"The tour operator was professional, attentive, and made the entire journey smooth, safe
The tour operator was incredibly thoughtful, with excellent hotel arrangements and a knowledgeable guide, Johnny Jackson, who skillfully tracked animals and always found the best spots for us to observe and take amazing photos

MY VISIT TO THE MURCHISON FALLS IN UGANDA
The journey was an amazing experience coupled with the meticulous planning of the Tour Guard, Mr. Derrick and the Driver, Mr. Michael. The journey from Entebbe to the Hotel reservation as well as the Safari tours to the Murchison Falls was seamlessly arranged. The experience was something that will remain indelible to me and the rest of the group. Thank you for making it an unforgettable experience.

Very professional and proactive
I booked a trip with Horizon Gest Safaris and it was absolutely incredible!
Our guide, George was well experienced ! We saw all of the Big Five, which was such a thrilling encounter .
The lodge we stayed at was nothing short of amazing. I couldn’t have asked for anything more!

We felt taken advantage of during our experience.
It's a disgrace. They took our $5,000 while traveling with my family. Watch out, they're thieves!

Dishonest company
We had a very disappointing experience with this company. We ended up being charged twice for the same trip, and despite our efforts, the issue was not resolved. We feel that our money was taken unfairly. Based on our experience, we strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company.

perfect
Excellent value for money, good hotels and camps offered (the ones at Masai Mara and Serengeti are excellent). Drivers always looking for the best opportunities to spot animals and with safe driving. Susan, always available and ready to answer both during the organization of the trip and once you arrive in Kenya, an added value.

Ol Pejeta is a beautiful park!
We saw many wild animals. Everything was excellently taken care of by Hagyko. Our driver/guide Harrison drove fine and could tell a lot about the animals.

Great from start to finish...
Wow where do I start… what an incredible few days with EPIC and Jerome. For context I am a mid-30s male from London, travelling solo, and it is not my first time in Africa.
Firstly, due to issues with flight cancellations I want to thank Jerome (my guide for the trip) for being so accommodating with last minute changes to my arrival time. He met me at arrivals and was happy to let me spend some time speaking with Rwandair staff to resolve a query. Once we got on the road towards Bwindi he was clearly very well informed about Rwanda and his native Uganda. I learned a lot in those 5/6 hours as we crossed the border and settled in for the night.
The next day was Gorilla Habituation day, and luckily for me, with it being the low season I was the only tourist on the expedition (along with 3 trackers, 2 scouts armed with rifles, 1 guide and 1 porter). We only had to hike for 1hr20min before finding a family of 9 gorillas, and words cannot come close to describing the experience.... Read more You simply cannot gauge the true size of these beautiful creatures, or understand the thrill when they move past you seeking out more vines. The habituation experience offers 4 hours with the gorillas but eventually I spent only 3 hours - which I’m glad for because on the hike back I managed to spot the endemic 3 horned chameleon crossing our path. We spent the remainder of the day crossing the border back to Rwanda and spent a relaxing evening near Volcano National Park.
Another early start gave us the opportunity to see the Golden Monkeys in VNP. Sadly, any experience after the gorillas is going to be mildly underwhelming but these unique critters were still a sight to behold. This activity was over in 1 hour and perhaps would be good to combine with another excursion with most of the day remaining. In the end I changed my flights to begin my next adventure in Kenya that evening.
Overall the experience with Jerome was incredible. He made me feel very relaxed and at home in a new country, with his humour and knowledge of the area. His English was perfect, as well as all of the other languages he spoke which were especially useful on the odd occasion. The 4x4 car we had was very comfortable and managed well with the road conditions at high altitude. I would highly recommend Jerome / EPIC / this tour (which can be customised) to anyone!

Izzy & Duan thank you for the special experience!
Izzy and Duan were absolutely exceptional camp managers during our stay in South Africa. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome, comfortable, and completely at home in the heart of the bush. Their attention to detail, warmth, and passion for what they do shone through every aspect of the experience. They struck the perfect balance between professional and personal – always on hand to help, yet giving us the space to fully relax and soak up the magic of safari life. Every meal, every game drive, every moment felt effortlessly seamless thanks to their organisation and care. It was truly a privilege to be looked after by them – they made our trip unforgettable. Thank you both so much!

An unforgettable experience thanks to our amazing guide Baraka!!
We successfully reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro – and we owe so much of that to our incredible guide Baraka! From the very beginning, he created a warm, safe, and encouraging atmosphere. His knowledge of the mountain, the terrain, and the weather was outstanding, and he always knew exactly when we needed a break, when to push forward, and when to slow down.
What stood out most was his positive energy and endless patience. Even during the toughest parts of the climb, he motivated us with a smile and his constant reminder: “Pole pole” – slowly but surely, we made it. Thanks to his guidance, we never felt lost or uncertain. He truly made this journey not only successful, but also deeply meaningful due to our wedding proposal on top of the Kilimanjaro.
Highly recommend to anyone considering this adventure – you’ll be in the best hands!
