We had a fantastic 6 day Safari with Jambo Bwana Expeditions. The guide/driver Steven was fantastic and wildly exceeded our expectations. The accommodations and food were all excellent especially considering the affordable price, our favourite part was the two nights we spent in the Serengeti in a luxury tent. We would recommend multiple nights in the Serengheti and to make sure to visit the Ngorogoro crater. We saw the big 5 multiple times. The team even provided airport pick up and drop off. We also really appreciated the team was always on time or even early and we never had to wait.

At the very beginning, they patiently answeredall my questionsand helped arrange our entire 7-day safari, which turned out to be a perfect itinerary.
When we arrived at JRO International Airport, the team picked us up. We got a very clean and comfortable car equipped withWi-Fi, refreshments and everything we needed.
Johnson was our guide. He was very friendly and experienced, and we had a wonderful time together. Thanks to him, I have no regrets about our safari.
Now I am back in my homecountry, I still miss all th experiences we had there.

It was a largely positive experience, until we were informed that Kojuu mishandled our payment.
This is a difficult review to write because we generally enjoyed our day-to-day experience with Kojuu. Near the end of our 13-day trip, however, we were made aware that Kojuu appeared to have mishandled thousands of dollars of our payment, and they have entirely failed to take prompt steps to remedy the situation. To date (now three weeks after our trip ended), Kojuu has still not returned our money (more details below). It's only fair to address the pros and cons of our experience.
Pros: (1) our driver Noel was phenomenal--he was accommodating, personable, and knowledgeable, (2) the majority of the accommodations chosen by Kojuu were exceptional, (3) the company added extra touches to help us celebrate our honeymoon--they informed the safari lodges, brought flowers, etc.
Cons: In short, Kojuu appears to have misappropriated thousands of dollars. Unsurprisingly, we were required to submit full payment in advance of our trip so that Kojuu could pay for our accommodations, excursions, etc. Our first issue arose when it was revealed that Kojuu did not secure a date for the hot air balloon excursion that we paid extra for. The company initially indicated that we would be going on the excursion on a particular date. It turned out, however, that Kojuu never secured that date (despite us paying for it months in advance). We were not informed of the situation until we affirmatively reached out to Kojuu asking for a status update the night before the initially scheduled excursion date. Had we not reached out on our own initiative, we would've woken up at 04:00 for an excursion that was never booked.
Our primary issue with Kojuu arose on our final day in Tanzania. Our hotel informed us that Kojuu never paid for our last hotel in Zanzibar (again, despite the fact that we paid Kojuu months in advance so they could handle this process). When I contacted our tour consultant, Losim, he indicated that Kojuu would be making prompt payment to the hotel on our behalf to remedy the situation. This was a lie. Kojuu never made any payment to the hotel. Instead, we were required to directly pay the hotel over $1,500 out of pocket before we were permitted to check out and leave for the airport. Despite dozens of emails and Whatsapp messages between Losim and Kojuu Owner, Judith, I still have not been reimbursed for the money I was forced to pay because Kojuu pocketed my money instead of forwarding it to our hotel. As of the date of this review, it has been over three weeks since I was required to pay the hotel. Given the immense delays and Kojuu's inconsistent messaging and refund timeline, I'm left to believe that I won't be getting the refund that they've been promising for nearly a month now. To the extent that I ever receive a refund, I'll update this portion of my review.

very good and exciting trip. thanks to Samuel who is the owner of this company. He gave us a safe trip and a warm pick up from the airport. And the price is good. If I will go safari again, I will find Samuel as my guide again.

Mount Kenya was amazing and we had a great team to help us. They were always super attentive, kind and helpful. I was affected by altitude sickness early on and we were ready to descend on the second day but the guide suggested we change the itenarary and spend a day acclimatizing so we didn't lose the experience. The team kept looking after me really well and we were able to continue. There was so much food and water they continually prepared for us. They work really hard and really made our experience what it was

Really enjoyed seeing different parts of Kenya and many different animals. The tour guide was really nice and we saw lots of animals. The hot air balloon in Masai mara was the highlight.

The best one
We had a tour “3 days Masai Mara adventure” from Nairobi.
1. We had a group tour (5 tourists from different countries) and everyone from our group was nice, it was fun to find animals together. Take your binoculars, so you can check animals in details. Our jeep was equipped with comfortable seats, with enough space for everyone in the car.
2. Our guide Yasin is the best! He knows everything about animals and he can answer on all your questions in English. His jokes are really fun)
Yasin did everything to show to us animals as more as possible and we got unbelievable impressions. We saw leopard, hyenas, ostriches, giraffes, crocodiles; families of elephants, warthogs and hippos with their babies; herds of buffalos, zebras, impalas, wildebeests and others.
The most memorable moments for me were:
- a pair of black rhinos, we saw them so close!
- cheetah with her babies, they played among bushes and one more pregnant cheetah, they are amazing!
- we were watching for lion’s hunting on warthogs twice, at those moments I felt myself as a participant of an “animal planet”.
I really recommend this guy, he did our safari unbelievable!
3. Our manager answered very fast, she was nice and helped me all the time.
4. We had a problem with our accommodation. We booked “Sankale”, but they brought us to another one “Lenchada” and explained it because of overbooking. Our tent had holes and the door was broken, so a lot of insects were inside, pillows were with spots like mold. I will not mark down, because our manager solved this problem and negotiated with camp about changing the tent and we got the better one without insects and clean textile. Personal in Lenchada were polite and nice. Food was standard for budget type of accommodation. In my lunchbox were plenty of ants especially inside my chicken. So be careful.
So, this company of safari tours is perfect! I really recommend AXIS safari.

Amazing safari experience
I had such an amazing experience and can absolutely recommend this safari! Everything was very well organized from the beginning, and I felt comfortable and taken care of throughout the entire trip.
The safari itself was honestly unforgettable. I saw so many incredible animals and beautiful places, and our guides were absolutely amazing – very friendly, knowledgeable and always made sure we had the best possible experience.
As a solo traveler, it was also really important to me to feel safe and comfortable, and I definitely did the entire time. Everything from the organization to the accommodation and the safari days went smoothly.
This was one of the highlights of my trip to Tanzania and an experience I will never forget. Thank you so much for making these days so special! I would 100% recommend booking with them. 🦁🐘🤍
