I had a fantastic seven day trip with Deus from Abantubo
I did a seven day trip with Deus from Abantubo. He was a fantastic guide with great knowledge about all the animals, birds and plants as well as the culture and history of Uganda. Next to this, he was always very happy to assist me and answer all the questions. All together, he was a great company for the trip! The accomodations were also very good with some lodges offering fantastic views next to the big rooms with very comfortable beds and hot showers. Every day was very different which made all the days special and unique. We did walking safaris, biking safari, boat trips and of course the chimp and gorilla trekking. All together it was an amazing experience which I would definitely recommend!
Rudi was attentive and accommodating— thoroughly enjoyed drive/ tour to Spitzkoppe
We had 2 guides because of port entry requirements ( permit needed) but guides worked together and we had a great drive to Spitzkoppe, Rudi was very informative and knowledgeable. Put out a great picnic lunch for us ( and even ordered a special line for my dietary restrictions!) and we enjoyed not only Spitzkoppe and rock art but tour thru Swakpomund and Then John took us by the pink lake and white pelicans and even saw jackals!

MY Self and my friend Connie We did a 6 day trip was from Kigali to Bwindi impenetrable forest and Lake Mburo National Park, Ngorongoro Tours Ltd organised an itinerary which made the most of our short time available offering us a insight into these 2 fascinating counties The highlight - as we expected was the Gorilla trek - and the scenery in the east of the county spectacular The recommended hotels were perfect with welcoming staff - memorable locations - good food and accommodation Our guide was Michael who was excellent.

Our 9 day journey was smooth, fun, and memorable from start to finish.
This 9 Days Uganda Primates Safari gave our group of seven friends great memories and the journey we will never forget in our life. Edris was very efficient and responsive during the planning phase and the 9-day primates itinerary he proposed turned out as expected or even better. We really appreciate Uzuri Uganda Safaris for giving us a well-planned and a wonderful experience.
During the safari, Uganda surprised us with its beauty, wildlife and hospitable people. Kibale National Park was one of our favorite places because the experience of getting close to the chimpanzees there was so intense. Instead of just seeing the chimpanzees for a short time, we spent meaningful time observing their behavior in the forest. Queen Elizabeth National Park was another major highlight. The lion's experiential activity was exciting and informative at the same time, and our guide explained everything with so much passion. The Kazinga Channel boat safari was a relaxing moment of the trip in the middle of so much happening. The gorilla trek truly a dream come true. Ending at Lake Bunyonyi was the perfect balance after days filled with adventure, wildlife, and unforgettable experiences together. All our accommodations over the 9 days were nice mid-range lodges with attentive staff and very comfortable rooms. The food was great. Vincent our driver and guide was professional, polite, trustworthy, a careful driver and he shared his passion for the land and wildlife. We would definitely use Uzuri Safaris again and we give them the highest recommendation.

Exceptional tracker, zero hospitality, think twice before booking
We completed two game drives (morning and afternoon, approximately 3.5 hours each) with guide Leone at Pridelands Private Reserve, Kruger Park.
Leone demonstrated strong technical knowledge of South African wildlife and tracking. From a purely observational standpoint, she performed competently. Unfortunately, the guest experience fell significantly short of expectations. Throughout both drives, Leone made no effort to engage with us as guests, asked no questions, offered no conversation beyond the strictly necessary, and made no attempts to create any sense of hospitality or shared experience. After several failed attempts on our part to initiate dialogue, we also noticed a growing irritability in her responses to questions.
We chose to address this directly with her, which we acknowledge is unusual, but the behaviour was that notable. Her response was that we perhaps did not understand her personality. We would respectfully suggest that if social interaction is a genuine challenge, the role of safari guide requires serious reconsideration, as making guests feel welcome is at least as important as wildlife expertise. We also encourage Matumi Destinations to reflect on whether this profile is appropriate for a guest-facing position.
If your sole priority is animal sightings, Leone may suffice. If you are looking for a memorable, warm, and enriching bush experience, we would recommend requesting a different guide. We hope this review helps future guests make an informed choice.
