Unforgettable Trip
We did a five day safari with Mellivora African Travels and all I can say is that the tour was delivered out of our expectations. Everything was prepared for us accommodations, transportation and food. Our guide Jordan was one of the best knowledgeable and caring he made our tour unforgettable as we spent most of the time with him. We were able to see the big five, What else could we need from an African safari. Honestly the hospitality that Mellivora and their staff have is unexceptional and pleasing. Fransisca from the office was there to help us from the arrangements to finalization always fast to respond and there to give us other options whenever needed to ensure we get the best. I will recommend Mellivora African Travels to anyone who wants to make their first time experience in the wildlife of Africa unforgettable because everything was made easy by the team.

Three unforgettable days with a great team
We just completed a three-day safari with Serengeti Green Tanzania and can only recommend them.
Our contact person, Sabina, was friendly and attentive throughout. Communication was clear and reliable from the first enquiry onwards, she was very patient with us and accommodated our wishes without hesitation. She even checked in at the end of each day to ask how we were doing, which felt genuinely caring and highly professional.
Our driver Imani made the three days truly comfortable. He is an excellent driver and always did his best to make sure we saw as many animals as possible and got the best viewing spots. He is young, so we connected with him right away and the atmosphere in the car was relaxed and fun.
The only thing we would have wished for is a bit more information about the animals and the region along the way, a few more explanations would have added even more depth to the experience. Apart from that, there is nothing to criticise.
We would happily book another safari with Imani and Serengeti Green Tanzania.

Superb 12 nights Serengeti Safari organised by Asanja Africa
We were a group of 6 wildlife enthusiasts and our 12 nights Serengeti Safari in June 2026 was organized by Asanja Africa. We spent four nights each at Asanja Nyasirori Camp, Asanja Moru Camp and Entara Olmara Camp for a cross-sectional Serengeti experience from west to east. My impressions and experience in these three Camps are briefly stated below:
ASANJA NYASIRORI CAMP (Western Serengeti) : --
Camp Location:
The Camp, recently commissioned, has an excellent hillside location in the proximity of Grumeti River – overlooking the scenic valley below with occasional sightings of large herds of migrating wildebeest as well as elephants and impalas – with hyenas calling almost throughout the night and occasional roar of lion. As we were checking in at the Camp on 9th June we were thrilled to witness thousands of migrating wildebeest file past in the valley not too far from the Camp.
Accomodation:
The Camp is a modern (concrete) unique rendition of traditional ethnic African “Boma” huts with a rather luxurious lay-out. With only seven “Boma” units, the Camp gave us an exclusive and peaceful experience (without too many guests), which we appreciated very much. All amenities in the rooms were top-class. Each spacious unit consisted of a combined bedroom-toilet room and an adjacent lounging room with comfortable sofas and a private plunge pool. Each unit was cleverly hidden from the adjacent unit by green foliage and enjoyed a superb view of the valley below. What we missed however was a curtain between the bedroom and bath/toilet area for providing better privacy. Also, during mid-day the rooms (probably because of the concrete structure and external colour scheme) became rather warm making it difficult to get an afternoon nap (which we feel is necessary to be fresh for the evening game drive). The performance of the fan above the bed was not adequate enough to make a difference. A portable table/stand fan near the bed would easily solve this issue.
Food:
The food served (both occidental and oriental) were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with the authentic vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian dishes prepared by the Chef as per our suggestions. What we missed here was the preparation of bakery items in the Camp.
Service:
Service was absolutely top-class, courteous, efficient and professional in all aspects – whether in the room, dining, lounge or in any other area of the Camp. All requirements of guests were met promptly.
Game-drives & Wildlife:
We were fortunate to witness the arrival of the wildebeest migrating herds in the Grumeti region. The sight of large migrating herds at Nyasirori swamp was breath-taking. Plenty of other animals, including lions, elephants and antelopes – not too far from the Camp. We however could not witness any crossings of Grumeti River by the migrating herds. We saw very few other safari vehicles in our Game-drives and enjoyed most of the sightings almost exclusively -- which was a huge plus point.
MORU ASANJA CAMP (Central Serengeti) : --
This is a tented Camp situated in a rather remote, quiet and wild area of Central Serengeti – fortunately some distance away from the busy tourist area of Seronera. The location of the Camp is excellent -- in the wilderness surrounded by a ring of hills with a scenic view of the broad valley in front. Elephants crossing in front of the Camp and lion’s roaring at night.
With only eight tents, the Camp gave us an exclusive and peaceful experience (without too many guests), which we appreciated very much. The tents and amenities are however pretty basic, but the location in the peaceful wilderness is its great attraction. During our stay we had several sightings of very large herds of zebras – probably the tail-end of the Great Migration moving up the Western Corridor for the Grumeti River crossing. We also saw lions, cheetahs, leopard, elephants and antelopes. One early morning, we were fortunate to spot one black rhino in the distance. We saw very few other Safari Vehicles/tourists in our Game-drives and enjoyed most of the sightings almost exclusively -- which was a big plus point. However, the problem during the time of our visit in June was the tall grass which in most places obstructed clear sighting of the animals. Moreover, because of the Rhino Project, the road network in the area available for game-drives was rather limited.
ENTARA OLMARA CAMP (Eastern Serengeti) : --
Camp Location:
The Tented Camp is located in the relatively less frequented Eastern Serengeti within the vast unending Namiri Plains – home to several lion prides and many cheetahs. We loved the setting of the Camp in the natural wilderness. Giraffes were frequently moving around the tents in the evening and night. We heard lions roaring at night.
Accomodation:
With only eight tents, the Camp gave us an exclusive and peaceful experience (without too many guests), which we appreciated very much. The tents are very spacious with comfortable 3-piece sofa set and excellent amenities. As the weather was cool and pleasant even at mid-day, we did not at all feel the absence of a fan. On the other hand, it was quite windy throughout the day and night and the netted very large windows all around the tent made it quite pleasant creating a natural sylvan ambience all around. We appreciated the traditional separate arrangement between the bedroom and the bath/toilet area for better privacy.
Food:
The food was quite delicious. Chef Dastaan is a cheerful and jovial person capable of serving all type of cuisine as per our choice. Indian cuisine served was authentic and delicious. To top it, the bakery items made in the Camp (including cakes and cookies) were excellent.
Service:
Absolutely top-class, courteous, efficient and professional in all aspects – whether in the room, dining, lounge or in any other area of the Camp. All requirements of guests were immediately complied with.
Game-drives:
Wildlife sightings here was quite impressive. We had some memorable close encounters with several lion prides and cheetah families. We were fortunate to also witness the chase and hunt of thomson’s gazelles by cheetah families on two occasions. This area is perhaps one of the best places in Serengeti for lion and cheetah encounters. We saw very few other Safari Vehicles/tourists in our Game-drives and enjoyed most of the sightings almost exclusively -- which was a big plus point.
Driver - Guides:
Our Driver-Guides, Toshi (Emanuely Pallagyo) and Hamidu (Hamidu Adinani Mgwano), were simply superb in every way. They were with us all through our 12 nights Safari. Their expertise gave us the best game-drive experience. They were extremely courteous, always cheerful and amiable and full of enthusiasm to show us all that was ever possible in the game-drives while at the same time enriching us with their expert knowledge regarding our wildlife sightings. The Special Photographic Vehicles provided by Asanja Africa were a great help in capturing some impressive scenes during our game-drives – more so because Toshi and Hamidu knew exactly when and where to place the vehicle for the best photographic shots. The credit for our super Safari experience goes to a very large extent to these two Driver-Guides. From my personal experience with 7 Safari outings so far, I will rate them among the best Driver-Guides that I have come across.
In conclusion, we thank Ajay Singh of Asanja Africa for coordinating our Safari from beginning to end in a seamless manner for a hassle-free and truly enjoyable experience.

Amazing day at Pilanesberg
Firstly, a big shout out to our smiling and knowledgeable safari guide, Moloko and her colleague Godfrey who drove us from Joberg. They were excellent - impeccable service and a smooth experience all through.
We had a great day - saw two of the big five but a whole bunch of other animals too. Missed the big cats - but that’s never guaranteed. The trip included a delicious braai lunch with some local beers and they made arrangements for my vegetarian mom.
Pilanesberg is lovely - even without the animals, the drive itself is gorgeous.

very excellent
It was a truly awe-inspiring experience. It was a bit of a shame we didn't see any lions or cheetahs. Our guide, Tman, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and had a great sense of humor, making the whole trip very enjoyable.
