Incredible 3-Day Safari
Our 3-day safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater was an unforgettable experience. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish.

We never expected to get so close to the animals ! The accommodations and food were also excellent.

Takims Holidays did an outstanding job organizing our family trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. From the planning stage through the end of the trip, Tehsin and the team were responsive, patient, and easy to work with.
The safari itself was exceptional, largely because of our guide, Raymond. He knew the parks extremely well, helped us see an amazing range of wildlife, and adjusted each day to fit our family’s pace. He was also thoughtful in small ways that made a real difference, including taking extra care to make the experience special for my daughter.
Several activities stood out, especially the Mto Wa Mbu village visit, canoeing on Small Momella Lake, the Serengeti hot air balloon ride, and the night drive in Tarangire. Each added something different to the trip and made the itinerary feel well-rounded.
Takims has been established since 1950, and their experience came through in the quality of the planning, guiding, and overall execution. This was a memorable and very well-run trip, and I look forward to working with Takims again in the future to plan another amazing experience.

I am grateful to Idris and the team. As a female solo traveler and my first time in the African continent I enjoyed and felt very safe all the time. They picked me up punctually at the hotel, they booked every ticket for me including trains, hotels and parks fees. The schedule went as planned with no unfortunate surprises. The hotel they booked surpassed all my expectations. The safari was amazing. Osman and Alphonse tried hard to find the animals I was expecting to see and they stayed for the sunset as I requested. All the drivers were kind (John and Benson). My experience overall was excellent ! I would totally recommend it to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

We had the pleasure of spending three unforgettable days on safari in the Masai Mara with our guide, Peter Ngigi, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Peter was the perfect combination of friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. His ability to anticipate animal movements and position us in exactly the right place at the right time was truly remarkable. Even more impressive was his skill in finding the perfect viewing and photography angles, allowing us to capture some absolutely incredible moments that we’ll treasure forever.
His knowledge of the wildlife, their behaviour, and the Masai Mara ecosystem was fascinating, and he was always happy to answer our questions and share interesting facts throughout the trip. His passion for the animals and the conservation of the area really shone through.

Our Driver and Guide (David): David was incredible! He was lively, energetic, and extremely knowledgeable about everything we asked him. We truly could not have asked for a better person to guide us through our trip to Amboseli. He made the journey unforgettable.
The Accommodation (Penety): Staying at Penety out in the bush was a wonderful experience. It is a very cozy place with incredibly nice and welcoming people. We had a great stay there.
Amboseli National Park: We couldn't have picked a better place to experience a safari. We saw so much wildlife, and we are incredibly happy with the whole experience!

Amazing experience
Our guide, Peter, was truly exceptional throughout the safari. He was not only very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the ecosystem, but also incredibly attentive, kind and supportive in every situation. He had a natural way of explaining things that made the experience feel meaningful and easy to understand.
As I was travelling solo, I especially appreciated how welcoming and friendly he was — at times it felt like travelling with a friend rather than a guide. He made me feel comfortable, safe, and included, while still giving me space to fully enjoy the experience.
Thanks to him, the safari felt richer, more human, and deeply memorable.
Joshua was diligent, transparent, and accommodating
Mercy who helped to facilitate the tour was a great communicator and responded quickly to inquiries. The value was good for money and the AA lodge even has a Maasai dance performance at night. Sometimes there will be little bugs in the room but we are in nature so it is to be expected. When we set out for Amboseli, there was a malfunction with the vehicle and our tour guide Joshua worked diligently to fix the problem. When it couldn’t be fixed within the hour, he arranged for another driver to take us to the park. He met up with us when the problem was fixed and very honestly informed us of the issue, the itinerary for the day, and gave us extra time in the park. Generally speaking, Joshua worked hard to find us animals that are out at specific times of the day and did continual check ins to make sure we had an optimal experience.
