Exceptional service in every aspect-guide knowledge, lodging, food, parks visited and feel for area
5/5

Goodluck our guide was knowledgable and skilled in all four parks we visited. We saw the big & small five up close when possible and his depth of information on all the animals and birds ( bird lovers paradise) was amazing! Joseph put together our fabulous safari and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Reliability , communication and value could not have been better! It was an adventure of a life time!!!

African Polecat Safaris: A Truly Unforgettable Experience!
5/5

If you’re looking for the ultimate safari experience, look no further than African Polecat Safaris! From start to finish, every detail of our journey was expertly handled, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of Tanzania.

From the moment we arrived in Dar es Salaam, it was clear that Polecat Safaris operates with an exceptional level of professionalism and attention to detail. Every aspect of our trip—transportation, accommodations, and meals—was flawlessly coordinated, ensuring a smooth and stress-free adventure.

A special thank you goes to Anneth, who played a key role in organizing our trip all the way from Canada. She made what could have been an overwhelming process feel seamless and effortless, handling everything with care and precision. Her hard work and dedication were truly appreciated, making us feel confident and excited about such a big trip for a group of 8 friends!

Our 4 days were carefully planned to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities, and we saw everything we had hoped for—and more! From countless close-up animal encounters to witnessing the breathtaking spectacle of the Great Migration, every moment was filled with awe and excitement. The combination of the Serengeti, Ndutu, and the Ngorongoro Crater was absolutely perfect. Each location offered something special and unique!

But what truly made this safari extraordinary was the presence of our incredible guides, Manfred and Ben. Both were incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and passionate about the land, animals, and local culture. Their expertise in tracking wildlife and sharing fascinating stories made each game drive an enriching and immersive experience.

From the moment we set out, Manfred and Ben made us feel like one big family on an adventure together. Whether it was sharing jokes over meals, or celebrating incredible animal sightings, they infused every moment with joy and camaraderie. Celebrating New Years with them and the incredible staff at Moyo camp was one for the books!

If you’re considering a safari in Tanzania, I cannot recommend African Polecat Safaris enough. The combination of expert planning, breathtaking wildlife encounters, and the warmth of the guides and camp hosts ensures that this is not just a trip—but a life-changing adventure.

Thank you, African Polecat Safaris, for a journey we will cherish forever!

Fantastic!
5/5

The tour was nothing short of incredible. Gifton, my tour guide, was knowledgeable, funny and extremely personable which made the day so much fun. I was picked up from Kilimanjaro airport and we started with the waterfall. This was great to do first up while the weather was cool and I had the energy for it.

The hike to the waterfall is decent but not too long and the views in Meru forest are breathtaking! Definitely bring along a good pair of hiking shoes as the trail crosses the river multiple times.

I was awed by the incredible craftsmanship at Shanga and the African Art Gallery at the cultural centre just has to be experienced. I could not recommend enough!

Horrible experience with Birchill Expeditions – we felt scammed and harassed!
1/5

Our two-day visit to Akagera National Park was extremely disappointing. Although the animals were seen on the game drive, the experience was not at all enjoyable. The canoe trip to Ihema Lake was not very exciting, and the animals had to be seen from a distance. The biggest problem was the misconduct of Birchill Expeditions—they forced us to pay extra money and harassed us in various ways throughout the trip. Their management was very poor, and the behavior of the guides was also immodest. Please do not book this company, or you may not get what you paid for.

This was an excellent opener to our week on Safari, and we enjoyed the unique animal behaviors we saw, including tree lions, a cheetah, and many others.

If there were 6 stars I would give them! One of the most beautiful locations I have ever seen and just filled with wildlife and natural wonder. I wish we had more time here. Absolutely breathtaking.

Of the parks visited, this was the hardest to see animals and seems like ecological change has impacted the behavior of them. It was a lush jungly vibe and we did see a lot of wildlife, to be sure, but as a follow on to the other parks, I might have allocated the time to the Crater or Serengeti.

Fantastic In Every Way

5/5

We visited Tanzania with hopes but no expectations. The experience was life changing. Late December/ early January, the weather was warm and comfortable, and we literally saw every animal we wanted, often in droves. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable, the accommodations varied in style but never in welcome. Loved it, and hope to have another experience like this in my lifetime.

Gorillas and Wildlife: A Perfect 10-Day Safari
5/5

Karumuna Safaris organized an exceptional 10-day Gorillas and Wildlife Safari for us. Richard, the managing director, personally ensured our itinerary was seamless. Michael, our guide, was professional and knowledgeable. We visited Bwindi for gorilla trekking, Queen Elizabeth National Park for game drives, and Kibale for chimpanzee tracking. Every activity was perfectly timed, and we were never rushed. The accommodations were high-end, with excellent service. We also had the opportunity to interact with local communities, which added depth to our experience. It was a well-rounded safari with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
