Professional, ambitious and energetic
Choosing a tour operator is a risky business. You pay thousands of dollars in advance and you will experience the service only afterwards.

After having followed an itinerary of 15 nights and 16 days in Ethiopia I am more than grateful to Maereg and his team, that I had a truly great, a sort of a once-in-a-lifetime tour. Everything worked perfectly. There wasn't any issue, that I felt sorry of.
To be honest: I fell in love with Ethiopia.
I had s solo safari to Bale mountains, Omo Valley tribes, Gondar and Lalibela. All the arrangements were better than expected: In Addis Abeba I was welcomed by the efficient "liaison officer" Habtu. In my safari journey driver BK was just brilliant, Toyota Landcruiser wonderful, accommodation exceeding all the expectations, meals great and Maereg kept on following all my moves daily.
I felt that I was in safe hands all the time.
Ethiopia is an amazing country. Ethiopians are incredibly kind and nice. I wish I could have stayed longer. But decided already to return.
I can warmly recommend Maereg and his mates to any type of traveller. His team is professional, energetic and ambitious and do not leave even the slightest detail unchecked. They do want to introduce and show their country to you, and they do it with love!❤️

Absolutely exceeded our expectations, couldn't recommend more
I went with my dad on the 8 day Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro climb with Kiliclimb, and Moses and his team put together an absolutely incredible trip! Everything was flawless from start to finish, from the organization and service to the guides, crew, and overall experience.
Our guides (Baraka and Godson) were the best and genuinely so kind and caring, checking in constantly and even doing daily wellness checks. They provided daily briefings and always clearly communicated what was ahead. What stood out to me even more was hearing the guides talk about how great Moses is and how much they enjoy working for him. That says a lot about the company and, in my opinion, really matters when choosing an outfitter!
The food was spectacular the entire trip and clearly planned with altitude in mind. We had the best soup every day, plus amazing fish, chicken, beef, and yes, even pizza! The whole team was remarkable and so tuned into our needs, including setting up a private bathroom tent, which was a huge comfort.
Moses went above and beyond personally as well. Before the trip, he reviewed my gear and flagged that I did not have warm enough layers for summit day, then loaned me a jacket and pants so I was properly prepared. He also arranged transportation to and from the airport, making it truly feel like a full package experience.
I could not have asked for a better Kilimanjaro climb, and I highly, highly recommend Kiliclimb to anyone considering the mountain!

I loved my trips thanks to my Guide Brighton and the tour operators who were checking in with me all the time during the trip. I honestly cannot recommend them enough it’s been a real pleasure and the entire team is super welcoming positive and easy going. Imara Africa is hands down the best tour operator in Kenya. I spent more than a week going back and forth with about 10 operators and researching and finally settled with Imara. Best quality price.
The service has been excellent from the beginning to the end. All of Imara's excursion are customizable, adding and removing activities, excursions, upgrading hotels, cars,etc.
No hidden fees!!! and the communication was great.
On top of it, the team was very accommodating. They picked us up at the airport at 5am, so we wouldn't wait extra time until 7. The entire team showed up to welcome us and provided us with a gift bag :-) which was very considerate.
Our driver, Edward was AMaZING. he went above and beyond to make sure that we spot all the animals. He is very knowledgeable of the area and all the wild life.
Will definitely use Imara again and would recommend 1000%

i cant say any negative about the trip! we did 5 nights, 6 days Safari in Taragire, nduto, serangeti, ngorongoro crater and lake manyara. We saw all Big 5 and your Guide Innocent was really friendly and helpfully! we had a great time! all Accommodations was sober, perfect and really good personal!

Amazing Safari Experience
We booked a 10-day Kenya safari with Imara, and it turned out to be one of the best travel decisions we’ve ever made.
Our itinerary covered Amboseli National Park, Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Giraffe Centre, Maasai Mara, and even included a visit to a Maasai village. From start to finish, Imara handled everything seamlessly—accommodation, food, park entry fees, and logistics were all taken care of with zero errors or last-minute surprises.
We had reached out to multiple tour operators before finalizing our trip, and Imara offered the most competitive pricing with complete transparency. There were absolutely no hidden costs, which gave us a lot of confidence. A special mention to Wendy, who was incredibly responsive, patient, and accommodating. She answered all our queries promptly and incorporated multiple itinerary changes until we were fully satisfied before confirming the booking.
At the start of the trip, the Imara team personally met us at our hotel and gave us a detailed briefing about the itinerary, game drives, and what to expect—this set a very professional and reassuring tone. After we made the advance payment, they took a couple of days to complete all bookings and shared the vouchers as promised. Everything was smooth and well-organized.
Now, coming to our guide—Anthony. Wow. He was simply brilliant. A joyful, warm, and extremely knowledgeable person, Anthony made the safari truly unforgettable. He kept us engaged throughout the journey with fascinating stories and detailed explanations about the animals and the parks.
On the very first day, he confidently promised that we would see the Big 5 in Maasai Mara —and incredibly, we spotted all of them on the first day itself! Not only that, we also saw the Ugly 5, and thanks to Anthony’s strong network with other guides, we were able to spot almost all animals in the park.
Anthony has an exceptional understanding of the parks and animal behavior. All we had to do was trust his instincts—whether it was starting very early in the morning, going for full-day game drives, or splitting the drives into two sessions. He also planned the drives based on the animals we wanted to see, which made the experience even more personalized. Whenever we requested stops for photography or animal sightings, he was more than happy to oblige. His driving was safe, smooth, and very professional.
Overall, this safari exceeded all our expectations. Imara delivers exactly what they promise—and more. I would highly recommend Imara to anyone planning a safari in Kenya. You’ll be in excellent hands.
