Superb wildlife tour of 7 parks in Kenya
5/5

I have just returned to Nairobi after a superb 10-day photography tour of seven national parks and nature reserves in Kenya (Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru, Hells Gate, Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli). The opportunities for wildlife and scenery photography were surreal. It was quite uncanny how my driver/guide Shem delivered us to so many amazing wildlife encounters with perfect timing, so that I could get some beautiful photos. We saw so many elephants, rhinos, hippos, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, cheetah and leopard, plus many species of antelope, small mammals and birds. The tour was fast paced but well organised and accommodations, food and service was of high quality. Overall it was a fantastic experience and excellent value for the price. I highly recommend the friendly and professional team at Iyana Africa for your wildlife adventure in Kenya

Excellent company for arranging tours in Zanzibar. The transport was reliable, comfortable, and always on time, making every trip stress-free. Communication with the team was quick and easy, and they were always happy to help us arrange additional activities at short notice. Everything was well organized, professional, and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!

Excelent safari and service
5/5

We had great safari experience with patient guide Sam who was able to spot animals. Besides that we asked and got many infos about tanzania, masai culture and other.
I also appreciate food service, we had more that we can eat.
Since we had private safari, only us was in the car we could fully manage stops and add snake park visit on the last day.
Price of the safari is very high overall (especially for family with 4 kids), but Expedicion de Superheroes gave us best offer compared to other agencies.

perfect safari experience
5/5

Our trip to Tanzania was an unforgettable experience from start to end. Tom was super attentive and responsive in organising everything and very receptive to any changes we wanted to make to customise our trip to our desires. he would always reply almost instantly to any questions or queries we had and was checking in also throughout the trip. we felt we for great value for money with all the accommodations we booked (locations were out of this world!!! and service/ food was always perfect) and we also got to see every animal we wanted and more, so our experience felt perfect for what we paid. as a group of 7 in the one safari keep, we went visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro, where we came across the big 5 and more countless times. This was all down to our incredible guide Omar who was a super nice and genuine guy we were sad to leave him on the final day. He was a very safe driver, navigating the mad roads of the National Parks, we were in very good hands and never once doubted him. He was very informative and taught us so much about the animals, the environment, culture and even the language. He tailored the schedule to meet our needs and also made some changes like some early morning game drives so as to see more animals especially because we would be the first in the park some mornings which was great as the day went on more and more safari groups would arrive so it was a beautiful feeling to feel like you were on your own out there in the beautiful landscape. He was always ready early in the morning when we came down, and we always left ontime, and his time keeping was excellent for when we wanted to be back by a certain time in the evening to relax or attend an activity. We couldn’t recommend him more, and we will be letting everyone know back home in Ireland the experience had and encouraging everyone to go with Ndutu and Omar as their guide. thank you for everything guys!

An Unforgettable Adventure at Masai Mara!
5/5

"Incredible lifetime experience from start to finish! Felix organized a flawless Masai Mara, Nakuru lake & Amboseli safari for us. Our guide, John, was exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and made sure we saw the Big Five in our game drives while keeping us safe and comfortable. Beyond their tracking skills, he taught us so much about the Mara's ecosystem and local Maasai culture.
In spite of dusty game drives, The vehicle was clean everyday, comfortable and well-stocked water equipped with refrigerator , the accommodations were incredible, and the entire itinerary felt perfectly paced.
The lodges offered were fantastic, the food was great, and the logistics were stress-free. Highly, highly recommend this team!"

Fantastic experience with Eve on Safari
5/5

We had an amazing 8-day private safari in Tanzania with Eve on Safari. From the very beginning, Evaline made the entire planning process easy and stress-free. She was always quick to respond, listened carefully to our wishes, and created a perfectly organized, tailor-made itinerary.

Everything during the trip was arranged seamlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience. Our guide, Goodluck, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had the best possible game drives. Thanks to his expertise, we even witnessed the Great Migration!

If you're looking for a safari that is professionally organized with a personal touch, we highly recommend Eve on Safari. Thank you, Evaline, for an unforgettable experience!

The trip of a lifetime
5/5

In July, my wife and I went on a 12-day trip to Rwanda and Uganda, which was the best trip of our lives so far—and we’ve been to many places. Getting in touch with Likana Safaris was easy; Michelle and Bonny were flexible in handling our specific requests and continued to assist us with everything even after the booking was made, leading up to the trip. Upon our arrival, we met Henry Ssenteza at the Kigali airport, and we could tell right away that he would be a great guide and friend to us during our time there. And so the adventure began. Rwanda proved to be a great start, as the shorter distances made acclimatization easier, and the golden colobus monkey trek was a good warm-up before the bigger challenges. Uganda, however, proved to be a step up in terms of both the adventures and the activities. The gorilla and chimpanzee treks turned out to be truly once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and the rich and fascinating wildlife safaris revealed the grandeur and power of nature. In addition, our encounters with local communities were extremely interesting, giving us a glimpse into their lives. Likana booked fantastic accommodations for us, where we were able to encounter the animals up close, and Henry responded well to all of our individual requests. Over dinner, we had great conversations about Uganda, nature, and local points of interest. At the end of the trip, we even got to see the rhinos and visit the source of the Nile, so despite the eventful journey, we had no desire to go home—we’d just had the experience of a lifetime. Likana Safari played a huge part in this, and I highly recommend this company for exploring East Africa. We also can’t leave out our guide and friend, Henry Ssenteza, who went above and beyond to make the trip even more successful and handled all our problems immediately. We thank him as well for this trip.

1-Star Honest Second Review – Extremely Dishonest & Disorganized Safari Operator
1/5

This is my second review for this safari company. I previously left a genuine, detailed review of my 7-day trip, yet the business claimed I never traveled with them and pressured the platform to hide my original feedback. This deceptive behavior alone already ruins all trust, and I can only rate the entire service 1 out of 5 stars now—even though the raw wildlife scenery alone might barely deserve a 3-star score on its own. Every unethical, unprofessional misstep from this operator is listed below, supported by full chat logs as evidence.
Core Problem 1: Night-and-day customer communication before vs after full payment
Their response speed dropped drastically once I finished paying the full trip fee. Before transferring money, their staff replied to every message within minutes; after payment, they took zero initiative to brief me on follow-up procedures, airport transfers or paperwork. I had to chase them for several days before they finally sent the airport driver’s contact and payment receipt unprompted. No proactive guidance, zero after-sales care after receiving my money.
Core Problem 2: Deliberately misleading lies about airport SIM cards, costing me heavy roaming fees
Two different staff members contacted me pre-trip, both strictly warned me not to buy a local SIM card at the airport, claiming airport processing would take too long. They promised my safari driver would help me register a SIM card along the route. The airport transfer driver repeated the same lie when picking me up, also urging me to skip airport SIM registration.
After settling the final balance at their office and switching to the main safari vehicle heading to Amboseli, I repeatedly asked the driver when we could get the SIM card—he had absolutely no clue about this promise. He stopped at a local shop nearby, where staff informed me SIM cards registered under foreign passports can only be issued in major cities like Nairobi, not small towns en route. The driver then said we could sort it out after Masai Mara once we passed Nairobi.
This promise was never fulfilled either. After Masai Mara, our group split: two passengers had no further travel plans, so the driver took a massive detour to drop them off first. Our drive from Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru became an exhausting all-day road trip, and he claimed we ran out of time to stop for SIM registration again. Even after switching to a new driver for the latter half of the itinerary, the same empty promise was repeated. I finished the entire 7-day safari without ever getting a local SIM, forced to rely on costly international roaming that cost me around $10 USD per day. The company’s intentional misinformation wasted my money .
Core Problem 3: Discriminatory, unsafe, lazy driver service
Our initial group had four passengers: two Asian women (my travel partner and me), plus two male travelers from English-speaking countries. The driver showed obvious racial bias from the start—he consistently carried luggage only for the two Western men, leaving us to haul all our own bags alone.
After those two men left the group at Lake Nakuru, the driver’s service collapsed completely. He stopped giving any wildlife or landscape commentary for the rest of the ride, and spent nearly all the driving time scrolling his phone while behind the wheel. This distracted driving created serious safety hazards for every passenger in the vehicle. The driver’s service quality did not warrant any tip at all, yet many tourists reluctantly hand over gratuities just because travel guides push mandatory tipping culture online, even when they receive zero attentive service.
Core Problem 4: Unilateral, unapproved last-minute itinerary changes that ruined travel mood
Our group split after Masai Mara, and the two remaining passengers had separate scheduled next stops. Without prior consultation, the driver notified the other girl that her confirmed itinerary would be altered, forcing her to detour and follow my route instead. She spent nearly the entire day on the phone arguing with the office team to fix this unauthorized change, which completely destroyed her enjoyment of game drives. The office finally confirmed her original schedule would stay unchanged and promised to speak to the driver.
Later that same day, the driver tried to pull the exact same trick on me, attempting to rewrite my booked itinerary without asking for consent. I immediately contacted the office to file a formal complaint, insisted they preserve my original travel plan, and requested a driver replacement due to his unprofessional conduct.
Overall Verdict
This safari agency operates with total chaos and zero management oversight. They prioritize collecting payments above all else, with no reliable coordination, truthful pre-trip briefings or quality control over their drivers. The wildlife sightings themselves were mediocre at best—animal numbers were far fewer and less spectacular than advertised, and the whole safari felt little more than visiting an ordinary foreign zoo, with only novelty value from a new environment to offer. Save your money and avoid this dishonest operator entirely; there are countless far more transparent, professional safari companies across Kenya.

Excellent - perfectly organised trip, friendly staff
5/5

Mamnana Adventures are ab excellent company that you can 100% trust if wanting to book a Tanzanian Safari directly from outside the country.

From start to finish Juma, the owner, was superb. He responded quickly and in a friendly way at all times. Firstly quickly suggesting an itinerary for our trip, then organising it perfectly and coming a long way to meet and greet us when we arrived. The tour guides he used - Grayson and Miiraji - were really fun and made the safari very enjoyable and interesting, going out of their way to take us to the best bits.

Really great young company, definitely worth supporting instead of booking with an expensive travel agent in the UK.
