very helpful and patient with all our wishes and requests. Banktransfer and rest balance payment on site worked without problems. Daniel our Driver guide is very experienced, friendly and helpful and always exact in time. We enjoyed the game drives him very much. Our camp was Ashnil Mara and we where very very amazed about this camp. In the night we heared the soud of the hippos and a lot of other animals, dinner, lunch and accommondation where perfect. Only the way from Nairobi to the Mara Gate is unpleasant, it takes 5-6 hours and there is very much traffic and a very long rough road. Next time we will do a fly in safari with tour operator KETS.

Best safari in Tanzania
First of all, Thank you Magda, Melek and team!
We went to Tanzania for our honeymoon. First a week of safari in world greatest wildlife parks and later on to Zanzibar. We were picked up at Kilimanjaro airport in the evening and went to our first lodge. Quite relaxed and the day after we had some time to see something of Arusha and we met our guide. He was GREAT! Along the week of safari you get to know each other and he knew so much about wildlife, Masai and Tanzania. We had great and interesting conversations. We saw Tanzania's greatest and most famous parks and wildlife in the most beautiful settings. We slept in the parks and during the nights you could hear the lions and hyaena's roaring and in the morning we woke up looking into big buffalo eye's. After a week of amazing sights and experiences we went off to Zanzibar, all arranged by flash safaris for a week of diving and relaxing! Magda found us s great spot with our private beach, dining in a treehouse or at the beach. We... Read more had a wonderful time in Tanzania with so many experiences.
