A tour operator that turned a dream holiday into a stressful experience due to poor service, unsafe
Avoid Hekima Safari if you value your safety and holiday experience.
Our experience with Hekima Safari was extremely disappointing. After paying in full, we were pressured during the trip to pay an additional $5,000, with the threat of changes to our itinerary. We eventually paid $1,000 in good faith after a promise from the director, Moppo, that it would be refunded, but we are still waiting.
The safari vehicle was the biggest issue. It was unreliable and, in our experience, unsafe. It broke down repeatedly in remote areas, causing us to lose valuable game-drive time, especially in the Serengeti. Some journeys took up to five hours instead of one due to constant problems.
The vehicle was in poor condition, with no air conditioning, faulty windows, heavy dust and exhaust entering the car, and parts even falling off during the trip. At times, we genuinely feared for our safety.
Other excursions arranged by Hekima Safari were also below expectations, with poor standards compared with what was advertised and what other groups received.
A trip that should have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience became stressful and disappointing. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Hekima Safari.

Well organized and gorgeous
I booked a safari with Kenya Bush Track Safaris, and I would do it again without hesitation. Everything went smoothly, from the planning stage (Maureen is wonderful and always ready to help) to the safari itself, which was an incredible experience.
Besides seeing so many amazing animals, I finally got to see a leopard—a moment I’ll never forget and one that made the trip even more special.
I highly recommend Kenya Bush Track Safaris, and I’ll definitely be contacting them again to organize a safari in northern Kenya.

Incredible Experience
We had an incredible safari experience with Amos as our guide. I have knee problems that make it hard for me to move quickly, and Amos was so patient and accommodating the entire trip — he never rushed me and always made sure I was comfortable getting in and out of the vehicle and moving around at each stop. He drove safely and confidently throughout, which put us completely at ease, and was punctual every single day. Despite my slower pace, he still made sure we saw so many amazing animals up close. Highly recommend Amos to anyone looking for a safari guide who’s professional, and genuinely goes out of his way to accommodate his guests’ needs!

best guide ever
This was my first safari ever and we had a great experience. The Maasai Mara is simply stunning, the accommodation was simply but perfect and our guide was better than any guide I ever had on any other tour (not safaris but other guided tours). He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, funny and with so much experience, and great stories about the animals, that it was one big pleasure to be guided by him.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with this tour operator and can highly recommend them! From the very beginning, the communication was excellent. They were incredibly helpful and flexible, always thinking along with us and doing their best to make everything work, even when it became difficult for another couple in our group to join the safari. Their service and reliability were truly outstanding.
The accommodations were fantastic, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire safari. We were able to see and experience so much wildlife, which made the trip truly unforgettable.
Overall, we felt that the safari offered excellent value for money. Everything was very well organized, and the combination of great communication, wonderful accommodations, an excellent guide and an unforgettable safari experience made this a true dream safari for us. We would absolutely book with this tour operator again!

Masai Mara-Nakuru-Naivasha 6 day Masai Mara-Nakuru-Naivasha safari with Axis Safari was exceptional
Masai Mara is an amazing wildlife viewing experience. We observed so many animals with almost non stop encounters. The guides were so enthusiastic we were in the park from just after sunrise to sunset each day.
We added a second full Masai Mara day which allowed us to fully explore the park. We saw a wildebeest river crossing on both days.
We really enjoyed the Lake Nakuru park, the Lake Naivasha boat ride and Hells gate biking, rock climbing, and canyon hike.
Guides Jack and Raymond were excellent.
They were very enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They were great at navigating the Land Cruises quickly to the optimal animal viewing sites!
The trip in general was well planned and executed as described in our itinerary. This was a group safari and the other participants were very nice and interesting.
This was a budget safari and the accommodation and food were very good.

Great experience, service and availability

He was easily reachable via WhatsApp all the time and assisted us during the organization of the trip giving the right suggestions.
