The team at Tubale Safari exceeded our expectations!
Our 18-day journey with Tubale Safari through Uganda was everything we hoped for and more. We were immersed in the beauty and diversity of Uganda’s landscapes, wildlife, and culture with numerous game drives and activities that provided a fresh perspective at each location. Traveling in the low season was a huge plus; we enjoyed having many stunning places nearly to ourselves.
The experience was not only unforgettable but also fantastic value for money. After meeting other travelers with similar itineraries who paid significantly more with different companies, we realized how fortunate we were! Tubale Safari offered better accommodations and an outstanding guide!
Our favorite moments included the enchanting encounter with the golden monkeys and a peaceful walking tour near Lake Mburo, which allowed us to connect with Uganda’s nature up close. While there were long drives to Kidepo National Park and the Batwa/Pygmy community visit felt a bit unnatural (not Tubale's fault), these were minor points in an otherwise extraordinary trip.
The team at Tubale Safari exceeded our expectations, and we enthusiastically recommend them to anyone seeking an authentic, well-organized Ugandan adventure!

A challenging but beautiful Mount Meru hike
We organized a 4-day Mount Meru trek with Safari Soles, including a briefing day and three days of hiking. Overall, our experience was positive, and Patrick’s communication made planning easy. Our guide, Antipas, provided a clear and thorough briefing, and we could rent any extra equipment on-site, though some rented items weren’t as clean as we’d hoped. The hike itself offered incredible scenery, with diverse landscapes changing as we ascended, and we were lucky with the weather—just a bit of rain on our descent.
The accommodations were comfortable, with a nice lodge the first night and private four-bed rooms in each hut along the trail. We were also provided with a private chef, and the meals were consistently warm, tasty, and energizing—truly appreciated after each day’s hike! The first day’s route was very manageable, with the second day a bit more challenging. Our guides were supportive, friendly, and spoke English well, helping us at every step.
For future trekkers, we’d recommend considering a four-day hike (rather than three) to make the summit attempt more comfortable. Our schedule required us to either summit just after arriving at the second hut or start at midnight, leaving little time to rest. An additional day would allow for better acclimatization at 3,500 meters. In our case, two group members felt mild altitude sickness above 4,300 meters, but our guides ensured we descended safely, despite the challenging descent in the dark.
For context, we were a group of four 30-year-olds in good shape with low to moderate hiking experience. We suggest discussing your fitness level, trip expectations, and each day’s route (including altitude, distance, and hours of hiking) with Safari Soles to ensure a well-suited itinerary for the best experience possible.

Knowledgeable, professional and flexible
The very best in Tanzania! I requested a custom tour with a very specific itinerary and Snowcap delivered and exceeded my expectations.
Their guides and porters are true professionals. I don't know if I would have made it to the summit of Kilimanjaro without the wisdom and encouragement of my guide. Likewise, my driver/guide for the safari was knowledgeable, fun and eagle-eyed.
The cooks were incredible. Bring an appetite! Every meal was a treat and I was always surprised at the high quality they were able to produce at a primitive camp.
These are good people offering an unparalleled experience at a fair price. Highly recommended!

Avoid
I’m genuinely shocked and extremely disappointed by the experience I had with this agency. After investing significant time and effort to meticulously plan my dream trip to Africa, inspired by their own YouTube content, I approached this company hoping they would bring their expertise to finalize the details. Instead, I received a curt response implying that my carefully crafted itinerary was being “shopped around” to other operators – which could not be further from the truth. I had chosen to work with them based solely on the trust and credibility I thought they projected.
This response was not only unprofessional but also deeply unfair. As a client eager to experience Africa through the unique lens they claimed to provide, I felt dismissed and undervalued. Their unwillingness to work with someone who did the research and put in genuine effort was incredibly disappointing.
If you’re considering working with this company, think twice. They may appear helpful in their marketing, but my experience left me questioning their actual commitment to customer service and collaboration. A truly reputable agency should respect the enthusiasm and effort of its clients, not dismiss them with baseless assumptions.

Reliable and affordable safari
The 4-day safari to Maasai Mara and Nakuru was well organised and affordable. We had an evening game drive and a full-day one in the Mara, as well as a morning game drive at Nakuru lake park.
Mr Evans is a very experienced safari guide and he was able to take the group to see all the Big Nine across the Mara. Evans is also a very careful driver on unpaved roads. His guiding surely made a difference to our trip. Big thanks go to Evans.
The Sankale tented camp at Ololaimutiek made for some nature immersion while providing all required facilities including private toilets and hot water. The Buraha Zenoni hotel in Nakuru with its swimming pool and rooftop bar and restaurant made for some good relaxation and great service.
All in all a great outdoor experience to see wildlife and countryside Kenya.

Great safari experience with Serengeti Smile
We had a fantastic safari experience with Serengeti Smile, and we highly recommend them! From the start, Jeremiah was incredibly responsive and helpful, answering all our questions promptly. The accommodations chosen were clean, comfortable, and convenient, and we enjoyed the food, especially the hot dinners. Lunch varied depending on the previous night’s location, but most were great. On our first day, we encountered an issue with dietary restrictions, but Jeremiah addressed it right away, which we appreciated.
Our driver, Emmanuel, was friendly, spoke English well, and was impressively skilled at finding prime spots for animal sightings. The vehicle was reliable, and the entire itinerary ran smoothly. Thanks to Serengeti Smile, we had a memorable and seamless safari experience.
Highly recommended!

HE IS PERFECT <3
I had the pleasure of joining HERMAN for an incredible tour in the Serengeti, and I couldn't have asked for a better guide! From start to finish, every detail was perfectly organized, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the landscape and the thrill of the wildlife. HERMAN has an impressive knowledge of the animals, plants, and the Serengeti's rich history, which made the experience both educational and awe-inspiring. They were attentive to our needs, always ensuring we were comfortable and safe.
The highlight was their knack for spotting animals we would have easily missed, making our safari truly memorable. If you're looking for a guide who is professional, passionate, and knowledgeable, I highly recommend HERMAN for a top-tier Serengeti adventure

Decent budget operator, out of the world game drive experience
The experience of booking with Charity was excellent with superb support and coordination for customisation to our needs, online payment and documentation. There was a slight error on pricing which she honestly admitted. During the actual tour, the office seemed very deserted, and we didn't have adequate facilities to freshen up as we reached it from airport. Though we had booked midrange tour, we were packed with a bunch of budget traveler, so every time they driver had to pick up and drop from different hotels. On one of the nights in Amboseli, we were told the place was overbooked and were put up in an absolutely pathetic dormitory which was unacceptable and no refund was given. The Kenya experience itself was wonderful and the driver was brilliant during the game rides. The group of co-travellers were nice company. The quality of hotels was great in Mara and Naivasha, but average in Nakuru and pathetic in Amboseli for one night. The next night was good as the tented accommodation was nice. The food was great at Mara and Naivasha. We had some local delicacies at Nakuru. Amboseli was average and crowded. Overall, an average operator that promised more than it delivered. The Kenya national park and game drive experience in all the destinations compensated for everything else so to speak.

Unparalleled local knowledge combined with thorough professionalism
We used Chloe Cottrell from OFF 2 AFRICA for our second safari trip to Africa. She is a resident of Victoria Falls and her local knowledge made for an amazing month of travel and safaris.
When I first began to speak with her, I explained that we had been to Sabi Sabi in May of 2023 and wanted even more adventure. She suggested Hwange and Mana Pools in September or October. When I pressed her more on why there and at that time her response was “it’s just intense because the animals are desperate for water.” She was not kidding!!
The game viewing at all our locations was jaw dropping. From over a hundred elephants from six different herds gathering in one water hole at the same time to Freddie, a full-grown elephant who stands on his hind legs to reach the tree branches he wants to dine on to lions outside our tent and elephants drinking from the pool. It goes on and on.
I trusted her recommendations and it paid off with unforgettable safaris. Beyond that from the time we were met in Johannesburg airport until we were dropped off 25 days later everything she planned went off without a hitch. I also liked her method of billing which showed all the details along with the individual pricing. Chloe is very responsive in her communications and I found here to be totally honest in all aspects of our working together.
Chloe, thank you for planning this trip of a lifetime.

The Best Uganda Operator
From my first contact to saying goodbye, Frank was always professional and friendly.
Every aspect of the tour was well thought through and executed. The hotels were of a high standard, and I especially appreciated his approach of supporting local communities. Especially Lake Muhele Lodge was a highlight.
The vehicles were always clean and comfortable and the distances we'll thought through.
I can highly recommend Frank Tours for your trip. I am more than satisfied with the services he offered.
