Exceptional , well informed , engaging and dependable
5/5

Viega Expeditions lived up to its promise of being excellent value for money and budget friendly indeed ! In the planning phase I was initially a little apprehensive as I didn't know what to expect from this relatively new company with little by way of reviews on the website but I was fully reassured by the prompt communication at every step of the way . Lincoln's our contact man and Agent was very accommodating and addressed any and all concerns with due attention . Our tour guide David was just exceptional and immediately made us feel in safe and knowledgeable hands . The long drive from Nairobi was pleasurable with the stops perfectly timed to break up the journey - The Great Right Valley stop just after leaving Nairobi was perfect for pics and early souvenirs ; and Our drive into The Mara on the first day gave us a peak preview of the wonders to come in the days ahead . We wasted no time that same evening going out for our first game hunt and were well rewarded sighting a cheetah , lion , giraffes and elephants on our very first trip out ! The subsequent 3 days were a whirlwind of animal sightings including all of the Big 5 with exception of the Rhino , but the rest more than made up for it . The accommodation at The Jambo Lodge was modest but clean , comfortable and a good array of food that was very nice . Relaxing in the evenings poolside and playing ping pong and enjoying the pool table ( snooker ) in the main lobby area was just perfect end to the days activities . We felt very safe with the Lodge attendants and night guards in the background quietly outside our cabins adding to the sense of security . We enjoyed the bonus evening of a visit arranged by David ( our tour guide ) to venture to The Masai Village one of the final days and had a wonderful experience learning about The Masai Culture and how they live etc ending with a lovely walk back to the Lodge through the jungle catching the African Sunset in its full glory . An enriching experience for my 2 teenage children , their 3 year old cousin and us adults too . We were sad to have the trip at and end after the 4 days but we all had a memorable Safari vacation and I would go back in a heartbeat ! In short it was a trip of a lifetime with lots of pics and memories to remind us . Hats off to Viega tours and a special thanks to David .. the best tour guide in the World as we all agreed !!

Great experience
5/5

We had a 4 days safari tour. It included the Tarangire, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. The booking was easy and you can easily do changes before the tour.
Our tour guide Emma was very kind. He showed us everything and if we saw something no matter it was, we stopped and had time to look around.
We had together a good communication and he gave us the opportunities to make small changes every day about time or things we wanted to see. He was as well very punctual. We not. So, he waited a lot because of us.
Everything was overall well organised. The food, the hotel and the camping ground were every day excellent.
We can definitely recommend to book a safari tour here especially with Emma. He was a great guide.

The best customer support and real local experience!
5/5

After having checked and been in contact with several operators, East Africa had one of the best 2 proposals (apologies to the other operator, had to pick one...) and was clearly the best one in terms of value-for-money. Great options (for all budgets - personally went for medium to premium) in terms of accomodation, reasonably modest car but perfectly good enough (and more authentic I'd argue) for a 5-day safari. Had a private tour with Kizito (the most wonderful guide and driver), having literally done everything (off-road safari, road safari, lake viewing, lake boat trip, walking safari) and seen all the animals (...) one might expect on a Kenyan safari experience. On top of this Fred, the permanently available touch point, was outstanding at recommending options and sharing advice (even if not tour related). It's, of course, possible to go for a more luxurious experience with another company, but I personally found this one to be a great choice and would most definitely recommend them. Good safaris fellow travellers!

Saimon was a great guide. We did 3 days in tents (a bit cold if not prepared), 24 h in Serengeti. A lot of nice food included. Expected tip 10$ pp and day. A memorie for life. I usually prefere more activity when travelling, but just standing and watching the savannah was amazing. Soo many animals. Not car crowded at all, compared to other safaris I’ve attended.

Wonderfull days in pole pole way

Some advise first. Do it slow, don't rush. Take more days and enjoy. We did. We choose 4 days safari. We had enough time to rest after flight, visit Masai village, take a game drive and finally hike in Udzungwa mountains.

We had very good contact with Daudi - the tour operator - all the time. Many weeks before we discussed tour details on WhatsApp and finally everything was as agreed.

Asante bibi staff is very caring. We felt safe all the time. Abel was our guide on safari. He is very experienced and game drive was great experience.

Atupele camp is very nice place just like their staff. It takes 15-20 minutes to reach mikumi park main entrance.

We don't want to go to Sanje waterfalls so Daudi suggested easiest alternative Chizua waterfalls. It was great. Margareth was our guide on that day. My wife had a problem with her leg so Abel also joined us. Once again we felt very safe.

The most unique part of tour was train. It was genius idea. In 1h and 40 minutes you get from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro. It is very comfortable and very good alternative for car drive.

We highly recommend taking safari and other tour with Asante bibi tours. The price was very affordable and it was very good value for money. They are flexible and can adopt to your requirements.

A genuinely nice person who's very patient and knowledgeable

Ibra is such a great guide. He's a hard worker and is very patient. He is such a good natured guy that I've kept in touch with him ever since he took me for a tour in 2019. He drove me around all of Uganda, pointed out all the plants and animals and organised some great places for us to stop and stay. Highly recommended!

Review of My 10-Day Safari with Voyage Balquees
5/5

My 10-day safari in Uganda with Voyage Balquees was unforgettable! From tracking gorillas in Bwindi to exploring Murchison Falls and cruising the Nile, every moment was incredible. The guides were professional, the accommodations were comfortable, and the wildlife encounters were beyond my expectations.

Voyage Balquees made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. I highly recommend them for anyone planning a safari adventure in Uganda!

Thoughtful, thorough, responsive, and great organization of trip.
5/5

Organized a 10 day trip to Cape Town and a safari with Discover Africa. Fabulous experience with the travel, transportation, the tours, the safari, and give full credit to Chrizaan at Discover Africa with doing an outstanding job.

Spent a fair amount of time evaluating different tour organizers, largely using reviews such as this to identify good ones, and hopefully avoid working with less reputable companies. I rarely write reviews, but want to recommend people in a similar situation to strongly consider working with Discover Africa, especially if the rest of their company is staffed with people like Chrizaan. Collectively, we established timing, budget targets, and experiences. She provide suggestions for 4 days in Cape Town and recommendations for the type of safari experience I wanted (family of 5, all adult children). Even with a 7 hour time difference, communication was prompt, questions and details answered, and her suggestions were perfect. Our family had a fabulous time (Cape Town, Jock Safari Lodge) and would return in a heartbeat. I would not even consider using any other travel advisor.

This was our umpteenth trip to South Africa and it did not disappoint. We were recommended a place to stay in Nelspruit by our Tour company - Kruger Flexi Tours - and enjoyed a luxurious night at Beetleloop Guest house before being picked up before dawn by Dave Busschau from Kruger Flexi Tours in an open safari vehicle. We were soon in the Kruger National Game park and within 2 hours Dave had helped us spot four of the big five and many beautiful birds and other smaller animals. Following further game viewing we arrived at our camp of Lower Sabie which was extremely hot and humid. Despite the heat our exciting and knowledgeable guide made us a braai (bbq) which was delicious. A night drive followed with further amazing wildlife to enjoy! Further game driving the following day all the way to Sabi Sands, a private game park. Here we spent 24 luxurious hours being spoilt rotten and entertained with the most amazing time enjoying the big cats. The amazing Dave Busschau drove us back to Nelspruit the following afternoon. South Africa is one of the best destinations for wildlife, scenery and culture.

About: Kenya
Magical scenery and lovely people

5/5

We loved our trip to Kenya. We landed in Mombasa, and took the train to Voi for the parks. The train station was modern (but it took some time to enter as there are multiple security checks with long lines), trains were very clean, comfortable and on time! The safari itself was amazing!! The animals, the scenery, the lovely weather, everything was on point. The hotels as well were great.
People were friendly, and very willing to help!
The food was good, with a lot of Indian influences.
