The Great Wildebeest Migration - Magnificent! Unforgettable!
5/5

Our guide/driver Mr. Ezekiel Senkoro is a really seasoned professional. Though the chance of seeing all the Big 5 through this trip is likely at 50/50, but his effort of finding them is always 100%. So thankfully, we saw all the big 5, including two black rhinos, plus several times of legions of wildebeest crossing over Mara River.

The operator's response to my initial inquiry for a customized safari was swift and managed to secure one of the lodges that was in high demand.

Simply outststanding! Highly recommend.

Outstanding service and what an amazing "once in a lifetime" experience.
I cannot thank Martin and his team enough. Despite having a very narrow time window and a restricted budget, Martin managed to find a way to deliver the fantastic canoe safari experience I hoped for. I also needed to make significant last minute timing changes and Martin deftly managed to rearrange all arrangements accordingly.
The canoe safari was terrific. The itinerary, guides, food and equipment was exactly as communicated. Canoeing on the Zambezi is an amazing experience. The scenery was straight out of National Geographic and we got to see loads of animals and birds. It was such a privilege to be immersed in nature taking it all in. Simply amazing.
Martin was very helpful in planning the trip. I had lots and lots of questions and Martin was always open, courteous and quick to respond. The information he provided was spot on and made the trip for me.
The experience was great value for money.
Highly recommend.

Our contact at Discover Africa was knowledgeable and helpful and made our trip smooth and easy.

Discover Africa took my husband's outline of where we were interested in traveling and turned it into a fantastic trip. Diane at Discover Africa recommended the lodges we stayed at in South Africa, Zambia, and Botswana, and all were first rate. Each place had something special about it and each had wonderful safari guides. We had an amazing two weeks and can recommend Discover Africa Safaris without qualification. Thank you for a very meaningful and heart-opening trip!

This is an amazing park, but it has a few downsides. It's very busy, and a lot of the drivers don't show the animals much respect. We also felt very pressured by the masai people to buy over priced stuff. The wildlife is amazing though.

We stayed at Manjaro Tented Camps. This is highly recommended and basically did our whole stay here. Otherwise being close to Kilimanjaro is great, but it's very dry and not very beautiful otherwise. Looots of elephants, which was cool.

About: Kenya
A country of contrasts
Overall rating
5/5

We spent 15 days in Kenya, where 6 of them were on a safari. We had an amazing holdiday. We must admit that 6 days of safari was enough - maybe 5 would be perfect. All the driving is exhausting, I'm not gonna lie. Otherelse we slept in both budget hostels and luxurious hotels, and we really got to see the contrasts in this beautiful country. We stayed outside of Nairobi for the first night, and then went to three different national parks. We then spent a few days in Nairobi, some time i Mombasa, and then a few days at Diani beach. This was perfect for us, and we feel like we got to experience al ot of culture, but also some relaxing in the end. We will probably not go back to Kenya, just because we feel like we have experienced so much there, and there are other places we want to visit, but we will recommend everyone who hasn't been there to go.

Tebla was organized, knowledgeable, caring and efficient.

An Unforgettable and Authentic Experience in the Okavango

Our 4-day mobile safari with Tebla and his crew stands out as one of the most memorable trips we've ever taken, and undoubtedly the best for observing African wildlife. The campsite was comfortable and thoughtfully set up, featuring a cozy tent with a sitting long-drop toilet, a bucket shower, and cloth wash basins filled with warm water. Stepping out of the tent each morning, we were greeted by impalas, springboks, and other animals grazing by the water, about 100 meters away. The silence was broken only by the sounds of birds and the natural wildlife—perfect tranquility.

Our daily routine included an early morning game drive, a midday lunch and siesta, an evening game drive, and a superb dinner prepared on-site by Kumo, a professional chef. The evening meals were a highlight: everything was cooked from scratch, including freshly baked bread from an oven heated with coals placed on top. Each dish in the three-course meals was presented with a sense of occasion before the grand reveal.
Our guide, Tebla, was outstanding—highly organized, attentive to every detail, and dedicated to ensuring our needs were met. His deep knowledge of the Okavango Delta, its wildlife, and a wide range of subjects from history to astronomy was remarkable. Tebla had an uncanny instinct for which waterholes to visit and when, thus making every outing a success.

Surprisingly, we never needed binoculars. Tebla would drive us to spots where animals naturally congregated, and then we’d wait. Elephants, lions, and giraffes paid no mind to our presence and would approach the vehicle, providing incredible photo opportunities. The evening game drives typically concluded with a picnic, featuring light snacks, a glass of wine, and breathtaking views of the African sunset.
This trip was truly authentic and meaningful for us. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine and unforgettable safari experience.
