Professional, caring, and exceptionally organized.
5/5

Our day began in the crisp early morning as we left Arusha, filled with excitement and anticipation. By 8:00 AM, we arrived at the gateway of the Marangu Route and kicked off our adventure amidst the serene beauty of the Tanzanian landscape.

Every step of the hike was an unforgettable experience, with nature revealing its wonders at every turn. The vibrant hues of the sunrise, the cool mist of the morning air, and the majestic views made the journey truly magical.

Adding a personal touch to our adventure was our incredible guide, Msuya. His deep knowledge of the terrain, combined with a genuinely humble and helpful nature, made our hike not only safe but also immensely enriching. Msuya’s insightful commentary and warm personality transformed the trek into a deeply memorable experience.

This one day hike on the Marangu Route was a perfect blend of thrill, beauty, and heartfelt hospitality an adventure I would highly recommend to anyone seeking to connect with nature in the most inspiring way possible.

It was a perfect tour from start to finish.
5/5

Our Perfect Guide King David takes care of us anytime, anywhere and finds invisible animals and lets us know. He kindly taught us many of our questions, one by one. Also, Pascoe, the chef who was in charge of our meals, served delicious food for us every day. These two became our friends. And unlimited drinks and drinks were provided during the tour. We saw many animals and scenery for five days and it was a great experience. If you're thinking of a safari tour, book a Makini Safari tour right now!

Prompt, reliable, & fabulous transport for a wheelchair user
5/5

Judith met us at the Botswana/Zimbabwe border & tranported us throughout our 2-day stay in Victoria Falls.
She was a delight: kind, courteous & prompt.
The minibus had an amazing rear lift which lifted me & my wheelchair into the minibus both safely & securely.
Judith took us to Victoria Falls, together with a lovely personal guide who was very informative.
That evening, Judith drove us to an evening dinner cruise on the Zambezi & was there to collect us at the end of the cruise.
From collection at the border through to dropping us to the Vic Falls airport, Judith had everything in hand - all we had to do was enjoy the experiences!
And it was definitely the best transport I've ever experienced as a wheelchair user!

Best safari guides and company in Tanzania!
5/5

Frank and Gaspar are incredible. They catered to our needs and treated us as honored guests every single day. We were on a mission to visit several churches and schools along with getting to know the Maasai people followed by a safari into Arusha National Park. All along Frank and Gaspar were the ultimate professionals. They participated in our mission and became our friends. Both offered to drive us wherever we needed and had such a great sense of humor that we'll remember this trip forever. They even cleaned their vehicles every day so they always looked great. There was always water provided and their commentary on Tanzania, the wildlife, the culture and the Maasai was invaluable. Thank you and bless you Frank and Gaspar! I wouldn't hesitate to use them for any activity in Tanzania - you won't be disappointed! They will go above and beyond. I come away from this trip feeling the love of the Tanzanian people and appreciating the amazing animals and habitats that we experienced.

Well planned, packed itinerary with responsive operator and knowledgeable guides
5/5

Had the best time on our safari through Kenya and Tanzania organized by Pavillion Safaris! Peter was responsive and helpful, and constantly checking in on how we were through the 10 day safari. Our guides were very knowledgeable, and excellent drivers. Our guide in Kenya, Boniface helped us identify birds, told us the history of the parks we went through, and always checked in to see if any of the members in his van needed support. We took the van option in Kenya and a jeep in Tanzania, and they were both very comfortable. When we had questions, both Peter and our guides were available to help and answer, including stopping at ATMs to withdraw extra cash, getting SIM cards etc. Peter was also very accommodating to our amended itinerary since we planned to fly to Zanzibar on day 11 instead of returning by car to Nairobi as suggested on the trip.

To note: there are many 8+ hours of driving days in the safari, some primarily spent in game drives through national parks, others on getting from one park to another. The guides/drivers are incredible drivers, and even though the roads aren't always perfect, I never felt motion sickness through the trip. One recommendation would be to bring face masks, as some of the parks are windy and dusty.

The accommodations and food both in Kenya and Tanzania were adequate. In Kenya, we stayed in large campsites with regular beds, washrooms, and hot showers. Lunch was packed (sandwich + fruits and juice), and dinner and breakfast were served at the campsites. In Tanzania, we stayed in regular tents on a campground with shared bathroom facilities. All meals in Tanzania were served hot and fresh.

Do mention any dietary restrictions to the guides and Peter ahead of time - they do their best to accommodate them but it's not always available. As a vegetarian, I had no trouble with food throughout the trip, although a vegan in our group had more struggle for a day or two.

Overall, I'd highly recommend Pavillion Safaris, organized by Peter, and both Boniface and Rueben, our guides through the safari.
