Wonderful honeymoon experience with perfect customer service and attention to detail
5/5

My wife and I used East Africa Safari Tours and had the absolute best time. We're from the US and we were worried about communication but the team has US and Rwanda presence which made for fast response times to all of our questions and concerns. The team on the ground is exceptional, timely, and hospitable.

We did 2 days gorillas and 1 day monkeys. our second day of doing gorillas was better than our first so I am VERY happy we tacked on another day. It is true that the different families have different personalities.

Thanks again to Anna , Bora, ad Gerrard's hospitality.

Nice experience was delivered, better than expected.
4/5

There are many operators, the tours offered are more or less the same. The main question is if you get what you were promised. I am happy I chose to go with these guys, as everything was even better than I expected. Special thanks to a guide - Gifty. He is really a guy, who is dedicated to what he does and what he loves - nature. Isn't this we all coming to safari for? I had more than a few safari experiences, and this was among the best. Go for it.

Well planned, well delivered and well communicated! Overall made a fantastic experience.
5/5

This tour outfit exceeded expectations and provided a great and unique experience relative to the standard "game drive only" safari.
We did a 9 day safari that was incredibly varied in scope to meet the interests of everyone in the party. Alphar was responsive, friendly and quick to accommodate our requests to put together a truly bespoke and unforgettable experience.

Our guides, Izzy (reptiles) and Gerald (mammals) were fantastically skilled spotters. They were also warm and friendly and not only provided loads of information on the animals we were encountering, but also gave a great picture of the life, culture and history of Uganda. They completely enriched the experience and helped make long drives feel short.

If you're planning to visit Uganda to herp, this is also THE outfit to choose. Look at most Uganda reptile videos on YouTube or photos from professional photographers and chances are Herping and Wildlife Safaris organized the trip.
With a pretty restricted amount of time committed to herping, we managed to find a good number of our target species (and I will most certainly be going back to find the rest).

All of the lodges we stayed in were clean and comfortable and I don't think I had a bad meal, but the standouts were definitely:
- Ruboni Community Camp in Rwenzori (the coolest location ever)
- Aardvark Safari Lodge in QENP (incredible food, lodge, service, rooms, everything... bonus elephant walking through the property)
- Ride for a Woman in Bwindi (amazing story and cause and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I really loved this place)

If you're a wildlife photographer (or landscape), this could be one of your most diverse and productive trips. It certainly was for me: https://www.simonmillerphotography.com/uganda25

Peter nyamu was patient with my elderly mother ? Knowledgeable and informative
5/5

Overall we had a very pleasant experience right from the beginning. Chris came over with peter and on time and they were patient as we took some time helping my elderly mother to the vehicle. Peter was pleasant and did his best to find the animals. I would use the company again

Fantastic experience
5/5

I relied on Oliver while taking advantage of a business trip. In no time, he managed to organize everything perfectly—from the journey to the safari. I didn’t have to think about a thing. A fantastic experience immersed in the wild nature. Thank you so much, Oliver. I highly recommend

A great safari company for an off-the-grid experience
5/5

For me and my three fellow travellers, all in our senior years, I want to find a safari company that could give us a personal, in-depth experience of the Okavango Delta for a reasonable price. Xaa Safaris did just that! Our driver/guide picked us up in Maun with a well-equipped, open-air safari vehicle and we were off for an African adventure.

We chose the 5-day mobile tent tour with two nights in the Moremi Reserve and two nights at a site only accessible by mokoro canoes on the Boro River. This gave us excellent opportunities to photograph all the amazing animals to found there; to walk with a guide on the open savannah; to glide through the delta in a dug-out-style canoe; to sit by a campfire listening to the distant roars of lions; to have breakfast while elephants wandered past or camp. Unforgettable!

The tents were sturdy with cots, carpets, toilets and showers. The food was plentiful and delicious (thank you O.B.) The camp crew took care of every request (like recharging camera batteries) and our guide, Broken, couldn't have been more delightful with his knowledge of nature, sense of humor and excellent driving skills.

Looking back now, I can say that we did well by choosing Xaa Safaris. They kept us safe, secure and well-fed in an unforgiving environment, allowing us to relax and enjoy the uniqueness of the Okavango Delta.

It was part of the Safari adventure that began in Kenya, the arrival
4/5

The arrival was at night and after many hours of flying. Tiredness, and besides I had a problem with inflammation of the Baker's cyst in one knee. What I missed was a little dinner. Since we left very early in the morning I could hardly enjoy the room and the hotel where we were or have a panoramic view of Nairobi. I must add that I am used to a different way of traveling: to be able to see, be, connect with people. Here I realized that everything would go differently. The minibus was a little damaged. And we already had a first incident, which was resolved well.
Philip speaks Spanish well which also facilitated the little interaction with the people in the hotels.
He was always respectful and correct.
I would probably travel with him again, but I will not go on a safari again. Everything I saw was wonderful, but I was missing the other part: moving and being with people, seeing and walking through a market, enjoying the smells and lights for longer, and letting the animals and fauna live peacefully without our footprint.
Thank you Philip and all the colleagues we met during this short stay in Kenya.

An Excellent 5 day tour that I would do again, and again.
5/5

From the moment we started planning, the team was very communicative and very clear with the itinerary. This was a jam-packed but also extremely organized tour. I visited the Danakil Depression, a place I have longed to visit ,and then also visited Lalibela. Kenaw arranged everything - flights, accommodation (and the best).

Thank you again and I look forward to the next trip.

We loved our guide Jack, he's soft, knowledgeable, patient and knows where to go spot game.
5/5

When I visited Kenya, first time in Africa I had a wild experience.

A friend referred me to this team, Brian was very responsive, he was keen to factor my input and advise accordingly. We had a great moment, with great hotel choices with nice staff. We loved our guide Jack, he's soft, knowledgeable, patient and knows where to go spot game. I would go on and on but I'd certainly recommend this team.
