Our 4-day safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro, arranged on short notice, was seamless and unforgettable. Henry’s exceptional responsiveness and professionalism made planning effortless, while our guide, Kibanga, enriched the journey with his expertise and friendly demeanor. We marveled at abundant wildlife, captured stunning photos, and enjoyed comfortable accommodations with incredible views. This trip exceeded all expectations—highly recommended!

Professional and attentive
5/5

Our experience with African traits was great!
We relied entirely on this local agency to organize a week to climb Kilimanjaro and a week of safari. They proved to be highly professional, everything was planned and taken care of in detail. Expert and professional guides with a high level of English. High level accommodation, splendid locations within the parks during the safari and always excellent food.
The care of the guides on Kilimanjaro regarding the state of acclimatization and our general physical condition was also important.
Absolutely recommended!

All my wishes were fulfilled and a bit more :)
5/5

I was a solo female traveller looking for a safe but private safari in Tanzania. Did quite a lot of research and figured out what I want to see - I prefer to experience the real life of local people and I love nature. So, I tend to choose places that are not entirely touristic and Lake Natron seemed to be a good choice for me.

I found Roko Safaris from official Tanzania Safaris web-page filtering for solo traveller options and sorting results by "the cheapest first". Checking their web-page I was sure that this is my best option and I couldn't be more right! The communication was fast, clear and smooth - I told what I want to see and do during my 6 days in Tanzania and it was all arranged for very reasonable price. I was assured that Roko - the safari quide - will be picking me up from the airport (my flight arrived 2.40 am) and take care of everything until back in the airport for leaving to Zanzibar.

As the trip to Lake Natron takes about 6 hours I decided not to stay in Arusha but to head to lake Natron right from the airport. It was a very good decision as it was cooler to drive in the night and around 6am we were out of the main road enjoying the stunning sunrise. Roko got me snacks and drinks without me asking for them and I really loved the ride thru the villages and wilderness with seeing lots of animals already.

For my first three days and two night I stayed in their lovely guesthouse on the hillside near Lake Natron with beautiful views and lush garden with several little pools with the water from natural waterfall. My room was modest (not for quests expecting 4-5* luxury), but clean and all I needed including fan to make sleeping in the heat a bit easier for a person from north :). During my three days we were out at the most beautiful waterfall, safari at small Serengeti with lots of animals and indeed thousands of flamingos, hot-springs and local Masai villages. Mostly I was the only explorer on the spot and I was feeling like in the movie being able to stand up in the safari car while we were driving. Not to mention that I was feeling very safe and well taken care of by Roko. I really felt like being out there with my best friend learning from each other about so different cultures we come from.

On the second half of my trip we visited Tarangire National park and believe me, the best part of it was "getting lost". It means that the park is having spots with lots of safari cars (and dust), but then you can drive out of the main roads and find yourself in the lush hillsides with stunning views and some animals and no other cars on sight. Last days we spent in Arusha visiting great Art Gallery, Lake Duluti and some other places. You can already guess that I had chosen not to stay in the city center hotel but in a beautiful little lodge up on the hillside with amazing garden and a nice pool. As a cherry on top of the cake we found a local church on our walk in the local village with young brother and sister welcoming us and singing just for us.

There is no other way that to end my review assuring that I really had best possible time in Tanzania with paradise like experiences ... and for sure a bit more of them that I had planned based on my initial research :)

11 day Midrange Kenya Bush and Beach Holiday
5/5

Tapestry agency helped us organize an unforgettable trip to Kenya for our New Year holidays. We would like to note the professional and individual approach, starting with planning the trip according to our wishes, providing all the necessary information and willingness to help. We were met at the Nairobi airport and our wonderful guide and driver Peter accompanied us throughout the trip. Attentive, responsible, organized, with a great sense of humor. He always amazed us with his encyclopedic knowledge of all the inhabitants of the Kenyan reserves. On this trip we managed to see for the first time in our lives so many different animals, birds, plants! We were delighted to meet elephants, giraffes, gazelles and antelopes, a cheetah and lions!
We quite liked the hotels we stayed in. With the exception of Aa lodge Amboseli. The coastal hotel Diani Reef beach Resort & spa was also very tired and did not meet our expectations, but apparently this is the best of all...
Overall, we all got unforgettable impressions and extraordinary pleasure from this trip and are grateful to the Tapestry agency for helping to organize it!

The Namib-Naukluft National Park was quite an experience. The dry veld and desolate environment gave an almost eerie feeling driving around in the park. The lodge was lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

Review about Etosha National Park by Eileen Blignaut
Overall rating
3/5

The poor quality of the roads in Etosha certainly detracted from the enjoyment of the bush experience. The driver did not have the opportunity to view game, as he had to concentrate on careering on the very neglected roads in the park (even though we drive a 4x4). This needs to enjoy urgent attention from the parks authorities.

About: Namibia
Beautiful and desolate landscape
Overall rating
5/5

We spent three weeks in Namibia, which Lilly from Great Explorations in Windhoek arranged for us. This was my husband's 60th birthday present and we drove over 9 000 kilometres during the road trip. Sossus Vlei and Sesriem were very hot and the advice from the guides was that we should not drive ourselves, as the sand is very dense. The guides were great and the dunes were spectacular. The lodges along the way were also fantastic. Our only point of concern was that the roads in Etosha are so poor that the driver needs to concentrate on the road full time and does not have the opportunity to view any game. This is something to which the wildlife authorities need to pay attention.
