Great!
4/5

Truly professional and helpful guides combined with great hotels, with our agent Kathi always willing to answer any questions we might had, including last minute questions about drones and whether a fleece and windbreaker would be sufficient since it wasn't listed in the general information for winter travelling. For faster answers, call or ask to add agents on whatsapp, which Kathi suggested for quicker information exchange!

If experiences were a meal, this one had plenty of entrees yet left me wishing for second helpings
4/5

Generally the opportunity to visit the wilds of Tanzania to see the wild life was all that I had expected. The accommodations were excellent. Staff in all locations were so attentive and went beyond the call to see to it that all needs were met.
The down side was wishing we could have spent more time in some locations to get to know the people and culture better. For example, we ended our trip with a one night visit to the Masaai Lodge. The one night stay was due to limited availability, I know. However, this was a great place with much to offer to learn more about the setting and people."Not enough" isn't really a complaint.

Awesome safari, with afterwards an ok stay at Zanzibar
4/5

We went for a 6 day safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater. Aferwards, we stayed at Zanzibar for about 6 nights.

We had an awesome safari with Shemeji! Our guide Harun and cook Isaack were both excellent at their jobs. Harun drove perfectly, told us a lot about the parks we went too and the animals we saw, put us (the customer) as his first priority (he stopped everywhere we wanted), has a very good sence of humor, is excellent English speaking (also very important!). Just. Awesome. Isaack was able to cook anything, breakfasts where good, lunches always nice and the evening dinner delicious. And the hamburger on the last day with some fries, yum. He was also a very cool guy, had a very good sence of humor, also excellent English speaking and always helpful. The parks were very beautiful, the animals so awesome and Harun and Isaack very cool guys. We wouldn't miss this trip for the world and thank them once more for the amazing safari!

However, the Green Mountain Hotel (overnight stay at Arusha) was ok. Don't expect luxury, just basics. Our time at Zanzibar was also very nice. Beautiful white beaches and a very blue sea. Mbuyuni Beach Village had lots of places to hangout and the lunch / dinner menu was always different. However, don't expect luxury here also, but just the basics. Some things could be much better, like the bed, sheets and some other things. The personnel however was always friendly, helpful and fun. Unfortunately, the same music is played every night and the food isn't always that good.

So, overall we had a good experience with Shemeji. The safari was awesome, our stay at the hotels ok. I would recommend Shemeji (and especially Harun and Isaack) to anyone! However, maybe choose your own hotels when you need some more luxury. Otherwise, these ones are just fine. Shemeji, thanks once more!

well organized and given africa no glitches.
4/5

Journeys makes sure your trip is well organized with no glitches. Given the complicated transportation system of getting in and out of game parks its amazing how well organized they are. they also have a deep understanding of all where to stay and given your interests recommendations that might be slightly different that the most well known parks.

meru slopes is reliable and offers fair prices.
4/5

The communication was verry good. Via whatsapp you'll get immediately a respons from geoffrey, this works good. In overal I had a good safari, we've seen a lot of animals en the food was great. The only negative thing was the guide. He was not very interactive with us and he didn't give any information about the animals we saw. It was more like: "look there a lion!" . And in the end We had to pay to much for the tips. The guid told us to give him 40 dollar and the cook also 40 dollar. That was 80 dollar tips for a couple. But Overal I had a great tour and meru slopes arranged it really good,.

Unforgettable safari
4/5

We were a Danish family consisting of 6 persons aged from 13 to 68 years. We were put together with 2 persons more, so we were 8 passengers. We had an extraordinary, fantastic experience in Masai Mara - we succeeded in meeting lots of different animals including the big 5 (except the rhino). We had a very dedicated and well-informed driver/guide, mr. Obama himself, who contributed to a high spirit in the vehicle and in the evening. Rachel Obonyo from the company was always very helpful and attentive. We loved the camp. It was simple but charming and the food was excellent.

We went there for a gamedrive with ranger Sam and he was very determined to let us see the beauty of the park and all the wildlife. We were looking for the Leopard and he didn't stop until he had find one. Beatiful spots in a very beatiful landscape

Good experience
4/5

Overall the trip was very good but the driver was not good. He did not talk about what we we looking at. He was definitely not a guide, only a driver. Besides this he smelled awful wherefore we all hated sitting in the front passenger seat.
With regards to the trip itself, sailing on the Rufiji River was absolutely fantastic. Spending time at Hippo Camp and experiencing Seleous Game Reserve was amazing. But Mikumi National Park was very disappointing as the national park was being burnt on purpose which meant that most of the animals were gone. Mercury Tour and Safari knew this but still took us there.
