My family and I spent a day with Baltazary in Arusha. We all enjoyed it including my 3 teenagers. He was an outstanding guide with a warm, friendly personality and a wealth of knowledge. He showed us the local culture and also showed us the city’s must-see attractions. A highlight for us was a tour of the central market. We highly recommend Baltazary!

Very nice guide with a lot of knowledge
Today we had the pleasure of meeting our guide, Willy, for the first time, and we only wish we had met him sooner. He offers personalized game drives at very reasonable prices. His knowledge of the local vegetation and the animals—their behavior in particular—is truly impressive. We had a wonderful time spending the entire day exploring with him, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional safari experience.

Our booking process started with sending them a message here on this website and they replied pretty quick with specific information about the tour duration, stops, stays and prices. We asked them to make some changes to our quote to include an extra day and they gave us the new price right away. They reached out to us ~2 weeks before our safari to confirm everything and then reached out ~2 days before our arrival with information about pick up time, driver name and stuff like that. Overall, the communication was great and I appreciate them reaching out to confirm everything.
Shout out to our guide, Leonard, what a fantastic guy. His attitude during this trip was amazing and he helped us find 4 out of the big 5 in the Masai Mara. He was in constant communication with the other guides to ask what they had seen so we could go there and see the same things as well. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw the only leopard people spotted that day. Thank you Leonard for taking us through Masai Mara.
Overall, great experience and we would book with them again without questions.

Axis Safari is the best!
I booked our family’s private safari from the Netherlands, entirely remotely. Tabitha responded to all of my questions promptly and was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Everyone was very friendly, reliable, and everything was well organized.
Our game drives with our guide, Richard/Nkoile (Masai name), were absolutely amazing. As a Masai himself, he was able to share a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and their behavior. He was also exceptional at spotting animals. Thanks to his expertise, we saw all of the Big Five! In many cases, we were the first to arrive at sightings, giving us the chance to observe the animals up close and take fantastic photos without the crowds.
I highly recommend Axis Safari to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience!!

Fantastic, beautifully done
Amazing tour. The guides, Gilbert and Yusuph, were spectacular naturalists, with eagle eyes spotting everything. We saw the entire gamut of animals. They were flexible in accommodating our large group but also gently guided us to preferred times, and encouraging patience when watching animals. They had a great sense of what was going to happen before it did, and often our patience (waiting and watching) was rewarded by novel behaviors. The price was great for our group size and all the camps/hotels easily accommodated our dietary needs. Lion King communicated exceptionally well before the trip and all the pickups/dropoffs were flawless. But the highlight was our two guides, who made the trip so memorable.

100% Amazing, we saw loads of animals. Cheetah, Giraffes, Zebras, Hippos, Elephants, Kudus, endless Impalas. Our tour guide Martin made the trip worth it.

Best tour !
We had an amazing experience with Kihindo Tours and Safaris. Firstly, communication/booking/payment was easy. Everything was well organized. The lodge was nice, with big and clean bedrooms, comfortable beds. The food was okay.
We had the chance to have William as our guide, he did a great job. He is really passionate about nature, knows everything about everything and was really happy to share with us. Besides he’s a good driver and made us feel safe.
He was very careful not to disturb the animals, and I really appreciated this respectful approach and the time we took to really observe the animals in their environment. We had the chance to see many of them (elephants, girafes, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, wild dogs, lions…) The landscapes of the parc were interesting, with a lot of water and dead trees, which was quite unique.
Overall, a very good quality-price ratio, and we recommend the experience !

4 days safari tour in Nyerere park
A very good experience with Kihindo Tours and Safaris. All well organised. William was a fantastic guide with huge knowledge about wild animals and we can feel the passion for his job and sharing with us. He was always happy to answer all our questions and does not hesitate to add other comments about wildlife. Furthermore we can discuss a lot with him during the travel from and to DAR.
