Disabled-friendly
5/5

The vehicle was equipped with a ramp and the driver helped me easily get access to the vehicle. Being wheelchair-bound, I was stressed but Moafrika handled me with the utmost care. I am so happy and thankful.

Axis travels planned the entire trip for my group of 10 people and everything was well organized. Tour guide Geeman was very knowledgeable and helpful. He knew lot of things about animals, trees and birds. We all enjoyed the travel and safaris.

Best experience
5/5

First safari in my life and it was a wonderful experience! 5 days are the perfect number of days to see many animals and explore the main parks in Tanzania!
Organization was smooth, food and accomodations always super good!
I would highly recommend Suricata for your safari in Tanzania and a special thanks to the team, especially Daniel and our guide Ezekiel!

Kathi stood out from the crowd providing us with unparalleled service end-to-end.
5/5

Kathi, with African Welcome Safaris is a skilled tour operator with a deep understanding of her profession. She was willing to listen to our preferences to create a custom package with the best possible rates. She took the time to understand our needs and budget and provided us with a hassle-free trip of a lifetime to Cape Town and Sabi Sands private reserve where we saw all of the Big 5 plus leopards daily. She organized our accommodations, meals, sightseeing and transportation efficiently. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent.

Our accommodation in Sabi Sands was luxury at it's finest. Kathi provided us with an extraordinary trip end-to-end by arranging for all of our airport, hotel and tour pickups and drop offs and first class accommodations that we would never have been able to find on our own. Our drivers were on time arriving in clean, comfortable transportation with courteous and friendly attitudes.

One of our internal flights experienced a weather delay. I contacted Kathi and she answered my text immediately and stayed with us constantly until the weather cleared and we were on our way again. She even contacted the airport and gave us more up to the minute news before the airline provided it.

I got to know Kathi through our numerous conversations where she displayed a quick sense of humor along with thoughtful travel assistance.

My husband and I have traveled throughout the world and rank this trip at the top of our most memorable and hope one day to travel back to Africa as it is a truly magical place and African Welcome Safaris made it all happen.

Amazing safari with Meru Slopes
5/5

It has been an incredible experience! We have done a 6-day safari trip with Meru Slopes from Arusha, visiting Tarangire Park, Serengeti (we went up to the north) and Ngorongoro. We have done the safari with Mohamed as the driver, who is amazing! Very good driver, very good Spanish speaker driver and he has very good eyesight to see all the animals. Thanks to him we have seen the Big Five and we have been very lucky to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara River, as well as seeing giraffes, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and many more. They have been magical days! We would also like to thank Almachius very much, who helped us and advised us in the previous months with the doubts that we had. As a tip, we would encourage you to do the safari privately, we did it just the two of us and it is great to be able to stop as long as you want in each place, in addition to being very comfortable in the car and being able to move from one place to another to take good photos.

Amazing experience in Tanzania & Uganda
5/5

We went on a 12-day safari through Tanzania and Uganda with Mega Wild Safaris, and can highly recommend! It is a professional company, with terrific personnel. The trip was extraordinary from beginning to end.

Emmanuel met us at our hotel in Arusha, and just an hour or so later we were experiencing incredible wildlife at Tarangire National Park. I mean - up close and personal with giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, buffalo, wildebeest! Amazing start. We spent the next three days in various parts of the Serengeti and were wowed by many lions, a leopard right above us in a tree, hippos, and thousands of wildebeests making the Great Migration across the River Mara!! Wild! Ngorongoro Crater was beautiful too... so amazing to see so many different animals all within a 360 of the jeep. There are no paved roads in the Serengeti, so be prepared for a lot of bumping and jostling ("the African massage") and dust. Emmanuel was fantastic! He regularly arrived at the perfect viewing spot well before the other safari vehicles, and worked hard to make sure that we got the best vantage point. He is extremely knowledgeable about the land, the animals and the people (apart from speaking several languages fluently) and was excellent company throughout the drives and meal times. At the end, he made sure we were safely checked in at the Kilimanjaro airport.

Mega Wild booked our flight from Tanzania to Uganda, and it went off without a hitch. Dalson picked us up at Entebbe Airport, and we were immediately with a new friend :) We drove for several hours across beautiful lush Uganda, and Dalson helped interpret what we were seeing at every step. Our experiences with the chimpanzees and with the gorillas were beyond belief. Such close access, such magic. We felt that we really got to know something about Ugandan life through our long chats (and laughs) with Dalson, which put everything we were seeing into context.

Our accommodations were all fine, with some of them being quite luxurious and others more basic. Sometimes there can be power or hot water issues along the way, but these were usually resolved quickly. Everyone at the lodges treated us well, and the food was quite good. We are vegans but were flexing to vegetarian for the trip. Emmanuel and Dalson always communicated with the lodges, so that we almost always had good variety and tasty food at dinner. Breakfast and boxed lunches were sometimes a bit sketchy, but there was always plenty of fresh fruit and bread and we had brought granola bars and other snacks to augment. In Uganda, we recommend the Ride 4 a Woman lodge near the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - they provide lovely accommodations and food, and all profits go to help local women develop skills and independence.

We had good communication with Anne Bright before and during the trip. There were some last minute changes made to the itinerary, but most of these were for the better.

There are tons of safari companies out there. We chose Mega Wild because they were local, the prices were reasonable, and we appreciated the good communication in our early enquiries. We were happy with our choice!
