An unforgettable birthday safari with Rioba
5/5

We booked a one-day safari from Zanzibar to Tarangire with Rioba Safaris as a family of four (two adults and two children) to celebrate my 40th birthday, and the whole experience was absolutely fantastic.

From the moment we booked, Joseph took care of every detail and his communication was excellent. He kept in touch via WhatsApp before the trip, checked that we'd arrived safely in Zanzibar, reminded us of our collection time and made sure we always knew exactly what was happening. Everything was incredibly well organised, which made such a difference when fitting a safari into just one day.

When we arrived in Arusha, I was greeted with a huge bouquet of flowers for my birthday, which was such a lovely and unexpected touch. Then at lunch, they surprised me again with a gorgeous birthday cake! The lunch itself was also delicious and far exceeded what we had expected from a safari lunch.

Our driver and guide, David, was brilliant. He was friendly, knowledgeable and particularly great with our very inquisitive eight-year-old, patiently answering all of her questions. He also worked incredibly hard to make sure we saw as much wildlife as possible in the relatively short time we had in Tarangire.

And we saw so much! Zebras and wildebeest coming down to the watering hole, huge numbers of elephants including lots of babies, giraffes, sleeping lions, warthogs, monkeys, ostriches and more. Seeing so many elephants in particular was incredible.
Our only regret is that we didn't have longer! The day gave us a real taste for safari and we're already hoping to come back for a longer trip in the future. When we do, Rioba will absolutely be the first people we contact to help us plan it.

Thank you to Joseph, David and the whole Rioba team for making my 40th birthday safari such a special and unforgettable experience.

Great adventure
5/5

It was a wonderful safari experience. Our guide Leroy was amazing, daring, adventurous and yet puncture, professional. Everyday a different excitement.
From Masai Masa, to the crescent island was great. A lot of wildlife.
We had 4/5 big 5 with uncountable zebras/ giraffes.
One of the downside: maybe the crescent island trip price can be included into the tour price.

Thank you for the wonderful memories
5/5

I had such a fantastic experience with Serengeti Smile and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

A huge thank you to Godian who helped me organise the trip over several months. He was incredible. Very professional, patient and helpful throughout, even when I wasn’t sure whether I would be able to travel. He helped create the perfect itinerary that matched my budget, expectations and plans.

The safari itself was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My guide, Saturo, was fantastic! So knowledgeable, patient, incredibly easy to be around and always willing to do his best to make sure I had the experience I wanted. Thanks to him I saw my first river crossing within just two and a half hours of arriving in the Northern Serengeti and I ended up seeing two crossings in total. I honestly saw everything I had hoped for and much more.

The Serengeti Classic View Migration Camp where I stayed for two nights was wonderful, with absolutely incredible staff.

I came home with some of my most special travel memories and am genuinely so happy I chose Serengeti Smile. I would absolutely recommend them.

Magical experience in Lalibela
5/5

This was an incredible trip! We did a full multiday tour of Lalibela with them! Greenery everywhere, beautiful medieval rock hewn churches, culture, lovely activities and a wonderful guide (Muluye). We learned so much about the local culture, history and the people of Lalibela. Excellent Service, value for money and reliable guides who will very patiently take you on an incredible journey, If you go during the annual Ashendiye festival in August you might experience the magic of a local festival as well.

Unforgettable animal experience for the family
5/5

We love the safari trip. Our tour guide Mike is a very responsible and experienced tour guide. The lodges arranged by Unveiled Tanzania Safaris are very good. I compared the lodge condition with those of my friend who also went to Tanzania safari last October. Ours are far better than theirs with less the total cost. The nakependa luxury camp was amazing, if it weren't us wanting to go to the north for one night, we would have two nights there. I am personally a very picky person on lodge conditions and I found the places were all great in sanitary conditions and services, which lays the foundation of a good mood in safari trip.
I have been to many places of the world and this safari trip is now ranking No.1 in my heart because it is so unique. It is not like in other trips where you just go to a place and see the view/attaction. You are really "in" the nature and become a part of the wild Africa, which echos with your memory of childhood documentary films.
Thanks to Mike's experience, we got to see many rare and uncommon things like a big group of cheetahs (1 mother + 5 kids), hyenas hunting baby baffalo, close-view of leopard and rhinos, lions feeding, giraffes drinking water, big migrations &.... Really unforgettable experience for our family (especially our daughter).

Great experience and service
5/5

We recently completed a 5‑day trip to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha with Axis Africa Expedition and Safaris, and it was an excellent experience.

From the very beginning, Ms. Tabitha was extremely helpful in arranging our booking, ensuring everything was smooth and well‑organized.

During the safari, our guide Mr. James was outstanding — enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated to making sure we saw the best of the wildlife. His energy and passion truly elevated our trip.

We are very happy with the services provided and would highly recommend Axis Africa to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.

A friendly, professional local safari operator that goes above and beyond

An incredible safari with Serengeti Smile!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Serengeti Smile and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

From the very beginning, Piniel, our point of contact, was fantastic. He took the time to understand exactly what we wanted from our safari and tailored the entire experience around our wishes. He was incredibly flexible, prepared multiple quotes for us, responded to all of our questions (at all hours!), and was always friendly and helpful. We really felt that he cared about making our safari perfect rather than simply selling us a package.

And then there was our driver, Davis, who was simply amazing. He was extremely friendly, polite and professional throughout the entire safari. His knowledge of the parks and, most importantly, his ability to spot animals was incredible. Thanks to Davis, we managed to see virtually everything we had hoped for — including some absolutely unforgettable encounters with wildlife from incredibly close distances.

The whole experience exceeded our expectations. From the planning with Piniel to the actual safari with Davis, everything was handled professionally and with a genuine personal touch.

We are so happy that we chose a local Tanzanian company, and we would wholeheartedly recommend Serengeti Smile to other travellers looking for an unforgettable safari experience.

Thank you Piniel and Davis for an incredible trip and memories that we will never forget!

Serendipitous adventure with unexpected encounter and unforgettable memory
5/5

The adventure is fantastic. Our trip includes 6 days of safari and 3 days in Arusha (for city, Materuni Waterfalls, Serval wildlife). We are a family of three and Unveiled Tanzania Safaris gave us a really good discount on the kid. The tour guide Mike is really experienced, thoughtful and kind. Some of the unique encounters includes:
1. A group of 6 cheetahs. On our way to north Serengeti we did a game drive in the morning, Mike managed to found a group of cheetahs (1 mother and 5 kids), which is extremely uncommon given the difficulty of bringing up that many kids. We even got to see them pooping and digging for small animals. Very interesting.
2. Hyenas hunting baby buffalo. In the game drive at NgoroNgoro Crater, we encountered a huge group of buffalos, where two hyenas were hunting a baby buffalo, whose mother tried to protect, but had to give up and moan by side with another hyena coming. We managed to witness and filmed the whole process, which only lasts several minutes. Mike told us it is extremely rare to see because hyenas ususally do not perform active hunting and the hunting would usually happen in the night or very early morning.
3. Elephants & giraffes drinking water. In Tarangire National Park (aka elephant paradise), we saw a huge group (>20) of elephants drinking, playing and splashing in the water. It was so funny! Also, later the giraffes came to drink in the same spot, with front legs spreading, it was cute and amusing.
Thanks to Mike's rich experience (and a little courage), we got to have all the amazing enounters.
