Amazing Safari experience
just finished an excellent 5 day safari with suricata. Our guides Melita and Cheddy did an outstanding job, showing and explaining all about the dozens of different animals we saw. Accomodation, particularly at Suricata Boma Lodge, was amazing. Every single staff interaction was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Plenty of delicious food also for vegetarians. Overall easy 10/10.

We, Angie and Ben, had the privilege of experiencing an unforgettable safari in Tanzania with Wildfinder – two magical days in the breathtaking Serengeti and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.
From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized. The flight from Zanzibar to Tanzania, the overnight stay, the entire planning – everything ran smoothly and professionally. We were able to completely relax and simply enjoy the adventure.
And then those moments… standing face to face with a lion, watching elephants roam freely in the wild – pure goosebumps. We were incredibly fortunate to see all of the Big Five, something we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
Our guide Daniel was absolutely outstanding. He spoke excellent German, was passionate about his work, and you could feel in every second how much he truly loves what he does. His enthusiasm was contagious and made this safari even more special.
During the safari, there were always plenty of drinks available, which was invaluable in the heat. The only small suggestion for improvement: a pair of binoculars should always be included on board – that would make the experience even more intense.
Overall, what remains most is gratitude. Gratitude for these powerful moments, for being so close to nature, and for such a perfectly organized journey.

This safari was the best money we spent in South Africa. We did a two night stay that included four guided tours. Our guide Victor was incredibly knowledgeable and talented. The lodge itself was serene and relaxing. It was a perfect vacation.

Guide and driver, Paulo was an incredible person even without the tour.
His knowledge of the area and of course the animals was amazing. He was personable and funny.
The company owner and main communicator was James. We bombarded him with questions for almost a year leading up to the trip and he didn’t flinch once. Even though we didn’t meet him we felt we knew him.
Worth every penny and more. Accommodations were terrific and food much better than we thought we would get.

A week where dreams come true
Thank you, Solomon!!! Our trip was so perfect because of him! He has amazing eyes and skills—we saw everything we wanted to see in five days. After entering the Serengeti, we kept seeing cheetahs and leopards, constantly surprised by what we saw. Sometimes we were the first to see something, and then other vehicles would rush to catch up. The last two days in Ndutu were definitely the best; we saw leopards, cheetahs, or lions five, six, seven, or eight times a day. This wasn't just because the biodiversity there is so rich, but also because we had a great guide. I'm so grateful to Solomon—his enthusiasm, professionalism, and meticulousness! On the third day, it rained heavily, and we drove for a very long time on very difficult roads without getting stuck, even helping many people. And most importantly, when he saw cheetahs walking and drove close to them, luck struck! We witnessed a hunt!! We saw everything we wanted to see in those five days. Poor follow up and customer service
We traveled to Africa this fall and booked a portion of our trip through Classic Journeys Africa. Unfortunately, due to unexpected civil unrest in neighboring Tanzania , our itinerary had to be cut short for safety reasons.
I want to begin by saying that the part of the trip we were able to complete was truly wonderful. The accommodations, guides, and experiences arranged by the company were excellent, and during the trip itself everything was handled professionally.
However, the experience since returning home has been extremely disappointing.
Because significant portions of our trip were canceled, we were assured that refunds would be issued for the unused services. Since then, communication has been inconsistent and largely unresponsive despite multiple follow-ups over several months. While we have received repeated acknowledgments that refunds are owed, no reimbursement has been received to date.
We fully understand that unforeseen events such as political instability can complicate travel logistics, and we approached this situation with patience and understanding. What has been frustrating is not the disruption itself, but the lack of follow-through and clear communication afterward.
Based on our on-the-ground experience, this company is capable of delivering an excellent travel experience. However, their post-trip customer service and handling of financial commitments have fallen far short of expectations.
Future travelers may want to ensure refund policies and communication expectations are clearly documented before booking.
We sincerely hope this matter will still be resolved.
