Organized
Chrizaan was friendly, organized and extremely knowledgeable about lodges and safari options that we were interested in. We booked an 11 night tour through Zimbabwe and Botswana starting in Victoria Falls at VF Safari Lodge then going to Botswana to Chobe Game Lodge, Camp Okavango, Camp Xakanaxa and Laroo La Tau. All the lodges were 5 star safari lodges or tented camps. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff and guides were friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. We saw 4 of the Big 5 (no Rhinos) plus hundreds of elephants, zebras, wildebeest, crocodiles and more. The thing that stood out the most to us was how organized the tour was with Desert & Delta Safari Group managing timely flights between camps that coordinated flawlessly with game drives and meals.

Review: Needs Major Improvements in Logistics and Support
I recently completed a 7-day Kenya safari with my father. While a safari in Kenya is inherently beautiful, our overall experience was unfortunately marred by several operational shortcomings and a lack of clear communication from the team.
Main Concerns:
Vehicle & Seating: We were promised guaranteed window seats, but during the Masai Mara leg, the vehicle was packed with 8 passengers, leaving me in a rear middle seat. The vehicle itself was also quite worn down and not in optimal condition.
Itinerary Changes: Our scheduled evening game drive at Lake Nakuru was cancelled without prior notice. Additionally, on our final day, the schedule was changed—instead of doing a morning game drive followed by breakfast and departure, we were checked out early and driven straight back to Nairobi.
Pickup Logistics: We were initially requested to walk to meet the vehicle rather than being picked up at our hotel, though the team did bring the vehicle over after we requested it.
Time Management & Logistics: Out of 7 days, only 2 to 3 days felt productive for wildlife viewing. Much of the remaining time was spent on transit and guest coordination, including long 2.5-hour lunch stops waiting for other travelers to join.
Communication & Support: Pre-trip communication was minimal, and once the tour commenced, we received no responses to our queries or feedback regarding the itinerary changes.
I am sharing this feedback in the hope that the agency improves its logistics, honors seating commitments, and enhances communication for future travelers.

Wonderful and ethical
It was a fantastic trip in every way, including the car and driver Tim, the great hotels, and the excellent sightseeing itinerary.

Tetu and Benson are very knowledgeable about the park and very friendly as well.
Tetu and Benson were great tour guides. They are very flexible and always willing to help. Tetu, the driver was clearly very familiar with the national park, knowing exactly where to go and which roads to take, while Benson was very knowledgeable about the animals in the area.

Breach of Agreement and Extremely Poor Customer Treatment
We booked our honeymoon safari with Kwanza Safaris and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
Before booking, Kwanza agreed in writing to a discounted price and confirmed several inclusions that were important to us. Once we arrived, we did not receive what had been promised and were asked to pay extra for services we believed were already included.
The most concerning part was that we were pressured to make additional payments while on safari and were even threatened with police involvement if we refused. Being in a remote location, we felt we had no choice but to pay.
To be fair, the hotels and lodges were good and matched what was advertised, and communication before our arrival was excellent. However, customer service once we arrived, and afterwards, was extremely poor, and our complaints were ignored.
Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend Kwanza Safaris.

An Unforgettable Kilimanjaro Trek & Safari – The Trip of a Lifetime!
We recently took an 8-day trek along the Lemosho Route to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with Mountain Warriors, followed by a 3-day safari. Because we were the only ones who had booked during this period, Mountain Warriors ran the entire trek just for the two of us, making it a completely personalized experience. We could not have asked for a better team—from start to finish, we felt completely safe, comfortable, and deeply cared for.
Our guides, Sam and Justin, were immediately warm, trustworthy, and likeable. Open communication was a top priority for them throughout the entire journey. They enriched every day not only with their amazing personalities, but also with their vast knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and culture. They cared for us with the utmost professionalism and genuine warmth.
The entire porter crew was incredibly friendly and always eager to help. We lacked absolutely nothing! Even though we are vegetarian, our cook, Obama, catered to our diet perfectly—the food morning, noon, and night was delicious, and clean drinking water was always available. Since I get cold easily at night, William always brought me a hot water bottle in the evenings, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Everyday some of the porterd came back to meet us on the track to take our backpacks even though they have already been to the camp! Hasan and Rajabu should definitely get the chance to be a guide as well!
One of the highlights was Sam’s suggestion to do summit day during the daytime to avoid the extreme nighttime cold. It was hands down the best idea! It allowed us to pace ourselves comfortably without any crowds on the trail, and we ended up having the entire summit all to ourselves. When my husband suffered from altitude sickness, Sam and Justin stayed completely calm and, together with Rajabu and Hasan, safely helped him reach the top. Even after the summit, the entire team continued to take amazing care of us including Hasan!
To top it all off, on our last evening on the mountain, Obama surprised us with a freshly baked cake for our honeymoon, and the whole crew sang for us. We genuinely could not have imagined a better crew!
Following our trek, we set off early in the morning for a 3-day safari, spending two nights in luxury tented camps in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The chosen accommodations were unique and extremely comfortable. Our driver, Aslam, was an absolute expert with incredible experience. He shared fascinating insights about every animal and managed to show us the Big Five because he knew precisely where to look.
We are beyond happy with our experience with Mountain Warriors and highly recommend them to anyone traveling to Tanzania. We made memories for a lifetime and already miss Sam, Justin, and the entire crew!

Just incredible all around.
Being peak season and with so short notice I was having a hard time finding a safari that would fit my schedule and what I wanted to do. Elly went above and beyond to help me do exactly that. I was also lucky enough to have Shabani, or Shebe what I called him during our 4 days together, as my guide. He was extremely knowledgeable but most importantly a great person with amazing conversation! I can’t recommend them enough. It was truly an unbelievable experience. Thank you both for such an amazing time!

An unforgettable safari experience!
We had an absolutely incredible safari trip to Tanzania, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice.
From the very beginning, the team was incredibly responsive and attentive to every detail. Godson helped us design and organize the itinerary, answering all of our questions and making sure everything was tailored to what we wanted. Even when we faced unexpected flight schedule changes (completely out of their control), they reacted immediately and found quick solutions so we wouldn't miss out on a single moment of the experience.
Our guide, Culvert, was phenomenal! He was warm, friendly, and a pleasure to be with throughout the whole trip. He put so much effort into making sure we saw as much wildlife as possible, including elusive predators that are usually very hard to spot.
We stayed at the camp, which was clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. The staff provided exceptional service—always kind, polite, and happy to help with anything we needed.
If you are planning a trip to Tanzania, we highly recommend booking with them. Truly an unforgettable adventure!
