untouched nature, beautiful and peaceful landscapes an experience that can not be forgotten. This incredible wide dead valley is magnificent. Lonely quiet countryside just wonderful. :-)
Another wonderful place is Graaff-Reinet in the immediate vicinity. a visit is a must.

these wonderful animals and unspoilt landscape with the many "wild" impressed us greatly. We saw many species of birds, but unfortunately are not connoisseurs of the bird world.

There is a lot of wildlife in the parks in the south. You need to have some luck and be in the right season, but it is impossible not to be excited. I am not a real safari man, but even though I liked visiting some of the parks. The 'Bush vibe' is less in the south, it is all very organized. There are a lot of tours going around and Kenya gets a lot of tourists. The north is different, not many people venture north to the Turkana area. It takes time and effort to go there and besides that, most people go to Kenya for the wildlife that is more in the south.

Same as my previous comment, the country and people are fantastic, the wildlife plentiful, it would be a shame not to go there if you have the opportunity

Flights are easy and it's relatively safe. You can easily spend a night in Dar Es Salaam on arrival before flying out to the safari camp, and there are also lovely beaches too for the tail-end of your holiday (you don't need to go to Zanzibar). Mostly though I rate it because Selous was such a superb park
