We had an unforgettable experience with Ali. I was on my own that day and it was nice to be with other travelers in a group and to meet new people. The tour was incredible! Something I will never forget. Learning about Soweto and the history was an amazing experience. I LOVED meeting the residents of Soweto. Ali took time to answer our questions and point out so many things. He had great insights and a love for history and cultural experiences. It was a fantastic value!! I loved getting picked up and driving around Johannesburg and Soweto. I felt very safe and well taken care of the entire time. We had interesting conversations and learned a lot. I would highly recommend this tour!

For Paul and James, excellent communication and good value for money with the best guide
We have just concluded an unforgettable 8-day safari trip in Kenya, and we are grateful to African Starpal for providing us with such a remarkable journey.
Since April, we have had very pleasant communication with Paul, who has been attentive to my requests and provided detailed information about various aspects, including the number of safaris we could participate in, travel times and distances to different national parks, and the conditions of various hotels. He offered patient and effective advice and quotes, always considering my perspective, even when I made multiple adjustments to the number of participants. On the day we arrived, he made thoughtful arrangements and informed me of the itinerary in advance, helping me avoid any disruptions from a marathon event. Most importantly, without me even asking, he included the flight tickets to Samburu in his quote, and it was cheaper than other agencies, leaving me with no reason to choose anyone else.
Our guide, James, has incredibly sharp eyes. He often spotted special things in places where we couldn't even find them with binoculars. For instance, while others were focused on spotting the Big Five, he found over 20 unique bird species for us, which were stunningly beautiful. In Maasai Mara, he was often the first to lead us to lions and lion prides, allowing us ample observation time and the best viewpoints. Additionally, he is an excellent photographer, always finding great angles and frequently adjusting our positions to ensure we captured outstanding photos. Most importantly, he is very patient. In Samburu, we managed to photograph four cheetahs. Even though it was getting late and other vehicles had left, he knew we loved cheetahs and stayed for nearly 20 minutes, allowing us to clearly hear their calls.

Sir Charles is Amazing and friendly!!
My friends and I had our first safari experience in Africa, and we were initially quite anxious since we didn’t know much about it. However, the team took great care of us, making us feel welcome and at ease. They were incredibly knowledgeable, showing us all the animals we hoped to see. Our tour guide, Sir Charles, was truly outstanding—friendly, attentive, and full of insights! ;))

Amazing experience and the guide was beyond our expectations
We had the best experience and really felt that we got value for our money. The service was great, the camp nice and the safari absolutely amazing. Our guide Johny Jackson was really on top of his game making sure we got the see the coolest animals with a front seat row. We saw lions, cheetahs (both hunting and eating), leopard, elephants and much more from up close. Have absolutely nothing negative to say with this trip!

Flexible and Affordable with Great Response Times
I think this tour was great value for money. Joseph was always friendly and prompt in his replies, checking in to make sure we were okay. James was a reliable and knowledgeable guide, and we always felt safe in Kenya. In Tanzania, we were with Abuus Tours, and both Abuus and our safari guide Suma were communicative and friendly. Suma was very knowledgeable and he and chef Asumani made us feel very welcome.
There was one night where the accommodation we stayed in was different than what we’d been shown in the proposal. This was communicated not long before the night we stayed there. But it ended up not being a big deal really. Both places were fine.
The flip side of this being the flexible, budget option (as you’ll read in other reviews) is that plans are a bit subject to change sometimes and you’ll be tossed around with people who have booked from other avenues for different journeys than you. But ultimately, they’re very good at making sure everyone gets to see the places they wanted to see in an efficient way.
