The tour operator is knowlegeable, punctual and helpful.
We arrived in the middle of the night in Nairobi and they picked us up from the airport and sent us to our hotel even though the hotel stay was not part of the itinerary. Since day 1 of the tour, it was very exciting especially at the Masai Mara National Park. Kudos to our driver cum guide, Anthony, who is very knowledgeable on the wildlife and also with his driving skills. He manages to spot or knew the location of all the big 5 in day 1. He also went out of his way to ensure that we all have a good photo-shoots of most of the animals. He also recommended us the best nyama choma. To those who love off-road, 4x4 land cruiser is recommended. Not forgetting, Bildad, who has been very helpful with communicating with our group leader in arranging the itinerary for us. He also kindly accompanied us to a couple of supermarkets to help with our shopping and also recommended us a nice local restaurant hang-out for dinner. To those thinking of coming to Nairobi for a safari, Super Eagles is the one to go for.

My family and I had an incredible tour with Jocky Tours. They managed everything, from hotel pickup to meals and itinerary organization. Our guide, David, was fantastic—knowledgeable, funny, and attentive to all our questions.
We loved the itinerary, which included Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha. In Maasai Mara, we saw six lions, five cheetahs, leopards, and more. We also visited a Maasai village, we brought sweets for the children and learned about their traditions. Lake Nakuru was a bird lover's paradise with black and white rhinos, while Lake Naivasha offered a fun hippo boat tour.
Hell's Gate surprised us with its moderate hiking and climbing, made enjoyable by our local guide, Simon. The guides truly brought the experience to life!

Our 5 days gorilla and chimpanzee trekking tour with Marvel Gorilla Adventure was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded every expectation! From the stunning landscapes to the incredible wildlife encounters, every moment was unforgettable.
The journey began with an exhilarating chimpanzee trek in Kibale Forest. The excitement of seeing these intelligent creatures in their natural habitat was incredible, and the lush forest surroundings made the trek even more magical. Our guide was knowledgeable, making the experience both educational and thrilling.
Next, we headed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the highly anticipated gorilla trekking. The trek itself was challenging but absolutely worth it. Standing just feet away from a family of mountain gorillas was a profound, awe-inspiring experience. The sheer size and presence of these magnificent animals left us speechless. Marvel Gorilla Adventure’s team made sure we were well-prepared and comfortable throughout the trek, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Throughout the tour, our guide, Herbert, was exceptional. He shared fascinating facts about the wildlife, the environment, and the culture of Uganda. His attention to detail, professionalism, and warm personality made the trip even more special.
The accommodations were top-notch, offering comfort and relaxation after our adventures in the wild. Every lodge we stayed at had breathtaking views, and the food was delicious, offering a true taste of Uganda’s cuisine.

Haunted by the sights
Every moment was a highlight.
While exploring through the wilderness, I saw more than all the number of I've seen throughout in my life in a blink frame of view, and this extraordinary scenarie was deployed for hours of car ride.
Our guide was Malisa, Godson. He was amazing he was one of the big reasons that made this trip amazing. Under his leadership, it took us just a few hours to make all 7 of us friends, even though we came from all over the world and saw each others for the first time.
The chefs food were very nice, and i especially liked the food from the chef from the lodge.
This trip couldve been even more than perfect had the accommodation places controlled insects better.

Considering the budget, the food and accommodation was far beyond expectation. Most of all, the game-drive was so terrific that I could see not just Big5 animals but many different, unique animals in Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I learned a lot of information and history thanks to my friend, operator Malisa.

Akondo Adventures is more a new agency in the wide sea of agencies here in Arusha. When my husband and myself decided to do a Safari in Tanzania (we first stayed a few days in Zanzibar) I was overwhelmed with agencies offering exactly the same tours. We have asked for 3 offers on Safaribooking.com from three different agencies. As it was our first Safari we just wanted to do a 3-day Safari and see as many different regions as possible hence we have chosen the Tarangire Park, Ngorongoro Crater and the Manyara Lake Safari. We received three different offers from three different agencies, I have chosen some more expensive once and some more affordable once. Why we have chosen Akondo adventures was the value of money, the stay during the Safari and the well organized and clear planning. The PDF offer was well done and very clear. Obviously I started to check the reviews about Akondo Adventures at I only could read positive feedbacks especially of Richard our personal guide to be. Anyways for me it was clear that I will go with that Agency as Boris (the owner) was assisting us just brilliantly. The payment was done over Bank transfer which we first were not sure about either but everything was legit. Boris sent us all the flight tickets and everything we needed for our tour. Boris also arranged all wake up and pick up timings from the place we stayed in Zanzibar and made sure we are awake for our trip to Arusha. Everything was well organized from A to B, well done Boris! All the people which took care of us were just warm and caring! Anyways we arrived in Arusha (our flight with Flightlink was a very good flight!!) Boris then welcomed us in Arusha, explained to us how the next three days will look like and handed us over to our guide Richard. What a lovely guy, lots of knowledge, 13years plus as guide in all the parks around Tanzania! What a gem! And he even speaks Spanish and some words in German (my husband is Spanish speaker and myself German speaker). We started in Tarangire Park which we basically have seen all the animals we wanted to see followed by a drive closer to Ngorongoro to our lodge which by the was was just fantastic! That lodge has several chalets (super big!) which you have one for your own just out in the nature looking towards the lake Manyara! Stunning! The staff were just brilliantly beautiful to us! Next day we visited the Crater which was the best day of all three as it was just so beautiful and we even have seen the Rhino! Which is very difficult to see at the moment. Next day we were at lake Manyara which was just beautiful as well! Everything was just mind blowing for us hence the long review for them. Thank you for making these three days unforgettable! Richard, thanks a lot for all your wisdom and knowledge sharing (super cool guide, very you g for his expertise and experience!). Thank you Boris for being so flexible and patient! Wonderful Experience
I did a five days safari from Zanzibar and I can say that my experience was phenomenal. From arrangements to finalization. Our accommodations, transportation,and the guide were all great. Our guide was fully knowledgeable and knew everything about the park and animals. We saw a lot of animals and all the big five, our experience would have never been better if it was not for Mellivora African Travels, we really recommend this company for anyone who wants their experience to be special.
