Unforgettable Masai Mara Safari Experience!
5/5

We had a wonderful experience with our Masai Mara safari! From start to finish, everything was well-organized and smooth. Our guide was exceptional – he had great knowledge of the wildlife and the region, and his passion really added to the experience. He was also very kind and polite, making us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout the journey.

We got to see the Big Five and so much more, and every game drive was exciting and memorable. We truly enjoyed every moment of the safari. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Masai Mara with a professional and friendly team!

An Unforgettable Soweto Tour with Tshepo – Highly Recommended!
5/5

We had an incredible experience exploring Soweto with our guide, Tshepo. His deep knowledge of the area’s rich history and culture made every stop on the tour meaningful and insightful. Tshepo didn’t just explain the facts — he brought them to life with powerful stories and thoughtful context that gave us a much deeper appreciation of Soweto's role in South Africa’s past and present.
His passion for the community, friendly demeanor, and clear explanations made the entire tour engaging from start to finish. It was truly an eye-opening journey, filled with moments that were educational, moving, and inspiring.
Thank you, Tshepo, for such a memorable and enriching experience!

5/5

We did the mid-range Masai Mara experience and it was an incredible experience. Our lodging, food, and service at the lodge was incredible, and our guide Daniel was a incredible professional and guide. He went above and beyond to provide us with a lovely experience, and was flexible to allow us to see the things we wanted to.

Best travel
5/5

We began with an inspiring visit to a local village, then marveled at Materuni Waterfalls. Day two thrilled us in Tarangire with its abundant wildlife, and Ngorongoro's majestic crater capped the adventure. The food was divine and the hospitality heartwarming. Every moment, from breathtaking views to amazing people, will forever hold a special place in my heart

Majestic
5/5

Raheem made it majestic. He has two qualities: attentiveness and kindness. He is attentive to the needs of his tourists whether we needed a bathroom break, to stop to take a picture of a bird or to help negotiate at a shop. However is even more attentive to the radio in the jeep and the animals. He was doing everything in his power for us to see as much animals as possible, to give value to our hard earned money. Thanks to him I saw more animals than I hoped to see and he got me close to the majestic magic of the animals of Kenya. Raheem is also very kind, always happy to share a smile and a joke and always there to make us feel comfortable and safe. Raheem, thanks for making my first safari experience an incredible adventure.

I recommend not too book-- Promised refund not provided – despite written confirmation from Collins, poor service
1/5

The circumstances of our trip and the internal rebooking to a different and significantly cheaper safari hotel in the Okavango Delta were not only not discussed with us, but in retrospect, the fraudulent practice of the provider has become apparent. After we contacted Southern Dynasty Safaris several times and they promised a refund of USD 2,000, nothing has happened yet. Collins, our contact at Southern Dynasty Safaris, is obviously highly dubious and collects the full travel price for high-quality travel services and is not willing to pay reasonable refunds that have already been promised. We had to involve the Zambian Tourism Organization, which wanted to mediate in this case. Unfortunately, they could not persuade ZATO Southern Dynasty Safaris to make a payment either. All tourists are warned at this point not to book a trip with Southern Dynasty Safaris and especially not with Collins Kolonga.

A safari company and our guide provided a first class experience that exceeded our expectations.
5/5

Having retired a few years ago, I have been traveling while I still can.
So I wanted to go on Safari, but where to begin?
So I started googling and got quotes of $20,000, then $30,000 for one week, that’s ridiculous!
Then I found this website, Safari Bookings, great site comparing all the tour operators.
In the top five was “Lion King Adventures”, after reviewing all of their tour offerings,
I requested a quote on a custom package, it came back under $8,000
Really! Everything I want for less than half the well know advertisers.
The whole booking process went smoothly, with plenty of emails covering all of the details.
The transfer driver picked us up at the airport as promised.
The first night hotel was 5 star with breakfast served overlooking the beautiful grounds.
Our guide Oswald (Ozzie) was waiting at the door first thing in the morning.
He gave us an introduction on what would happened over the next week.
The SUV (Bogo) we would be using, a new Toyota Land Cruiser, customized with a refrigerator filled with ice cold water bottles, we used a whole case. Dual fuel tanks and dual spare tires. Power strip for charging my cameras. Plenty of seating for six and a center aisle for standing and looking out the pop up top, full 360 viewing for tracking moving animals. While on safari you spend all day (8-10 hrs.) in the SUV transferring between parks and crawling over rough dirt roads looking for the next animal sighting. Ozzie always greeted us warmly each morning, always answered my many questions, always offered helping assistance, It was a joy to be in his care. You want your guide to be personable.
He always drove safely, we were passed by other drivers going too fast for conditions, and then to find them broke down in the middle of the road later. We passed many blown tires, broken suspensions and a truck with both front tires hanging at opposite angles, sheared off tie rods.
Safari means going into the vast remote wilderness, looking for animals in their home environment.
Thus, there is no power lines, no cell towers, no pavement, no street signs, no gps, no maps.
The ONLY modern thing out there is gravel on the main roads, the majority of roads are just dirt tracks wondering through the hundreds of miles of vastness . Ozzie never got lost, never consultant a map, never asked for directions.
He was stopped several times to help out lost guides with concerned guests in the back .

The only way to get into the parks are with a local licensed guide driving a 4-wheel drive. They all have 2way radios.
When someone finds a rare sighting, the word gets out and soon a dozen trucks show up joggling for the best viewing, then moving out of the way for the next to get a great view. NO tour busses belching fumes, no stupid tourist driving rental cars.
Just dedicated professional guides filled with answers on the details of every animal.

Every day included a hot picnic lunch on a table cloth no less.
Ozzie had a picnic basket with two stainless steel canisters, real pottery plates and real metal cutlery.
The food was freshly prepared by the hotel each night, included rice/pasta, chicken and/or beef, vegetables.
While other safari guides provided a box lunch, cold sandwich, chips, and a juice box.

Do I regret going with Lion King, NO.
Would I do it again, YES.
Would I cut corners to save a few dollars, NO
Don’t over pay a huge sales commission to the well-known resale brokers.
Quality did not cost more, just go with the best! Lion King Adventures.
