Great Adventure
The safari was a real adventure and truly beautiful. We saw many animals and experienced so much along the way. Teddy guided us through the safari wonderfully and shared many interesting facts about the animals.
He drove us safely over rough roads and through all kinds of terrain, and we always felt comfortable and secure. The tour was very well organized, and lunch packages were also provided during the journey.
The camps and hotels were excellent, and the food in both the camps and hotels was very good. Throughout the trip we felt very safe and had an amazing time.
We can warmly recommend this safari experience to anyone.

Budget Safari but still a great experience
This was a budget trip, sleeping in canvas tents and a room with comfy bed one night. Only the one place had a warm shower but that did not worry us at all. Food was basic but delicious and ample. The 4x4 vehicle was comfortable considering road conditions with a pop up roof. Our driver was excellent in difficult road conditions and we saw everything, big five, hyenas and lions feeding and much more.

I’d highly recommend Msangai! Great company, all around.
I first reached out to Msangai because of the Claire and Peter TikToks, and since this was my first safari, I contacted a few companies just to compare. Msangai immediately stood out -they were the first to respond, professional, and were super helpful from the very beginning. Zee answered all my questions (and there were a lot, especially about flights!) and made the whole planning process easy and reassuring.
When we arrived, Erick met us at the airport for a very early morning 1am airport pickup, which we really appreciated.
Our guide, James, was awesome - always on time, super knowledgeable, really friendly, and endlessly patient with the million questions my brother asked every day. He made sure we saw everything we wanted and drove safely the entire time. His spotting skills were impressive too - he’d point things out long before anyone else saw them.
The accommodations were great across the board, but we especially loved Sound of Silence and Sero Tented Camp. Both had excellent service, beautiful rooms, and delicious food. Also, the hot lunches Msangai arranged were such a nice touch—while other groups were having basic sandwiches, we were enjoying hot meals!
Overall, we had a fantastic time, and I’d highly recommend Msangai! Thank you to the Msangai team for a great experience!

Best trip in Ethiopia

Communication was always great. Our guide always gave very clear and precise information about the schedule. He adapted to our pace and made sure everyone felt comfortable. The service was excellent and it was great value for money. We also trusted him because he knew the camps and the area very well. Everything was reliable, well organized and we had no problems at all. A big thank you for this wonderful adventure with many new experiences – I’m very grateful to have done this journey with Teddy.

A pleasant and blessed trip that I got to know so many nice people and saw many animals
I was nervous before the trip because I was alone as female with limited English and it was my first time to Africa.
But it eventually it was a pleasant trip.Picking up in the airport and sending to hotel after safari ensured me the sense of security.
The food were yummy and I did not have food anxiety. The trip mates from different countries were all very kind and considerate. There were no hidden charge, fee was clear and accurate. The most lucky part for me was that we did not shift the guide and car, and almost team members.All the way the guide driver Simon was very helpful and gentle.He drove well and knew how to track the animals,Kept telling us about those animals. It was a wonderful trip.

Great value experience
8-day, 7-night safari during the 2026 calving season. The Toyota Land Cruiser was in excellent condition, with comfortable cushioned seats, unlimited bottled water and drinks, and we opted for a hot lunch – every meal was delicious. Most fortunately, our guide was Radar Joseph, once named the best guide by a Tanzanian travel guide! He was sincere, meticulous, and cheerful, possessing extensive wildlife knowledge and radar-like search abilities, and an intimate knowledge of Tanzania's national parks. I once asked Joseph, "How do you know every road in the vast Serengeti?" He replied, "Reference points + 13 years of experience." My teammates love birdwatching, and Joseph possessed incredibly rich bird knowledge. When we apologized to Joseph for the frequent stops for bird photography, he always said, "Hakuna matata – that's what you came for!" Joseph was exceptionally skilled at tracking animals. In the Gol Koppies area of southeastern Serengeti, a cheetah mother with her two cubs jumped onto our SUV! The vast Serengeti plains, only one SUV, three cheetahs! This was a highlight of our Tanzanian Safari! Besides his extensive professional knowledge, Joseph also paid exceptional attention to detail. For example, he carefully covered our suitcases with cotton sheets; thoughtfully parked the best spots for us; and after our Serengeti game drive, our car was always spotless the next day, even though it was covered in mud. When there was no water to wash at the campsite, he wiped it clean with cloths. He even thoughtfully gave the extra beef and other hot food from lunch to the sanitation workers. Splendid vacations put together the most incredible trip for us! Our Safari guide James picked us up at the Airport hotel and immediately began building rapport making us feel comfortable and ready to enjoy our first safari under his guidance. From his excellent driving to knowledge about animals and true desire to make sure we had the most incredible experience, we couldn’t have asked for more! All of the accommodations in which we stayed exceeded our expectations and the hospitality level was so high with everyone being so friendly and asking what they could do to make our stay most enjoyable. We will certainly be recommending James, our tour director Maryann and splendid vacations, to our friends and family.

Nicholas is a true professional
My wife and I love to travel and we diligently research travel options. We narrowed the east Africa tour companies to five, then interviewed three and Nicholas stood head and shoulders above the rest. We were mainly interested in primates so we decided Uganda had more to offer than Rwanda. We did not want a canned tour. Nicholas arranged, small airplane travel to Bwindi then our guide transported us to Queen Elizabeth Park for a river Safari and then finally Kibale for chimpanzee trekking. Initially we were a little concerned about safety, but the people of Uganda are so kind. Especially the men are quick to laugh. Our guide Justus had family from the area so he easily spoke with everyone along the trip and we felt very comfortable. We also decided to visit Tanzania where wildebeest and zebras were birthing their calves for the beginning of the great circular migration. Nicholas was able to coordinate all of the small plane travel within Uganda as well as the international plane travel to Tanzania. There were some last-minute flight changes, as usual, and Nicholas was always available and he contacted us during each transition to make sure everything went smoothly. The lodges he recommended were excellent. Nicholas is a true professional much like I remember travel agents in the United States in the 1900s. You will not be disappointed.
