We were able to visit all three of Africa's most iconic safari destinations: Kenya's Masai Mara, Tanzania's Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. Plus, we enjoyed the freedom and indulgence that only a private tour can offer.
On the safari, we were able to see all of the Big 5, and we were able to see scenes I'd only seen in picture books and videos, such as the tense poses of cheetahs before a hunt, hippos living in groups, and crocodiles lurking in the water.
Meeting the Masai people in person and hearing about their culture and lifestyle was also very memorable. It felt more like an experience of experiencing human life than sightseeing.
The travel distances were by no means short, but the driver was always careful and safe every day, including from Nairobi to Kilimanjaro Airport, so I never felt any physical or mental discomfort.

This safari was planned to the smallest detail! It was truly amazing, from the airport to seeing the big five. The camp was newly opened and the staff was amazing. We stayed over Christmas and they really put an effort in to make it feel festive.

Amazing trip to Maasai Mara!
We just finished our trip to Maasai Mara organized by Mentors Africa Safaris…and, wow, it was incredible! The organization, kindness and professionalism leading up to the trip was beyond excellent!
We were picked up from our hotel in Nairobi and made the long voyage to Maasai Mara. Moses, our amazing guide, filled the time with interesting facts about the areas we passed as well as fielded our kids’ million questions!
Inside the reserve his guidance was the absolute best. He knew the best routes to try and was always communicating with other guides to help us see an amazing variety of animals. He is so knowledgeable about the park and the animals - we learned so much. Our family had the best time thanks to Moses and Mentors Africa Safaris. We can’t wait to come back!
