We had an amazing experience
I’ve booked a private safari with a group of 6 people. The communication was perfect because it was on Whatsapp, so if i would change anything or had questions, they quickly responsed. The driver (Enock) was on time everyday and was very kind. He knows a lot about the parks, animals and Tanzania. He also has a good sense of humor! The parks were all different and worth it. If Enock saw an animal, he picked the perfect spot for the pictures. The lodges we stayed at our trip are all amazing, we were speechless when we saw that. The only thing we didn’t like so much was the food. That was because it was mostly rice with chicken and vegetables with sauce. The taste was good, but not so variated. Overall we had an amazing experience and i would absolutely recommend Serengeti African Tours!!

Excellent
Safari was fantastic and our guide, Charles, was excellent. He worked hard to ensure we saw all the top 10 of the animals and much more besides. Mostly up close, including a family of Lions resting under a tree by the roadside.
I would definitely recommend Suricata Safaris to anyone considering a safari to Tanzania.

A professional and reliable tour operator that made our safari unforgettable, very well organized.
Our safari with Suricata Safaris was absolutely amazing and exceeded all our expectations. Everything was very well organized from the beginning, communication was easy and reliable, and the whole trip went smoothly. Our guide, Chavas, was professional, friendly, and did everything he could to make sure we had the best possible experience. We saw so many animals (áll of the Big 10) and incredible landscapes, and every day was unforgettable. The service, the hotels was excellent and we felt that the safari was great value for money. The night in the Bush Camp was a special experience. We would definitely recommend Suricata Safaris to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

The safari experience was amazing! We saw many animals and took beautiful photos. The tour guide Damian was very nice and we had a good time with him.

The birthday adventure of a lifetime with Amshar Serengeti
My mother had always dreamed of going on safari, so for her 80th birthday we finally made it happen. It was the adventure of a lifetime. Amshar Serengeti and our guide Nassary made it so special for her (and for us).
Even before we left, Leoni at Amshar made us feel comfortable and confident. He emailed us a copy of their license to assure my mom they were a legitimate operation, and when we had trouble finding flights for our initial dates he shifted our entire reservation to make it work. Even though we arrived late at night, Leoni met us as we were dropped off at our hotel at 10:30pm to finalize arrangements and make sure we were squared away.
Nassary picked us up in the morning for five days of safari in Tarangire, the Serengeti (two days), Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. He made it clear from the beginning that he would follow our lead if we had specific things we wanted to do, but was just as happy to use his expertise to craft an exceptional safari experience for us. And he did—he found us unforgettable animal encounters every day, including many lions (males, females, and cubs), cheetahs, rhinos, elephants, rare birds, monkeys, and dozens of very active hippos for my hippo-loving mom. Every day we thought we had seen it all, but then something new and spectacular would turn up the day after. Nassary was able to identify every species we saw (even the trees!) and shared interesting facts about each one—in fact, he kept insisting we ask him more questions! We were comfortable and secure at all times, and when the Land Rover developed a small mechanical issue Nassary hopped out and fixed it in no time. At the tented camp we stayed at he arranged a birthday celebration with singing and cake for my mom (who he called "Birthday Girl" all week), and she hasn't stopped talking about it since.
Our safari was in the low to moderate price range, but we never would have known it. The animals don't know how much you paid, and every place we stayed was luxurious, impeccably clean, and filled with joyful, attentive staff. The food was consistently very good and plentiful, with omelets to order every morning (even in the middle of the Serengeti). We saw sunset over the Serengeti hills from our porch, lions close enough to touch, the great bowl of Ngorongoro Crater spread out below us, and hundreds and hundreds of animals. Our safari exceeded our expectations in every way, and we will carry the memories in our heart always. Asante sana, Amshar Serengeti!

Amazing safari experience
We had an absolutely wonderful 7 nights safari experience from start to finish. Everything was very well organized, and we felt that we were in excellent hands throughout the entire trip. Our guide Abdul was highly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He was always happy to answer our questions and made sure we had the best possible experience. His knowledge of the wildlife and the area really added something special to the safari. Our photographer Sige was also fantastic. He was very professional and managed to capture amazing photos of our safari. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, and the food was delicious. Everything worked smoothly. Our guide and photographer continued to help us even after the safari had officially ended. When our flight was cancelled and we found ourselves in a difficult situation, they went out of their way to help us and make sure everything was sorted out. We can warmly recommend Meijo safaris to anyone looking for a well-organized, professional, and personal experience. We had an unforgettable time and are grateful to the whole team!

Best safari experience as a family
Our safari with Makasa was, without a doubt, the best safari of our lives — and this was already our third safari.
What makes Makasa so special is the experience, knowledge and passion behind every detail. You can feel that their guides are exceptionally well trained and have years of experience in the bush. They have an incredible understanding of wildlife and nature and, above all, operate with genuine respect for both.
One thing that stood out to us again and again was their approach to wildlife encounters. While other vehicles sometimes rushed after the next “sensation”, our guides were confident enough to wait. They knew when patience would create the better experience — and very often it did. We would sometimes wait while others had already moved on, only to end up having a much more intimate and unforgettable encounter afterwards. That kind of judgement comes from experience. It is about understanding the animals rather than simply following the crowd.
Their driving skills also deserve a special mention. On roads like these, having a highly experienced and well-trained driver makes a huge difference — not only for comfort, but also for safety.
The same level of experience can be seen in the planning of the entire safari, especially when travelling with children. Makasa understands better than anyone we have experienced what families actually need. There was never a feeling of stress or constantly having to move from one place to the next. Everything was thoughtfully planned so that our children could enjoy the safari while we adults could have the very best experience as well.
We were equally impressed by the selection of the lodges and camps. They were authentic, beautifully located and carefully chosen, with a genuine awareness of the communities and social projects that can benefit from the money spent there. This is another detail that makes Makasa different.
Kimbilio is probably the perfect example. Makasa created a camp in one of the most magical places in the Serengeti. You can feel in every detail why they chose this particular location and why they built the camp there. It takes experience and passion to deliberately choose a region with fewer visitors rather than simply following where everyone else is going. The result is a completely different safari experience — more private, more authentic and much more connected to the wilderness.
And this is ultimately what Makasa has taught me about luxury on safari.
True luxury is not staying in a five-star luxury lodge every night. It is not changing camps every day. And it is not trying to see everything as quickly as possible.
True luxury is having the time to stay somewhere long enough to truly experience it. It is having a reliable, knowledgeable guide who knows when to move on and, perhaps even more importantly, when to wait. It is having the freedom to slow down and enjoy the moment rather than constantly chasing the next highlight.
And true luxury is the human connection: being genuinely welcomed and, at the end of your stay, being hugged goodbye by the entire lodge team because they have genuinely grown fond of you — not simply because they feel they have to say goodbye.
That is what Makasa showed me.
Their safari is not about luxury for the sake of luxury. It is about experience, authenticity, respect, time, passion and genuine human connection.
After three safaris, I can honestly say: **this was the best safari of our lives.**
We would choose Makasa again without hesitation.
