You'll be able to see an amazing variety of wildlife from the river, and the views from the top of the falls are beautiful. I camped near by and left during sunrise, one of the most beautiful sunrises i ever saw.

Wildlife is still recovering but you can see some rare species like Sable and Roan. It is largely dry and rather boring away from the river but truly vast and wild.

Strange and remote area, truly wild. Not much to see however unless you fly into the expensive wilderness camp.

Beautiful plateau and beautiful views. Wildlife is unremarkable though one can see quite a lot.

The most varied birdlife in the country, wildlife is growing -one can expect to see large herds of Buffalo. Quite small but you will feel alone and undisturbed in the wilderness.

South Africa made a deep impression, thanks to Mokala National Park.

Late at night, driving into Mokala National Park, in complete darkness, car lights dimmed, engine in low gear, I encountered for the very first time the majestic kudu.

He looked at us. His gaze focused, his ears cautious. I stopped the engine, convinced that this was a very fragile moment. But he didn’t move. He had a torso like a warrior, and mighty DNA-shaped antlers like very elegant weapons.

The presence of this kudu at this moment with the unique setting of the Mokala National Park was arguably one of the most impressive events in my life. I came eye to eye with a charismatic majesty having an overwhelming dignity, motionless openness, deep silence and ultimate self-control. It was at the Mokala National Park that I discovered the impressive beauty of all animals on this planet.

Furthermore, Mokala NP was an unforgettable experience thanks to the wonderfully friendly and welcoming staff, who made us feel at home rightaway. The rooms were beautiful in their simplicity. I would love to go back there one day.

We enjoyed our stay in North Luangwa very much. We only stayed for two nights, but with the help of our great guides from Delia Camp, we tracked down a lion pride, elephants and two leopards on a single nightdrive.

North Luangwa seems undiscovered by mass tourism, but already features nice camps with friendly and helpful staff.

I´ll come back for sure!

Review about Ruaha National Park by Nigel
Overall rating
4/5

One of the best things about Ruaha when I visited was that you felt as if you were the only people there - in contrast to the better-known parks, where there were always crowds of vehicles around anything interesting. There was a great variety of wildlife, although we weren't all that successful with seeing the big cats.

quite nice

Generally, a very nice experience. But I would strongly suggest that one needs to go there with a local guide, otherwise you can easily miss things.
A walk to the waterfall is a must - but please make sure that you have a hat, plenty of water and are actually able to climb back onto the hill. Most importantly, always follow what the ranger says - and do not go there without him.

Review about Tarangire National Park by JerseyMolly

There are huge baobab trees at Tarangire! We got really close to some marabu storks. Saw a lioness hunt, but she was too far away.
