Excellent customer service
4/5

Tour from 21/10 to 27/10. We were picked up on time from the hotel. Safari 4X4 also departed full on time. Our driver and guide Benson Masai of origin made out safari memorable. He knows how to be always first on scene after spotting an event in Masai Mara. He is very client oriented just like Tegu tours and safari office. I will totally recommend Tegu tours . Time logistics and customer satisfaction are their top priority which I love very much. We took mid-range tour. If you can, ask always for the guide Benson and trust me you will have the best safaris ever

The Great!
5/5

Great organization, everything went 100% smoothly and was super informative thanks to not just a driver and guide, but a fan of wildlife and the region! You find yourself in a lost world where nature reigns supreme, you're a guest, the animals don't even pay attention to you, it was an incredible experience. It's not boring at all, it's active, beautiful, and delicious. The lodges were selected very well.

Best Guide Possible in Lalibela
5/5

Our tour with Ayaliwu was arranged by our travel agent in Addis, and we could not have been better pleased. This guide was able to provide detailed information the history of the Rock-cut churches, the symbolic significance of architectural features, and also to field questions about unrelated matters, like the crops being grown. He was also very solicitous of our physical capabilities and always found places for us to sit. Ayaliwu ‘s English, too, is easily understood.

Good People, Amazing Experiences, Great Company!
5/5

My husband & I went with New Horizon Safaris for an Ibyiwacu Cultural Village Experience at the Gorilla Guardians Village and a Chimp Trek in Nyungwe National Park. It was the best-priced safari I found in our extensive search for these two activities.

Nshuti was our point of contact for coordinating our personalized, 3-day tour with them, and he was very responsive to my e-mails. He was also very open and accommodating, helping us tailor a tour just for us that fit our interests and budget.

Nshuti was also our tour guide and driver for the Cultural Village Experience. He was personable and patient, even teaching us some words in the native language of Rwanda and sharing much knowledge of the people and places he took us to. We really enjoyed our time with Nshuti.

Just a note...it can be loud in the car due to the noises of traffic, so just ask the drivers to speak louder if needed.

If you love indigenous people and their cultures, the Gorilla Guardians Village is a great experience and a worthy cause to support. You learn about the inspiring transformation of the native people from gorilla poachers to gorilla guardians. There are also many hands-on activities to try out. We had a blast trying on the clothing, getting pictures, helping to grind the grain, dancing, and even drumming! Jen was our tour guide inside the village, and she was sweet, knowledgeable and spoke English well.

Yuhi was the driver for our 2-day chimp trek safari. He was right on schedule for our pickup and literally went the extra mile---many extra miles--for us when we needed. It was an educational experience and honor to get to know Yuhi and his life experiences.

The chimp trek was amazing even though some of the terrain was rough. It was awesome to watch the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. We were lucky to find the chimps relatively quickly, and the guides were patient as we observed them, answering any questions we had. There are also porters available for hire during the hike. This is a separate fee, so bring cash if you can. The porters make the trek much easier by carrying bags, freeing up your hands for balance, and providing walking sticks and a helping hand to steady you or pull you up. Peter was our helper, and he was very thoughtful and attentive, making sure to be right there next to us whenever we needed help navigating the steps and muddy hill.

* Important Note: Most companies and individuals will accept American money. However, the Rwandan government does not acknowledge the value of U.S. bills that are older and have markings or tears, so please screen the bills you take and make sure you ask the company what year is the cutoff, so the money you bring is usable. Cash can be ideal for paying for tours and tipping.

The first vehicle we took was older, but the second vehicle was newer and cleaner. Also, my husband and I try to stay well-hydrated, so we needed a lot of water. Just ask, and they will provide you with the clean, bottled water you need.

We definitely recommend New Horizon Safaris, Nshuti, and Yuhi for those who want to see some of the highlights of the very clean and beautiful country of Rwanda! We felt very blessed to experience the remarkable creatures and people there.

Unforgettable Safari with Silver Africa Tours & Safaris
5/5

Our safari with Silver Africa Tours & Safaris was an incredible, well-organized journey through Kenya and Tanzania. From our midnight airport pickup to the final send-off, everything ran seamlessly thanks to Alois and his excellent team.

We stayed at several beautiful Elewana Collection camps and lodges, each offering warm hospitality, great food, and thoughtful touches. The chefs went out of their way to check on us and even prepared special dishes tailored to our preferences, a lovely personal touch that made each stay memorable.

In Masai Mara, Joel and Anthony were outstanding guides, knowledgeable, patient, and passionate, ensuring we saw the Big Five and enjoyed every game drive. In Serengeti, Moses and John impressed us with their skill and dedication, leading us to the perfect spot to witness the breathtaking Great Migration crossings.

Under normal circumstances, you’d expect any reputable operator to deliver professional service for the cost of such a tour - but what stood out was Silver Africa’s exceptional commitment during Tanzania’s political unrest. Alois remained in close contact and with local drivers Choz and Charles, they went above and beyond to ensure our safety and peace of mind despite the communication blackout, while the local coordinator was absent.

Their dedication turned a period of uncertainty into one of reassurance and calm. Silver Africa exceeded expectations and delivered a once-in-a-lifetime experience we’ll always remember.

About: Tanzania
Vast country, vibrant, wild and with nice people despite their struggles

First safari ever for us.

The tour operator provided us with a wonderful guide (Telly). Spoke english and french. Excellent spoter and last, highly knowledgable about the fauna. This makes a big difference.

We could not imagine how crowded it should be during the high season. For those who read these lines: avoid the high season..and the rainy season. (but not too bad).

Zimbabwe has a lot to offer. While there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy wildlife, there is much more. Two highlights were Great Zimbabwe and the bushman rock paintings in Matopo.

Brenda was very responsive and committed to getting us exactly what we wanted.
5/5

From the first email (before we committed) Brenda was responsive. She informed us of what to expect and bring. Once in Tanzania, she was willing to make an adjustment to the schedule to include a museum we hadn’t planned beforehand. Every step of the way we were extremely well taken care of.
I also really appreciate Tanzania Choice using reusable bottles and containers for water and food.

Professional operator with all included!
5/5

Great Communication, very professional. Had to change from 7 to 6 people after deposits was paid but they deduected the extra payment from the remained.

Very happy with our tour guide, Emanuel, he had good knowledge about the animals, was very friendly, professional and a safe driver(!).

Food on the tour was great! Proper meals every time, also the lunches. Alot of operators only has a simple lunch box.

All lodges were nice, and to be honest I think the tented camp in Serengeti «Harmony lodge» was a real highlight! Looks brand new and super friendly personel. Sleep with tousands of animals just outside the camp. 10/10. Super clean with a hot shower.

Also the Suricata Boma lodge is a good one, really nice pool area, great bungalows and restaurant. Feels like a 4 star hotel

We were a group of six norwegians. I’ll do it again in a short time for sure.
