Very flexible and considerate of your requirements
5/5

We booked our safari through Akondo Adventures for our honeymoon. From the very beginning they were very flexible in accomodating our trip requirements and accomodations, we were after. Communication was prompt and they were flexible with phone calls, noting the time difference.
Some of the hotels which were booked for us were absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views and the tent escape we had in Serengeti definitely felt like being immersed in nature.
Unfortunely on the trip we fell unwell, however Akondo Adventures adjusted our itinerary and managed accomodations for us on a very last minute basis and we are so grateful for Tassiana and Boris for being so helpful and considerate.
Our safari driver Julius, was incredibly kind, thoughtful and very knowledgeable about the geography and animals.
We would definitely recommend booking through Akondo Adventures!

Happy , professional and knowledgeable operator with a great team behind him
5/5

In June I went on my second Safari with Reflex Africa Expeditions
We were excited about exploring Botswana again with Sox who is extremely knowledgeable about conservation and passionate about the environment .
Botswana is always different each time you visit and had been blessed with lots of rain , this time Sox had to negotiate big holes filled with water and mud and cross waterways with lots of water , he got us through with great driving skills and his beautiful new Toyota Safari vehicle !
We stayed in some beautiful lodges , had a stay at Grasslands Safari Lodge where we spent time with the Sandpeople - so lovely!
We ate scrumptious meals prepared by Maps cooked on a fire in the middle of nowhere!
When we camped Obza a new member of the team prepared our tent with an ensuite , lovely comfy bed for a good nights rest ready for the next days adventure.
I am disabled, always lots of helping hands getting me in and out of the vehicle.
Thank you to the crew Sox, Maps and Obza for all the planning you put in for my comfort and making it possible for me to go on Safari.

Sox is compassionate and knowledgeable about the environment and loves showing off his Botzwana

Another fantastic Safari with Reflect Africa Expedition in June of 2026. This was our second trip to Botswana with Sox our guide and leader of our expedition through the Okavango and Kalahari. After a lot of rain the delta area of the Okavango was difficult to navigate but we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go and see the big five. These conditions made it more exciting as we transversed the wet areas to find leopards, elephants, antelope, hyeanas and all the plains wildlife. We camped out under the stars and went to sleep listening to lions roaring and hyeanas laughing with hippos eating near the streams outside our tent. This was Africa in its finest. We also visited The Kalahari where we encountered a diverse variety of wildlife including large numbers of zebra, elephants and antelope. The landscape was spectacular with the Boeti River home to all these animals. We felt very special as we were treated to delicious meals prepared by Maps and helped around the camp by Obza. Our safari with Sox again lived up to our high expectations and we left with wonderful memories of Botswana and the people in Africa who made this Safari possible

Sedrak’s expert planning of every meticulous detail made our family safari one of a kind.
5/5

The tour Sedrak planned for our family was second to none. He thought of every detail to make our family safari unforgettable. He was available for questions that arose throughout our trip. We loved the progression of our journey from Nairobi to Masa Mara and the exceptional hotels we stayed at along the way. The game drives were excellent. A fabulous trip from start to finish.

Professional and welcoming
5/5

We had a 3 day safari with Balu Travel, our tour guides were Jonathan and Jackson, they were both amazing. Jonathan was very knowledgable about the animals we saw, told us a lot about everything we saw, one note worthy mention was that giraffes do not emit any noise and communicate via eye sight. He also engaged in conversations with us and was very passionate about his culture and teaching us about what is means to be a Masaai man, and how they see the world. He was also very curious about our culture and really enjoyed learning about us. Jackson was the driver during the safari, he was always on point with spotting the wild animals and helping us see them, positioning the vehicle so we can have the beat view, and never rushing us so we can enjoy the moment. A noteworthy moment was that for our second day safari Jackson wore traditional Masaai attire which added a very nice atmosphere to our safari, he was as well very enthusiastic about sharing his culture and learning about us. All in all, he safari was amazing, I honestly think we got the best tour guides in the industry, their friendliness and professionalism allowed us to not only see all the animals we wanted, but also learn so much about their culture and customs. Thank you very much, I recommend this company for really good value for money and amazing tour guides.

The best decision we could have made.
5/5

To give a little bit of context, we are a couple and, for us, doing this trip was a big financial effort. Because of that, we looked at so many different options and agencies before making our decision. And precisely for that reason, I think it is important to leave this review: we also had our doubts at first. When you are spending a significant amount of money on a trip, it is completely understandable to be a little nervous about who you are putting your trust in.

Everything was perfect.

The communication, closeness and transparency that María gave us from the very first minute was what made us choose this agency, and in the end we got so much more than we expected. We did the whole trip completely on our own, with a private guide accompanying us throughout, and we are certain that we paid much less than people who were travelling in groups.

María and Lawrence went above and beyond to make sure we could do all the activities we wanted, despite having limited time and a limited budget. It is also worth mentioning that we organised everything only three months in advance.

All the hotels we stayed at were incredible, with very good facilities, great breakfasts, lunches, dinners… The route and all the activities we did were fantastic, especially the chimpanzee habituation experience and gorilla tracking.

We also felt very well looked after whenever any issue came up. For example, our luggage arrived late and we did not have to deal with anything ourselves: the agency arranged for it to be brought to the national park where we were staying. And it was not the airline who did it, but the agency itself.

I know this may sound like just another review saying that everything was amazing, but honestly, if you are reading this because you are having doubts, don't hesitate anymore. We had those same doubts, and after experiencing the trip, we would have absolutely no hesitation in choosing them again. The agency is simply unbeatable and, honestly, this trip has changed our lives.

Another thing that made this experience so special for us was our guide, Olela Andrew. We spent every day of the trip with him and it was an absolute pleasure to share this experience with him. His knowledge, kindness, generosity and sense of humour meant that, rather than just being our guide, he became a friend to us.

I think it is important, when you travel to a country so different from your own, to get to know the reality of the people who live there and their culture. We feel that we had that opportunity, largely thanks to Andrew.

María, Lawrence and Andrew are three people we will always be grateful to. And if we return to Uganda (which we will certainly try our very best to do!), there is absolutely no doubt that we would want to do it with them again.

To sum up, I would highlight three things:

Uganda has been an absolutely spectacular, dynamic and surprising destination, and it offers so much more than the more traditional safari destinations.

The agency offers a level of service, support, personalisation and exclusivity that is practically impossible to find elsewhere at the same price.

The people who make it all possible are the ones who will truly make this more than just a trip, turning it into an experience you will never forget.

Thank you so much for everything and, from the bottom of our hearts, we hope we have the chance to see you again.

Treated like a VIP and everything a safari should offer
5/5

Third time using Go Touchdown for safaris, they are everything they say and more. The US based staff are caring and listen, then answer everything. The pre trip communication is stellar.
When you get to South Africa, they have everything covered, whether you need a night to recover before starting on your adventure, or getting right to it, you are in amazing hands.
The safari drives take you to all areas of their properties while working to see the wide range of animals on the property. After the drives the meals are tasty and satisfying.
Rooms are always clean and prepared for you when you get back. Go Touchdown males sure that everything is seamless.

Highly recommend them for your investment and adventure.

Perfect Safari from Start to Finish
5/5

We had such an amazing safari and honestly, everything was perfect! We saw so many animals and had a really great time.

Our guide and driver were honestly the nicest people and made the whole experience even better. They were so friendly, welcoming and always made sure we were okay and had everything we needed. They were always on time, really attentive and we felt safe with them the whole time. You could tell that they really cared about us having a good experience. Our guide was also very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting things about the animals.

Everything went exactly as planned and the organisation was really good. The food was great, the hotel was nice and everyone there was super friendly and welcoming as well.

We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and driver and would definitely recommend this safari! Thank you so much for everything!

Unforgettable 8-Day Private Kenya Wildlife Safari with an Outstanding Team
5/5

I just returned from an incredible 8-day private tour of Kenya with Green Places Adventures, visiting Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli. Going into this, I picked them without any prior references and didn't know quite what to expect, but I got extremely lucky—these guys are awesome!

From the start, my initial interactions with Elijah were excellent. He met me on both my first and last days and was extremely friendly, professional, attentive, and very easy to work with.

My tour guide, Jaktone, was exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced. He always managed to have me in the right spots at the right times, and thanks to his expertise in positioning the vehicle, I captured beautiful sunrise and sunset photos.

Accommodations & Advice:
I stayed at the Sopa lodges in Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli. Overall, they were all comfortable with excellent food and impeccable, friendly service from the staff. Sopa Nakuru stood out as an awesome, newer property with amazing views of the lake.

My only specific recommendation is to consider a different property in Masai Mara. While Sopa Lodge Mara was clean, comfortable, and did the job, the rooms and bathrooms felt very old and tired. If possible, I'd also recommend picking a property inside the park.

That said, if you are doing all-day game drives, accommodation priority really depends on your travel style:

Packed Itinerary: If you are out on full-day drives, you come back late and tired, eat dinner, shower, sleep, and repeat. In that case, spending top dollar on luxury lodging isn't necessary because you won't be at the property long enough to enjoy it. Sopa Lodges were more than adequate for this.

Relaxed Pace: If you prefer building in downtime—like doing only a morning or evening drive and spending half the day relaxing at the resort—then investing more in your accommodation makes sense.

I was there primarily for the wildlife, and Green Places Adventures delivered a seamless, top-notch experience. I highly recommend them!
