Amazing Kilimanjaro Marangu Route Trek
We want to take a moment to shout out Golden Trips Tanzania, the incredible tour company that made these 6 days fun, safe, and memorable. They even surprised us with a bubbly celebration at the base to mark reaching the summit! 🥂
🧭 Guides: Our guides, Bob and Noah, went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and comfortable. They carried our bags when we were struggling, always had snacks and heat packs ready, and kept us motivated when exhaustion kicked in. Bob, our lead guide, was exceptional, his experience got us to the summit safely, and he even helped arrange a private room/shower for us at Horombo when we needed it.
🌍 Local Company: This is a small, growing Tanzanian-owned company that employs local staff and uplifts the community. Supporting a local business over the big US/EU-based companies was something really important to us.
👨🍳 Food: Our private chef, Cheeks, was unbelievably resourceful - whipping up three fresh meals a day using only what he carried up the mountain. He was super accommodating with dietary needs and made sure we had the fuel to get through each day. Meals were even delivered with a waiter - on a mountain!
🎶 Vibes: The entire team brought so much good energy: singing songs, keeping our spirits high, and making the experience one we’ll never forget.
💰 Pricing: We booked this tour after getting quotes from several other companies and felt that the price was extremely reasonable for the value we got.
We cannot recommend Golden Trips Tanzania enough! 🏔

A magical honeymoon of a lifetime!
We have just arrived home from the honeymoon of a lifetime with Mountain Warriors.
From the beginning Loveness was very helpful and proactive in defining the schedule and selecting the best accommodation for our budget. We felt it was very good value for money. This is what made us choose Mountain Warriors over other suppliers. The transfers to/from the airport were also seamless.
We started our safari off with a high, when Simon came to collect us they had personalised the vehicle with honeymoon signs which is such a lovely thoughtful touch we never expected!
The Safari with Simon was everything we could have dreamed of. We did 4 days, 3 nights passing through Tanguiere, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We saw the big 5 and loads of others amazing animals we didn’t expect. Simon really spotted out the animals and tried to make sure we saw everything we could. He was so knowledgeable about the animals, Tanzania and local culture, we loved learning from him. It was chilled and felt like exploring with a friend! We enjoyed all the lunches, and they took the care to inform all the accommodation of our dietaries. They even told them it was our honeymoon so we had celebrations each night too which was special.
We stayed at Suricata Boma Lodge, Signature Serengeti Luxury Camp and Lions Paw. All amazing in their own areas. One thing to note is that a lot of the accommodations separate guests from Safari guides which we didn’t like as much, we enjoyed the places that looked after the guides too! Something to consider when booking accommodation.
The days are long in the Jeep but you don’t notice between the talking, spotting animals and taking in the scenery. Some truly magical moments we’ll cherish forever.

Amazing experience
The experience was incredible! We took the 5-day desert and coast tour, spending two days in the desert and the other two in Swakopmund. Communication was very efficient, starting from when we first contacted the agency for information about prices and itineraries. Everything was very well organized. Our guide, Berron, was wonderful, with great knowledge of the history, biology, and geology of the areas we visited, explaining everything to us. We learned a lot about Namibia, which is a fantastic country. Both the desert and the coast are amazing! I was expecting a great experience, but it was even better than I had anticipated. On the coast, activities were not included in our package, so we booked the Sandwich Harbour tour separately, which is definitely worth it. We thought the value for money was good, as we didn't have to worry about anything. Accommodations and food included in the package were really nice, and we learned a lot from our guide. If we had opted for self-driving, we probably would have saved some money, but I think contracting the agency was a good decision for a more complete and relaxing experience. The only issue was that the Wi-Fi didn’t work during our entire stay in the desert.
