5/5

I went with my family, the places were amazing, we saw a lot of animals and plants that we can’t see again easily. Our guide was Godfrey, he was perfect, he told us a lot of mantion about Masai, nature and history of Tanzania. Thank you so much.

Best Tour Operator
5/5

Family Leisure Africa was fantastic from beginning to end. Wislay worked within our budget and planned our trip to Maasai Mara really well as we had anticipated. When I required information, he was really helpful and quick to respond to to my inquiries and emails as well. We had the finest guide when we arrived! Evans was fantastic 😊 . I definitely recommend Family Leisure Africa to family and friends! It met our expectations and l believe it will meet yours too.It is the best and affordable as well.

Fantastic week with an even better guide, Francis!
5/5

We booked the 7 day safari which included 2 nights Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, 2 nights Amboseli. It was a great balance of safari days and city days in between. We got so lucky with making friends on the tour including our amazing guide Francis. I will talk more about him below.

Our 2 days in Maasai Mara were incredible. We saw cheetahs, lions, and leopards all up very very close. Elephants that walked right by us. Hippos and crocodiles. A baby animal for everything too. The camp decent but maybe not as comfortable as some would like. Not a big deal for the first nights since you're excited. I think you can ask to upgrade though if you wanted. We did a quick village tour for $10 which was a bit over an hour. It was interesting and fun so I'd say worth it to see how the people there live. They do try to sell you some things at the end and they aren't cheap really but I thought of it as a donation so I bought a club as a souvenir. There were a few things we could do that cost extra over the tour but they were pretty worth it. It might be good to check ahead though to see what is paid and what is extra so you can budget it in.

Nakuru park was a surprisingly great stop too where we got another leopard and lots of rhinos. I think we got a bit lucky but with how they radio each other between the cars it seemed like a great system to find animals that other drivers spotted. We had our evening open so we visited a local school and it was so eye opening of an experience. They need a lot of help here in many places but what some of the leaders are doing for their community is amazing. If you want to check that out look up Soar Kenya on Facebook and look for James Yegon. They can pick you up to show you around if you would like to see things and donate some money to help.

Hells Gate and Amboseli were both very great too and it was nice to change the landscape and see different parts of Kenya. We did a boat ride at Naivasha which was worth it. Lots of hippos! They had ah optional walk for $50 too on the island which was cool but would have been better on the island it was just flooded at the time. Hells Gate bike ride was worth doing I think but a bit tough of a bike in terms of heat and terrain. Just a couple hours total though. Amboseli didn't have the range of animals as Maasai but the elephants were incredible. They were everywhere and had so many babies too. The view of Kilimanjaro was so cool too.

There were some changes to itinerary because of a mix up but we decided to take the changes so that we could stay with Francis. He super personable and knowledgeable, 16 years experience, and we couldn't ask him something he didn't know. We would often say trust in Francis if we parked or went somewhere and it would always pay off with great views and animals. If Francis started ripping down the road we knew something good was coming up! He was flexible with us when we needed (ex. dropped us off at the Tanzania border at the end) and also great to recommend places to go out at night when we were in the city. Your tour guide can make or break your trip and this one made it so much better! Overall this was a great way to see a lot of Kenya in a short time for a fair price. Be okay with plans changing a bit and rolling with the punches and you will have a fantastic experience!

Very good
5/5

We did a tour of Kapama. We stayed at three different lodges in five days. We initially thought it might be rushed but it felt like the perfect time at each location.

Our tour organiser, Ruben, made sure everything was taken care of. All transfers were organised without having to ask. They were even able to easily organise changes to our plans, like different airports and pick up locations/times without any stress.

We really enjoyed our time there and this tour company made the seamless trip that it was.

I’d highly recommend.

He was very nice, and helpful.
5/5

Phillip was our tour operator. He was very nice and accomodating when our plans changed. He gave us the right amount of information without hounding us with information. Sometimes it’s better just to enjoy the moment being in a beautiful place like Namibia.
He did give us lots of insight amount the people, and places within the country. He was always making sure we were well taken care of.

We had two other tour guides join us briefly during the trip and they were both very friendly.

Emilia was our tour organiser, and she did a wonderful job of keeping us updated and helping us organise additions and changes to the trip.

The company seems small but very well organised. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.

This felt a genuine experience to ‘peek behind the curtains and see the real Africa
5/5

We arranged a trip to visit a local mho stead and meet the extended family living there. Harrison, our tour guide was very hospitable and took us on a very interesting tour through the township neighbourhood in which he lived and then into a more remote area to the homestead. He had a good relationship with the family and helped the visit, tour of their property and conversation along. A very revealing experience to western eyes and one which we will remember

Amazing safari
5/5

It was amazing to travel with Big Time Adventures in Tanzania. Nelson planned my safari according to my budget, preferences, and schedule and everything was perfect.
We spent four days in northern Tanzania, visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara National Park. Our guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable about wildlife, Tanzanian history, and local cultures and he was also very funny.
The itinerary was perfect, our vehicle was smooth, the bush lunches and accommodations were excellent.

I highly recommend Big Time Adventures to anyone looking for a safari in Tanzania.

Regular company, excellent service
5/5

The price and itinerary of the travel agency are very reasonable. I participated in a seven-day trip and a four-day trip here. All the staff are very polite, especially Daisy, who has a very good service attitude and always responds promptly. She also gave us two free airport pick-up services. Next time I come to Kenya for vacation, I will still choose this company.

Well-organised, friendly and professional
5/5

I booked a 3-day Bwindi Gorilla tour at the very last minute, on the evening before the trip departure from Kampala.
Kawlaw was super efficient and organised the permits, accomodation, driver etc within a couple of hours. All communication was done via WhatsApp.
Payment had to be made online as their office was already closed for the day. I was hesitant to make online payment via a payment gateway I wasn’t familiar with. However, Kawlaw made an effort to meet up with me to explain about the payment gateway, and it was reassuring to be able to put a face to the name.
Edie, the driver/guide, assigned to us was easy-going and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time with him.
The entire trip went smoothly with no hiccups, which left us able to enjoy the experience with no worries.

We had an epic week observing so many animals!
5/5

We had such a wonderful week seeing so much variety. We saw all the big 5 plus so many other animals including young animals! I was happy to get to see some animals up close! Great communication from our driver Francis and we learned a ton from him! For a budget tour, my expectations were blown out of the water! Schedule was very punctual and that was appreciated. Our guide was very accommodating to our requests, for example a different drop off after the tour. Thank you Francis and jocky tour for everything!
