Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro had always been a dream of mine, and Karis Expeditions made it an incredible reality! I chose the Machame Route for its scenic beauty, and over the course of six unforgettable days.
The journey began with a warm welcome from the Karis Expeditions team. From the first briefing, I felt reassured by their professionalism. The guides were not only highly experienced but also incredibly supportive, motivating us every step of the way. Each day was carefully paced to allow for proper acclimatization.
The highlight, of course, was summit day. Starting at midnight with headlamps lighting the way, we slowly made our way up to Uhuru Peak. The final push was demanding, but standing at the peak of Mt Kilimanjaro as the sun rose was a moment of triumph.
The crew’s dedication made a huge difference. The porters were amazing, carrying our gear with ease and setting up camp long before we arrived. The chef prepared hearty meals that kept us energized throughout the climb—think warm soups, pasta, and even fresh fruits at high altitudes!
My trip with Karis Expedition was the best because they went above and beyond to make the climb safe and unforgettable.

Our chimpanzee, Queen Elizabeth safari, and Bwindi gorilla trekking with Marvel Gorilla Adventure was an experience of a lifetime! From start to finish, the team ensured everything was perfectly organized, allowing us to focus on the incredible sights and experiences Uganda has to offer.
The adventure began in Kibale Forest, where the chimpanzee trekking was thrilling. Watching these intelligent creatures in their natural habitat was fascinating, and the guides were knowledgeable, making the trek both informative and fun.
Next, we headed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we enjoyed exciting game drives and a magical boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The abundance of wildlife—from elephants and lions to hippos and birds—made this part of the trip unforgettable.
The highlight was undoubtedly gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla family was a deeply moving experience we will cherish forever. Marvel Gorilla Adventure’s team prepared us well for the trek, and their passion for conservation added a meaningful layer to the journey.
Our guide, Herbert, was exceptional throughout, ensuring every detail was handled flawlessly. His extensive knowledge and genuine enthusiasm made the trip even more enjoyable. The accommodations were outstanding, offering comfort and stunning views that immersed us in Uganda’s beauty.

A once in a life time journey
Our 6 Days Safari + Zanzibar Beach trip with Karis Expeditions was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, the whole journey was seamless and exciting. The safari was an adventure I’ll never forget. We saw so many animals in their natural habitat, and the guides knew exactly where to go to ensure we didn’t miss anything.
Zanzibar was the perfect way to unwind after the intensity of the safari. The beaches were stunning, and we were able to explore Stone Town, which was a fantastic cultural experience. The resort we stayed at was gorgeous, with great amenities and a relaxing atmosphere.
Karis Expeditions went above and beyond in terms of service, and I felt well taken care of at every step. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a thrilling safari and a beautiful beach vacation combined!
