Review about Kazinga Tours by Merv Colton
5/5

They were very flexible in allowing me to work in some parts to the schedule, their driver/guide was very knowledgeable, and could not do enough for us. We had 2 people on the tour, both photographers, and they did everything that we requested, even the 5am starts!

About: Uganda
Uganda - the undiscovered beauty

We operate together with the inhabitants of a small village north of Mityana a humanitarian project in Uganda to improve their lives sustainably. In 2009, we have for the first time together with our children (teenagers) Uganda. An absolutely worth experiencing country. In Kampala, as in many cities of other developing countries to feel optimism. In the country however, the time has stopped and the people live largely in poverty and subsistence agriculture. It is striking that all the automotive business of Indians and Pakistanis can be controlled. The chinese start the exploitation of large oil deposits seen in the northwest. therefore, the roads built in the resource-rich regions very well. European hotels are found only in large cities. But who can get along without electricity and warm water does not necessarily need to take a shower, can also opt for an African hotel.

Wonderful encounter with nature
Overall rating

This was my very first time in an African Safari and I was really hoping to see elephants and giraffes among others. As we entered the park, just a few meters from the gate, we were welcomed by a beautiful family of elephants. They really came in close to us to the point that we could almost touche them (a big no no).
The scenery was wonderful with green grass and trees and small streams and creeks running across some of the roads.
Our guide was incredible patient with us as we took our time to take pictures and video of everything that moved.

A magical place. If you don't get a huge adrenaline rush here, there is something wrong with you.

I have rated this very highly however the only wildlife we saw were the Gorillas. We trekked as a group of 8, ages between 22 and 65, and we call made it the 3 hours to get to see the Gorillas. The rangers and porters were very professional, and took great care of us, and even better care of the Gorillas which I was pleased to see.

Lake Mburo, closest park to see wildlife near Kampala the Capital of Uganda
Overall rating
5/5

Lake Mburo is a wonderful and exiting escape from busy Kampala where one can camp (budget or upscale) or overnight at the park Head Quarters. Ranger Moses is waiting for you to take you on either a foot safari, a drive safari or a boat ride on the lake itself. This park has a selection of game to view ranging from zebra and impale to eland and buffalo. Leopards are also sen there. There is no lion but hyena's can be heard. Topi can also be seen there. For birds there is an abundance in the bush and near the lake. Fish eagles, kingfishers, red bishops are among them and if one is lucky a shoebill stork can be spotted near the hippo's or the sitatunga. Relaxing ate the lake is basic and so is the food at the restaurant there. A sundown with a beer in hand takes for a great evening start before going to sleep among the animals.

Many animals can be seen here like giraffes, Patas monkeys and lots of smaller bucks. There are some nice lodges to stay at and camping is there also. Be sure to book the boat ride to the falls to see some spectacular bird life and huge crocodiles.

Gorilla's are the biggest reason to go to Bwindi for most people tough just driving through the Forest is a pure pleasure.

Different from Murchisson NP because this is where the elephant are in huge numbers. Expect to get up early to see lion or spotted hyena. At the lodge a muffin and coffe is served for the early birds. Also go on a boat ride for good bird viewing and a view of a fishing village as the man take their boats out.
