Excellent value, mixed feelings
4/5

Booked 3-day Masai Mara tour with JungleRoam, stayed at Sankale Camp. Saw a load of animals, but there are some downsides.

Pros:
• Value for price is excellent.
• Our driver James was very experienced (over 20 years) and had a great network with other drivers, so he knew where the animals were. He spotted a rhino in the afternoon when we were all asleep!
• Chesi works incredibly hard and will support you through your booking with everything.
• Staff at Sankale Camp is so friendly. They taught me some Kikuyu and Masai words, and I was able to take a walk in the valley with a guide.
• Masai Mara is gorgeous.
• We saw everything: lion, rhino, giraffe, cheetah, elephant, hippo, alligator, antelope, Impala, warthogs, baboons, monkeys, EVERYTHING.

Cons:
• Shower wasn't actually warm, but tbh I didn't expect that.
• Driver James was not always communicative about what was happening. But if I asked him, he explained anything I wanted to know.

Important notes:
• Almost all Masai Mara tour operators drive aggressively close to animals (off-road) if rangers are not around. If you are into animal welfare, consider volunteering at a conservancy instead. Or hire a private safari and bring a telephoto lens.
• I believe Jocky tours, Jungle Roam, and Sunnycreek are all part of the same company. You will probably share a Jeep with people from another operator.

Excellent attentive service with comprehensive detailed itinerary
5/5

After getting quotes from a few different tour operators I felt incredibly confident in choosing Inspired Feet. The detailed itinerary made sure that no stone was unturned. The selection of accomodations for Lake Nakuru and Amboselli surpassed what I was expecting for a budget camping safari.
Our guide was attentive and gave every opportunity for us to see all the wildlife Kenya has to offer. I'd highly recommend Inspired Feet. They will be the first contact for me when I next come to Kenya, which will hopefully be soon!

Really informative and a real eye opener into Soweto
5/5

Tinyiko is a really informative and friendly tour guide for the Soweto tour. Taking a walk through the township was eye opening and seeing the smiling little children was a highlight. The Orlando 1976 site is very sobering. Thoroughly worthwhile tour in Joburg - good value

Great experience overall. Stuart was a great driver who was able to spot many animals! The accommodations were also very comfortable and welcoming. We were able to see so much!! The Ngorongoro Crater was especially magical.

Fantastic place for a safari, with a frindly guide!
4/5

We have been on a 6 days, 5 nights safari and saw all the animals we wished for! We booked our safari months in advance. The initial communication was fast and smooth. After the first payment is was a bit difficult to get a confirmation. All in all the communication before the safari was ok, but it was not always fast and clear.

About our guide I can only be very positive: Bonny was professional, helpful and listened to our wishes, even when we didn't explicitly told him. Two friends of ours decided to join our safari and were avid bird-watchers. Bonny catered to their wishes as well. The driving he did was solid and safe.

About the car: it brought us everywhere, but compared to most of the other vehicles around us this seemed to be an older model. Apart from a cracked windhield and a window that could be barely opened, it was also not possible to use the charging stations in the car itsself. The armrests were not functioning at its best as well. So for the four of us (reasonable fit people in their thirties) these were not big issues.
I have material for comparison since the other couple did another safari in the South right after this and also my parents were on a safari a week later. It's best to ask questions about the vehicle beforehand.

About the lodges: most of them were good. The Kankari lodge on the first day stood out, this was luxureous. The same goes for the Ngorongoro forest tented lodge. The Tukaone Serengeti Camps has two campsites, our guide told us that in the park you get assigned a place. What we did not like was that we had to wait an hour at the entrance of the Serengeti because something was wrong with our permit. It was all resolved, but when you pay this amount of money you expect this to be arranged accordingly. We missed an opportunity for a sunset because of it. The octagon Lodge was our least favorite, it didn't live up to our expectations considering the first two lodges.

All in all we've had a great time in all the national parks, and I would totally reccomend doing a 6 day safari! And if you decide to go with Migration Venture Africa it will be a delight to go with Bonny!

Incredible
5/5

This company was fantastic to travel with!! My husband and I came from Canada for our honeymoon and had the most INCREDIBLE experience! From the start they answered all questions efficiently through WhatsApp prior to booking. Upon arrival Daniel gave a briefing and everything went as they promised! Our guide was Baraka who was phenomenal!!!! We saw every animal imaginable and he gave so much information about each as we saw them. Next let me outline the lodging…..the Suricata Boma Lodge is out of this world!!! What a gorgeous escape where you can swim and see Zebras walking near the lake. Then were the bush camps which were both unbelievable experiences!! Each took such good care of us and were eager to be amazing hosts! The national parks were outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone!!!

Good experience
5/5

Francisco and Mike are very nice and experienced. From the first day we met they, they had everything in control. Although we have some national park entrance issue , but they solve it. And Mike let us saw many animals including lions cheetah elephants and so on. The last day was rainy day but Mike drove car very carefully so we don't have any car stuck problem~ if I come back here, I will choose them again!!!

Everything I could have wished for
5/5

Stanley was an exceptional guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Kruger. He knew all the park’s hidden secrets and eagerly shared them with us, making the experience both educational and exciting. The entire trip was well-organized, with everything running smoothly as planned. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Great experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
5/5

We spent seven fabulous days with Safari 2 Gorilla Tours in December 2024, and we recommend their services to all travellers wanting to see the wild treasures of East Africa.

Booking the tour online was simple. The company is highly rated, all their charges are clearly displayed, explained and fair, and their response times are remarkably fast.

We felt secure and confident throughout the booking process, and in specifying special dietary requirements.

Our guide for the adventure, Aron, is a wonderful travelling companion.

Knowledgeable, kind and willing to go that extra mile to make our trip unforgettable, Aron immediately made us feel safe and informed.

The 4x4 vehicle for our tour was remarkably comfortable - which was appreciated during long legs of the journey - and the roof opens to give you amazing views and a great vantage spot for taking photos.

We saw all the animals we'd hoped to see on the tour, much of which was down to Aron. He's obviously well-liked and respected in the guiding community, and is linked into a network that shares information on locations of interesting creatures.

Aron was also able to get us into some incredible spots to take photos – he's confident behind the wheel, and knows how to a good angle for that perfect snap.

The highlight of our tour was our trip to see the gorillas in Uganda. We got closer than we ever expected, and the tour was fun and well organised.

We were heartened that Aron joined us for the gorilla trek – not because it was part of his job, buy because he loves wildlife and didn't want to miss an opportunity to get close to some of nature's greatest marvels.

As Aron was as enthusiastic as us about the experiences we were having, it made the trip even more exciting!
