The most beautiful family trip we ever had...
5/5

After a first trip in 2010 for two adults with Kanuth Adventure Safaris, I wished to show my children (17,15,12) during two weeks the beauty of Tanzania. I knew that I wanted to do this with Kanuth. For us it was something very special, because I saved during two years the money for it. Kanuth offered us a very individual program for our family: Safari with game watching in the Arusha N.P., Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, where we stayed in wonderful lodges or tented bungalows. We made a very impressive visit to a Masai Village, had the chance to see my sponsored child (from a organization) and drove also up in the Usambara mountains where my children could take chameleon in their hands.
The second week we spend in Zanzibar and enjoyed the Indian Ocean, swimming, skite surfing, snorkeling etc. We stayed also in Stone Town and learned a lot during the spice tour, whit all the exotic spices and tasted many sweet fruits.
It is something very special, if you are looking forward to a special holiday with so much joy and that afterwards, nothing, but really nothing was less than in your dreams, but even more.
Still when I watch the photo album we made afterwards, all the wonderful feelings come back again.
It was really the most beautiful holidays we ever had, and we thank Kanuth that he made this possible for us. I really can recommend him!

Excellent Tour, great safari guide, awful hotel in Arusha
4/5

We booked a 3 day Safari with Northern Circuit in November 2014.
The Safari and all the Transfers were well organized. We had the best guide ever (Denis). He spotted all animals and knew a lot to tell about the National Parks, animal behavior and also Tanzanian culture. Also the Manager from Northern Circuit (Michael) is great.
Unfortunately they had booked for us an overpriced, but low quality hotel in Arusha. It is called cloudsview hotel (http://cloudsviewhotel.com/). It is located far from the center at a noisy street. Although everything was clean and the staff friendly, the service quality is bad, the breakfast not worth the $90 per night ad the WiFi does not work (because of internal network login issues). In the end they also wanted to charge items, which they said we had consumed, but which were actually part of the breakfast. Dreadful place!
We definitely recommend Northern Circuit, but ask for a different hotel!

This holiday was the best experience we've ever had and we have certainly travelled a great deal.
5/5

Firstly John and Hilary talked with us extensively to learn our personalities, then designed a trip to make the perfect match, regardless of their own preferences.
They were constantly in touch during and after the planning, resulting in smooth trouble free travelling throughout our entire trip.
Our safaris at four diversified locations were as different as they were amazing. Each time we thought the next one can't be as exciting as this one. We were wrong! Thank you Destinations Africa.

Mana Magic
Overall rating
5/5

Mana Poolsis is one of the most interesting and wonderful reserves in Southern Africa. I have now been 3 times and each time has been magical in it own way. Mana Pools is not easy to get too, it is a 4 hour drive from Harare, if you have to take everything you need with you and unless you are staying in private camp the accommodation is basic, but adequate. However all these things add to the charm on Mana. It is also one of the few reserves you are able to walk around without a guide. This is an amazing experience, if you feel up to doing this and are careful. To me it is not only one of the best reservesit is my favourite place in the world!

Kenya ,Tanzania safari
5/5

12 Days Kenya and Tanzania. Awesome planning.

We chose the 12 Day Kenya Tanzania Cradle of Mankind Safari and cannot commend this company highly enough. Steve, Haron, Shafi(Tanzania) and  Amy (Nairobi) really went out of their way to make our honeymoon Safari memorable. The organization was flawless,

We really got top level service and real value for money.
Evans and Shafi were our articulate and knowledgeable safari guides for (Kenya and Tanzania). We stayed at the Oltukai Lodge in Amboseli .
Our room had INCREDIBLE view of the Kilimanjaro.
We traveled to the Ngorongoro and stayed at Serena Lodge,Kati kati Serengeti, Mbalageti Camp ,Serena Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru(Lion Hill again great food and welcome). The lodges and camps that we stayed at were great from the point of view,Location, game availability and food.
In Maasai Mara we stayed at Mara Serena which was a touch of luxury and well worth the extra. We then moved on to Entim Camp which again was luxury. This is a new camp and although based outside the park was a treat given the personal service we received (as only 2 of 4 people staying) and the enormous tent that we stayed in, completing new, safe and good to be in what was a genuine Masai community (owned and run by Kenyans). Africa Remote Safaris arranged every detail of the trip and did so for a price that was better than any other firm and the same price as reputable UK firms were offering for road trips in a far lesser standard of accommodation.
Steve was exceptional: well informed and welcoming throughout. This firm could not have been better in any way and can be thoroughly recommended. Finally we'd like to promote the fact that by booking and trusting local based firms such as this you are investing in a wonderful country that needs such trust and investment. You really can't lose as it gives you exposure to Local people, you are investing directly in the country and the level of service is undoubtedly better and cheaper than that offered by tour companies. If you're thinking of 'going safe' and booking with an international tour company please have a think and decide to trust our review and you won't regret it!

Not great, but dealt with problems well
3/5

Let's start by saying the Ngorogoro Crater and Serengeti were both amazing. The standard of the food was excellent.
However, this trip could definitely have been done in 3 days not 4, particularly as we had one 'rest' day at a campsite with nothing much happening. At $135 per day, that's an expensive rest.
Also the tents provided by the affiliate were entirely unsuitable for camping at the top of the crater. Thin plastic poles, one of which broke, flimsy plastic covering, no guy ropes. the crater top is cold, wet windy and you need the proper safari tents that most other operators provided. All my stuff got wet and i hardly slept.
Upon return at Arusha, Bestday listened to my complaint and took it on board. They promised not to use that affiliate again and paid for my hostel that night, so i felt they dealt with it well.
