One more off our bucket list and would do it again
5/5

The park is wonderful and we saw lots of every kind of animal there was except a leopard. (we think we saw 2 cubs at quite a distance away but not totally convinced it was leopards). The best part of our 4 days had to be the guide Mr Ker and Chef Mr Hope. They did everything they could to make this Safari memorable, comfortable (there was an unusual cold snap but blankets and rain gear were made available). The food that Hope made using outdoor grill was excellent and with myself being a vegetarian, I was impressed. The huts we stayed in were basic but comfortable with 2 bed, AC and a private bathroom/shower. I think there was good value for the cost ($1755 CDN each for 4 days). The only thing that could have been better was the initial transfer from Johannesburg. We were late getting to pickup spot at the airport because our prearranged pickup from our Airbnb was not give clear instructions as to where to meet the transfer van for Kruger. It worked out in the end as they waited for us. We real enjoyed this experience and would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Exceptional
5/5

We've used Great Safaris twice and have a third safari in June 2025.

In 2012, my son and I went to South Africa and Zimbabwe; the trip was perfect in every way. We were met at the airport, escorted to our hotel, taken on some incredible excursions while in Cape Town (to the peninsula, to Table Mountain, into the wine region). Then, after a quick trip to Victoria Falls, we spent a week or so up there, seeing the Falls, riding elephants, walking with young lions, then a week in a tented camp in Hwange National Park, where our guide Mike gave us an unforgettable experience.

Finally, we went down into South Africa near Kruger to a private game reserve, where we did another 5 days of game drives.

I liked the trip so much that when my childhood love and I got together in 2013, we planned and took the exact same trip again in 2016.

In June 2025 we're using Great Safaris again, but this time to east Africa, to Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania for a 3-week trip.

Great Safaris is exceptional; their attention to detail, their consistent pampering, their itinerary planning, are all world-class. We will always use them for our Africa adventures.

Great and extremely flexibel
5/5

We were not the easiest customers since we had specific choices about our lodges but Edward helped us wonderfully.
He adapted the program to our likings.
It turned out to be a great experience and Edward was even during our trip approachable to adjust some things.
He also warned all lodges to supply me with glutenfree options.

First class from start to finish.
5/5

From the moment they picked us up at the airport to dropping us off a week later, this company was brilliant. Picked up exactly when you were told you would be and the driver/guides were so polite and knowledgeable. During the safari they went above and beyond and made our trip so much better than we expected. We saw the big 5, on our first safari and many more animals than we expected to. Commentary was great and we learned so much, not only about the animals and Kruger but about SA in general.
Even using them as transport to and from restaurants in the evening they were so attentive. Having the desk in reception also made it easy to talk to and find out things from the rep. If we ever go again we wouldn’t go past them.

Stellar !
5/5

I have selected Off2Africa Travel based on reviews read here. Chloe has been up to my very high standards of expectation and is very much like the other reviewers have described her : reactive, courteous, efficient, and more than helpful.

We planned together my safari trip to Botswana (Nov. 2024). 9 nights. 3 camps. 3 nights in each camp. Chloe helped find the best combination of camps at an affordable price.

It was such a wonderful trip !! Just like a dream…

Everything was perfectly planned and went smoothly.

Wonderful planning, wonderful camps, wonderful wildlife, so many sightings… We have more than 5000 pictures. We saw more than 100 lions and baby lions, about 10 leopards and 10 cheetahs… without speaking of the rest…

Just perfect.

Transfers were like a breeze, we never missed a game drive.

Chitabe was definitely the best camp, thanks to Chloe for keeping this as the last one. Truly exceptional. The room (we had one of the refurbished ones), the food, the guide (Tank), the wildlife, all out of this world.

Kwara was second. Beautiful room and very warm staff. The guiding was excellent (Mr T). They now have wifi and aircon during the day.

Lebala was the more rustic camp, but with extraordinary guiding (the famous George) and kindness.

The combination of camps was just perfect.

I can’t tell you how happy we are with this trip.

Thanks again to Chloe for her assistance and great planning.

Unbelievable experience
5/5

Me and my wife booked a 4 days camping safari and had an unbelievable experience.

Our guide Rocky was a very capable and entertaining guide during the trip. We have been in very good and safe hands.

All camp sides and Facilities we have visited have been clean and great.

Our kitchen chef Pius provided us daily at breakfast, lunch and dinner with fantastic food.

Thanks for that trip we will never ever forget.

We come back.

It's just perfect
5/5

The nature was definitely fascinating. We saw a lot of animals we wanted to see. But I really want to emphasize that choosing Suricata was the best idea we had. Our guide Rocky is an expert. He explained a lot about history, Swahili language and cultures and answered all our questions so professionally. Of course he has also a sense of humor. Additionally, we had really good food. We had actually no expectations for camping and the food we will get. But our chef Pius was always with us and provided us really fresh warm food three times a day. I've seen many tourists from the other safari companies. While they are having a lunch box, we always had much better fresh-cooked food every time. I would definitely recommend Suricata!

Great organization with a personal touch
5/5

We had a wonderful campingtour trough Namibia and Botswana for 4 weeks. Varied with beautiful lodges.
We saw all the big animals, more than the big 5. Amazing. All de campsites en lodges had good facilities. We quickly felt at home and safe in each location. All the people were so nice. We did a lot, but also had moments of relaxation. African Trafels has shown us a lot of beautiful places. With a roadbook and much clearer information.
