Patrick was very relatable, friendly and proffesional.
I was connected to Patrick by the Airbnb which we were supposed to stay. At first I was skeptical wondering why I needed a guide after all we had GPS. One thing a GPS can do is to take you places but can't tell you the historical relevance of the place. Patrick was very knowledgeable, offered advice on what the best experience would be but wasn't overbearing. If you tell him we will set off at 10am, he will be there a few mins before 10am, so be punctual, he respects people's time and I really appreciated that!

I was in Uganda last month for a short trip with Mercylinah Wild Safaris. I was a short time in Entebbe and had an excellent trip organised by Anena. The botanical garden and the trip to Mabamba Swamps were the highlights. Anena was very knowledgeable about the wide variety of trees in the botanical garden and where to see the Shoebill in the Mabamba Swamps. She arranged a very comfortable apartment, transport and entry to everywhere we went with cool efficiency. She had a good knowledge of the area and was very responsive to my requests. I highly recommend mercylinah wild safaris.

Excellent and Unforgettable Safari Experience by Meru Slopes
My representative Jerome was very responsible: He took care of everything from the very beginning to the end, like plan changes, unforeseeable situations.. My guide Patric is excellent, knowledgeable, skillful and full of experiences. I saw all of the Big Five and many other animals like cheetah hunting, giraffe fighting, vulture eating and baby rhinos... Patric can spot the animals from a long distance, which is very impressive! All things had been taken care of accordingly by Patric, he is definitely a perfect guide!!

Childhood dream
Our safari with Meektrails exceeded all the expectations. It was the most magical experience, a real childhood dream comes true type of adventure.
The people behind Meektrails are beyond amazing, helpful and friendly, Charles was incredibly attentive, he helped with everything and answered every questions i had.
Our driver Francis is the sweetest person, he went above and beyond to make sure we see every animal. His knowledge about the animals is amazing, he knows everything, from the name of smallest bird to things like what an elephant will do next, just from a look at it. We felt safe with him on the muddy roads of the national parks and the chaotic roads between the parks as well. He’s working as a safari tour guide for 18 years and he gives you all his experience to make your trip the best it can be.
The lodges, that the company booked for us, were fantastic too. Clean rooms, friendly people, nice food, and there’s nothing like hearing a hyena in the middle of the night or drinking a nice cocktail and looking at the zebras basically in the garden.
I can’t recommend Meektrails enough!

Simply the best and even better
A good trip starts with the great booking experience. I know we were not the easiest costumers as we had far too many requests and modification requirements and individual preferences, but all these were not only taken into account but for every e-mail and whatsup message we got a reply within 1/2 hour but often within minutes. The payment procedure was also simple and easy.
On our midnight arrival at Addis Ababa airport we were greeted by our driver and transferred to our hotel. The real adventure started the following morning when Yhun the company’s manager joined us and became our guide for the entire Omo Valley tour. What an experience! We decided to skip the domestic flights and the journey was done with their comfortable minibus (or rather midibus), more than enough space for 3. Before reaching the tribes of the Omo Valley region we had a stop in Hawassa and also in Arba Minch, at both places we stayed in the Haile Resorts. Great properties, completely up to European standards. Once you reach the Valley one can feel that he/she is part of a time travel while visiting beautiful people and their villages. The accommodation options are simple, but the cleanliness is never compromised, also we always had great breakfast, 24 hr electricity and wi-fi. It is almost impossible to explain how mesmerizing it is to meet the various tribes and see how they live their everyday life. Been to 162 countries, this is among the top travel experiences. Our guide Yhun was the most professional, he shared with us lots of stories, information, but never too much. He has a great ability to sense his guests wishes and intentions and he can immediately react on them and accommodate any ad hoc requests. In extra we got a great introduction to Ethiopian jazz and several times we were surprised with delicious fruits, honey sweet banana, mango.
The whole journey went exactly as it was described in the accepted itinerary, only minor modifications needed because of the circumstances. E.g we swapped programs within the day. We got what we paid for and much more, a professional tour, a safe journey, loads of laughs and great conversations, I should also mention our driver, who navigated us safely through the sometimes challenging roads. (Never seen so many cattle and goats crossing the roads) 😂. Ethiopia is great country it should be proud of its heritage and it offers a wonderful time to its visitors. Would return anytime and would recommend Liyu Ethiopia Tours to everyone who looks for a safe, well organized, rich and fun experience.
