Review about Mikumi National Park by Allan
The problem at Mikumi is that it's easily accessible by road and attracts lots of tourists. It's often difficult to span the horizon without seeing another tourist vehicle. If you spot lions, you'll soon be surrounded by at least another ten vehicles as all the guides/drivers talk to each other by mobile.

Incredible beautiful country, easy to fall in love 🥰! Over all my expectations!
I have heard about Namibia as Africa for new beginners. It must be truth. I’ve never been in Africa before, so it was right place to start.
We have contacted Tour operator, and they adjusted our trip to our budget and desire.
At airport in Windhoek we were met by friendly and professional personnel, they were very effective at all services from visas to car rental. From the first accommodation we’ve got excellent service, huge rooms at every lodge we stayed, good food and friendly and polite personnel. June is vinter time in Namibia, and night temperature dropped down to 2-3 degrees C. It was heating in almost every lodge we stayed, warm water in the shower, clean rooms and tents and even European power outlets.
Most of the places like gas stations, restaurants, safari operators and lodges used credit cards terminals.
About nature and wildlife. The nature in Namibia varies a lot from the dead desert to sunlit savannah with green trees. Damaraland is completely different with red mountains. Namibia is a big country with just three million inhabitants. Distance between destinations are quite long, and there is a lot of space for everyone. Tourist attractions don’t feel crowded. The most tourist we met was in Swakopmund and Sossusvlei.
Etosha national park has variety of wildlife. There were animals roaming just outside lodges. Every lodge offers guided safaris with very knowledgeable guides . I wish we could stay longer in Etosha, I would book more guided safaris. My advice to book in advance. Evening and whole day safaris are best, you get best light in evening, and guide will take you to some special places for wildlife watching. Everything is well organised, clean toilets at all tourist destinations, good parking facilities. This country is much cleaner than we used to here in Europe! Of course it’s Africa and country is not rich, so we have seen poor villages filled with rubbish too. We talked to locals, they were poor, but friendly and polite. Give them food and water if you have, maybe some clothes.
Nature in Namibia is just fantastic with landscapes just out of this world! It’s impossible to describe! It’s better to see!
Roads very from very good standard to very poor quality, especially in Damaraland. But we loved to drive on gravel roads, it was not boring and you can see a lot of surrounding countryside. Our advice: rent a bigger 4WD car, so you can stay on the road stable.
All 16 days we were staying in Namibia, the weather was fine. Just sunny, but Swakopmund was foggy and wet. Cold winds from Atlantic brought waves and humidity. This is the only place we had unfortunately accommodation without heating, we wouldn’t stay there again. So bring with you some warm clothes, light down jacket and pyjamas, as it can be cold in tent lodge at night. As soon sun comes up, it’ll get warm.
By conclusion: we loved Namibia so much, that we’re already planning to come back to Namibia❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

The towns are scruffy, the traffic is chaotic but the scenery & wildlife more than make up for it
The Tanzanians themselves use an accurate Swahili term - "pole, pole" meaning slowly, slowly. The people are friendly and helpful. The hotels/lodges are of a reasonably high standard and you can usually get hot water (unlike Uganda). The proliferation of motorcycles makes the traffic crowded and unpredictable - you just need to remember this when crossing the road. For the same reason journey times can be longer than the distance would suggest. If the travel is on unmade roads (as most of them will be), the travel time increases proportionately. I went early in the dry season and the daytime temperature hovered around 24-28 degrees C. The exception is climbing Kilimanjaro, where temperatures drop substantially the higher you go. Once above cloud level, despite the lower temperature the sunshine will cause burning unless you've taken enough sun cream.
The scenery in Tanzania is magnificent, despite the littering from locals. Wildlife abounds and you'll certainly see most of what you expect to see. You may see all the "big five" with the exception of rhino. Leopards are less likely to be seen but I was lucky enough to see two. This applies to the National Parks. Outside of these, wildlife is more scarce. Costs vary but you are better off booking safaris with companies from Tanzania on the internet, rather than using companies in your home country who will use the same safari providers but after applying their mark-up.
Costs in Tanzania are relatively low but the more westernised the company you use, the more expensive it will be. In larger towns, you'll regularly be approached by locals who adopt the same approach - Hello, where you from? They may then try to sell you something which becomes trying after you've already rejected this approach by ten other people, but it's just a matter of grinning and bearing it.

Touring with Nelson was indeed spectacular
I am a solo traveler, but I was part of a tour group, mainly for gorilla trekking, and used *Ngorongoro Tours*. Nelson was our tour guide and we could not have had a better person. He was very supportive and knowledgeable.
All accommodations, trekking, game drives - all well organized making the experience relaxing and enjoyable. The chimpanzees and gorilla encounters were unforgettable.
Nelson did a fantastic job in providing options and suggestions for the group to have a wonderful experience. He even provided an extra night game drive to see if we could catch more animals in the wild.
He provided us an extraordinarily and memorable experience in every step of the way.
*I Highly recommend Ngorongoro Tours* for anyone looking for a wonderful and worry-free African Tour.
Touring with *Ngorongoro Tours* was truly incredible and all thanks to Nelson who was knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating, and very welcoming.
Perfect organization, great accommodations. 100% recommend *Ngorongoro Tours* for a worry-free African adventure!

Sospeter's expertise and passion turned an amazing safari into an unforgettable adventure.
Epic. Our African safari with Eliteways Travel exceeded every expectation and was one of the best family vacations we've ever taken.
From the beginning, Eliteway worked with us to create a custom itinerary that was perfect for our family. We visited four incredible national parks, spent time in Nairobi at both the beginning and end of the trip, experienced a breathtaking sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Maasai Mara followed by a champagne brunch, and were fortunate enough to see the Big Five. Every accommodation was excellent and offered tremendous value.
What truly made the trip unforgettable was having a dedicated guide for our family throughout the entire week. Sospeter was exceptional—knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in making every day special. By the end of the trip, he felt like an extension of our family, and we've stayed in touch ever since.
If you're considering a safari in Kenya, I can't recommend Eliteway highly enough. They delivered an unforgettable experience that our family will treasure for a lifetime.

Experience of a lifetime
From the minute we arrived in Tanzania Erimpala Safaris was there to make our experience memorable for our entire family. Erick and Patrick were available for booking and creating the adventure of our dreams. The cost and ease of booking and accommodations was top notch and luxurious-especially the Serengeti camp and meals. Our guide Erick is an excellent driver and knowledgeable about each of the national parks and the wildlife. He is professional, reliable, a storyteller and culinary master with delicious meals and finding the most interesting view and dining experience. Erick shared his beautiful country with us and is an incredible ambassador for Erimpala Safaris and Tanzania! We loved our experience and feel Erick became a part of our family and making our dreams come true—truly an experience of a lifetime.

Great safari and guide!!!
Sustainable Safari Tours is a fantastic organization. The owner, Joshua, is easy to reach and speaks excellent English; we had very pleasant communication while planning the safari beforehand. He is very flexible. Our itinerary included 3 days in the Serengeti, 1 day at Lake Manyara, 1 day in Tarangire, and a day in the Ngorongoro Crater.
We paid 4,500 euros, including accommodation and meals. We stayed in luxury tents equipped with showers, toilets, and comfortable beds.
We were lucky enough to go out with Joshua himself. What an amazing ranger and driver he is! He knows exactly how to spot the wildlife. In the Serengeti, we went on safari from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We really wanted to see the migration and the river crossing, and Joshua made sure we got there—it was truly amazing!
He is Maasai himself. It is incredibly special to hear firsthand stories about the traditions, way of life, and customs of his village. It was also wonderful to see how the Maasai boys look up to him and are so impressed by him.
We had a truly AMAZING safari!! Thank you, Joshua! 🙏 ❤️

Incredible Experience!
Coordinating and planning this trip with Julian was awesome. We were able to tailor our trip based on preferences, budget, amount of time, etc. Julian was always quick to respond to our questions and everything went smoothly. We had a last minute flight delay and were able to postpone our transfer to the airport.
Our trip was 10 days (5 safari, 5 in Zanzibar). Our guide/driver Patrick was incredible, we were actually sad to leave him when we had to go to Zanzibar.
He was super friendly, always willing to adjust the days plans/amount of time spent in the parks, and was so fun to have alongside us.
All of the accommodations were great, the food was delicious, and the service overall was 10/10!
Great experience and will definitely be back!

Trip of a Lifetime
We recently travelled to Kenya with Kenan Travel, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the very beginning, the trip was carefully tailored to our needs, with a personalised itinerary that maximised our safari time, perfectly matched our flights, and included a relaxing stay on Diani Beach at the end. Every element felt thoughtfully planned, making the entire journey seamless and stress-free.
The pricing structure was another highlight. It was clear, transparent, and flexible, with multiple options provided so we could tailor the trip to suit our budget. This made the planning process straightforward and gave us confidence that we were getting exactly what we wanted.
A special thank you goes to Jane, who managed the trip overall. She was incredibly attentive and responsive, always available on WhatsApp to resolve even the smallest queries instantly—even over the weekend. Her support throughout made a real difference and ensured everything ran smoothly.
Our safari driver, Bill, was absolutely outstanding and deserves particular recognition. His knowledge, professionalism, and passion for wildlife were evident throughout, and his expert driving and positioning played a huge role in us being able to see all of the Big Five. He was also a very safe and reliable driver during transfers between parks and locations, which gave us great peace of mind.
The highlights of some of the animals we saw thanks to Bill’s navigating were black and white rhinos, cheetahs, the great migration in Maasai Mara, two leopards, lion cubs, and lots of elephants!
This trip was especially meaningful for us, as we got engaged during the holiday—and Jane and Bill went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. Jane organised private meals and special evenings at the resorts, adding a real sense of occasion. On the day itself, Bill played a huge part in making the proposal perfect: he helped find a beautiful, secluded spot, kept everything a surprise, and even set up a table with sparkling wine of his own initiative. It was a moment we will never forget.
We cannot recommend Kenan Travel highly enough. Their attention to detail, personalised service, and the exceptional people they have on the ground made this a truly special experience.
We originally found Kenan Travel and Tours through various internet searches, their Tripadvisor, and on various forums. Committing to private companies can sometimes be daunting, particular with such a big purchase, but Kenan are one which you can trust.
