Review about Zimbabwe by Zimfreak
Despite the political humdrum Zim is a very safe, open, and friendly country!

Review about Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by OurDistantJourney
Fantastic opportunity to see the endangered mountain gorillas. We spent two days here tracking gorillas and both days resulted in different interactions with the animals. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience!

Review about Queen Elizabeth National Park by OurDistantJourney
Beautiful, open park that seemed very authentic with the savanna setting. Took a wonderful sunset cruise on the Kazinga Channel where we saw hippos, elephants, buffalos, and crocodiles, plus many birds, such as fish eagles, storks, pelicans, herons, ducks, swollows and kingfishers. The game drives were rewarding as well.

Review about Lake Mburo National Park by OurDistantJourney
Although Lake Mburo National Park is one of Uganda’s smallest parks we enjoyed the great lake setting and large populations of impala, zebra and buffalo. The highlight for us was a sunset walking tour with a ranger that allowed us to get closer to the animals.

Enriching Kruger Park experiences
Wow - what an experience. With self drives (setting your own pace) or game rangers driving, this was the highlight of our trip. Though we went in early winter (May), some parts in the north still reached 35 degrees Celsius, whereas the southern parts got down to 12 degrees (in the evenings). It was a very wet summer so spotting animal were sometimes difficult, but the camps provided enough details of where to look. Talking about the camps - sleeping in a "rondavel" in the camps is probably the best option, allowing you to see animals at sunrise and sunset (no racing before the gates close). But be warned, allow for at least 5 days to enjoy the full experience of the Kruger.

Review about Pilanesberg Game Reserve by Instinia
We enjoyed the game reserve so close to the "Little Las Vegas" of South Africa. Friendly staff and great to find such a diversity of big animals.

An excellent weekend in the bush to take refuge from the 21st century
On arrival at the main lodge, we were welcomed by the friendly yet professional staff. The park was very active with wildlife including lions, elephants, hundreds of different bird species, baboons, leopards, cheetah and much more! The waterholes were amazing in the evening for those of us patient enough to wait.
Hwange is an excellent place for people of any level of interest in game to really get to grips with the animals in their large natural habitat and is so much more rewarding than seeing crowded animals in small reserves.

Review about Mana Pools National Park by Alexander Bramly
The Zambezi river adds so much to this scenic area and the highlight for me was watching hippos only a few meters away as the sun set.
A place to visit as often as possible
Wildlife - still one of the best in Africa, a huge biodiversity and geological variety, still a good place to be for the self catering enthusiast, some very experienced safari outfits offer various tours by car or on foot, good value for money!
