We are so fortunate to have selected African Big Cats. We were so impressed with their professionalism, prompt responses to our queries, willingness to change plans..We had seamless transfers at airports, excellent choices of hotels and the most amazing tour guide Lordy who was a walking encyclopedia of everything. Excellent game drives with Mtina
Mtina was an excellent guide - very attentive and informative. His experience and knowledge of the parks meant that we saw all of the Big 5 during our 5 day safari. His love for the job and the animals shone through which made it a truly unforgettable experience. He even managed to spot a chameleon on the road when going 50 km/h :) I think we have been especially lucky you have him as a guide and would strongly recommend him. Thank you so much Mtina!

I recommend being cautious when booking with this company. Paid for service that we did not get
Sadly, like a bunch of others you can see on TripAdvisor, we lost thousands of dollars due to the actions of this tour company. This company operates under African Kenya Safaris as well as Natural World Kenya Safaris, so beware of both those names. We paid for our entire trip, in full, weeks before flying out to Kenya. When we arrived at our second hotel, they said our booking had been completely cancelled by this tour company one full week before we arrived.
Our next two hotel stays were still booked, but the company never paid. We spent 1.5 hours, each time, back-and-forth calling and messaging on WhatsApp in the hotel lobby with all our luggage. Neither were ever paid. It was late, dark, and we were tired and hungry, so we paid (again, since everything had been prepaid before we left home) with our credit card for the hotel - AFTER the tour company rep, Mary, agreed the company would reimburse us. She acted like this was an outlier, but we later discovered there are plenty of other victims.The hotel staff were shocked and felt so bad for us, and offered to comp our drinks at the restaurant. One guide said he had never heard of anything like this in over 18 years of being a guide. It has been weeks since they said they would refund us the money they owe, but now they will not reply to any messages. Beware of this tour company.

I found this travel company online and, like anyone booking a big adventure over the internet, I was initially a bit apprehensive. However, from day one, Fabian put my worries at ease. He provided great options and different suggestions for summiting Kilimanjaro, making sure I had the best possible plan for my trek.
Once we finalized the details, Fabian stayed in regular contact, providing updates and helpful information that made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
When it came time for the climb, the team that was assembled to support me was nothing short of exceptional. Their professionalism, expertise, and encouragement played a huge role in my success, and all credit goes to Fabian for the effort he put in behind the scenes.

I cannot recommend this experience, company, and tour guide enough! We had several last minute changes and Axis Safari was professional (shout out to Monica!) and accommodating throughout the entire booking process. Raheem, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to getting us as close as possible. I have a unique background in wildlife conservation and he knew everything and more. I was very impressed! We saw so much wildlife within the first day and the experience progressed hour by hour. The service was exceptional— everything was taken care of on our behalf (including transportation and meals!) and the value was unmatched. Do yourself a favor and book with Axis!!!

Unforgettable Safari experience with Earthwings – Our Guide Was Basically a Superhero!
If you're looking for a top-notch, hassle-free safari experience, stop searching and book with Earthwings Tours and Safaris. Seriously. This small-scale, locally run company in Nairobi, led by the ever-reliable Martin, delivers big on service, transparency, and flexibility. From the moment we requested a quote for our 7-day trip to the second we touched down in Kenya, Martin was always available, answering every question (and there were MANY) with speed, accuracy, and patience.
Customization? No problem. We tweaked the itinerary, upgraded a few lodges, and adjusted transport—all for very reasonable extra costs. Martin even gave us insider tips on train travel and lodge options, making sure our trip from Nairobi to Mombasa was perfectly tailored.
Then came the real adventure.
Meet Ruben - our driver, guide, wildlife whisperer, and certified legend. Right on time, he picked us up, and off we went on our 8-day private safari through Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboseli, and Tsavo East in a rugged Toyota Land Cruiser (fully equipped with charging ports for our camera gear and kept immaculately clean).
Ruben wasn’t just a guide—he was a human binocular with built-in radar for spotting big cats. Seriously, I don’t know how he did it, but within two days, we had seen the Big Five AND the Ugly Five. He wouldn’t rest until we’d ticked off at least four different cats a day, and we drove from sunrise to sunset without ever feeling rushed. His local connections? Also a huge plus—especially when we needed a little extra time at the park gates.
And the lodges? Even the mid-range ones felt luxurious to us! Everything was well-organized, the service was fantastic, and we couldn’t have asked for a smoother ride.
We had such a blast that, after our safari, beach time in the south, and some final days in Nairobi, we booked an extra day in Nairobi National Park—just to go on one more game drive with Ruben!
Bottom line: Earthwings Tours & Safari delivers an unforgettable experience. Great communication, fantastic guides, and fair pricing. If you want an authentic Kenyan safari with people who genuinely care about your experience, book with these guys!
