Without a doubt, we will be booking with Spirit of Kenya again!
After evaluating proposals from around half a dozens of safari operators, we selected Spirit of Kenya for the final leg of our honeymoon. Rather than reiterate the firm’s many strengths, let us outline below the lessons we will apply on our next visit—each drawn from the exemplary service of two individuals: Victor (planner) and Dominic (guide).
1. Begin by consulting Victor: Sketch the preferred destinations and time budget, then let Victor refine the itinerary. Out plan clearly surpassed the alternatives we received, the main reason we have chosen Spirit of Kenya.
2. Limit the itinerary to a manageable scope: On our trip we visited three parks in six days. Following Victor’s counsel, we will resist the temptation to over-schedule; fewer stops yield more wildlife hours and lower transit fatigue.
3. Request Dominic as guide: Dominic’s crazy knowledge of species, uncanny spotting ability (he located a lion pride while driving which we failed to see even through... Read more binoculars), and respect for animal welfare made him an ideal companion. We will not have another Safari in Kenya without him!
4. Trust Dominic’s in-field adjustments: Twice he proposed minor timing changes that gave us an extra one-to-two hours inside the reserves—one of which produced the lion sighting mentioned above. We cannot stress enough my trust in his abilities.
In short, our experience with Spirit of Kenya—and particularly with Victor and Dominic—was outstanding. We look forward to engaging the same team on our next safari.

The tour operator was very helpful in communicating expectations of what we were about to experience on the trip and made all the lodging and other arrangements in a very professional manner. I would definitely recommend Ruru to anyone thinking about making such a trip.

Magnificent experience
We were changing plans all the time but these guys are so flexible, everything was fine for them. We had such a great time, fantastic driver/guide and wonderful places to stay. They went out if their way to make us happy. 10 out of 10, highly recommended!

good service despite some problems
overall a good agency that was able to deal well with some problems such as the cancellation of a flight and the need to reorganize some stages of the tour. they were flexible in the choice and offered us the possibility of upgrading some hotels at the last minute. very good at managing the naturalistic part, less so when it came to making us visit the capital and surrounding areas, they need to structure the part regarding Tana better too, paying attention to the opening and closing times of the attraction (We happened to arrive in front of the monuments and find them closed, or to arrive on site and not have a guide). we had chosen to do a long drive which turned out to be even longer than expected as the organizer was not well informed about the state of the roads after the monsoons. overall I would recommend this agency, Harilala was very helpful and always reachable on whatsapp, he answered all our questions and also showed us his house before going to the airport.

Perfectly Organised Safari
Always want to go on Safari and spent a lot of time looking for where to go and how long for. Decided on Amboseli and then became who could we go with. Came across Enkarewa through this website and they have been amazing. There is always some trepidation organising a trip like this purely online but rest assured there is not need for any concern. Any questions initially responded to within a day by email and then we communicated in almost realtime on WhatsApp. Nelly was incredibly receptive to any questions or amendments we had and we ended up with exactly the safari we wished for. Our driver for the trip fell ill the day before we were meant to travel but the replacement, Edward, was amazing. Had his eyes on the road and the bush to see the animals and birds, ear to the radio and mobile phone to communicate with anyone else to keep us aware of where the game was and despite roads being blocked still endeavoured to find a route around and obstacles which allowed us to get to the viewpoint for the whole park and lake. Totally recommend them for your safari and we already planning our next adventure with them!!

Perfect! Victor was tge best, before we came he was availble and answer for any question we had
The driver who was with us was great! He looks for the animals and saw them from far away, he knew where we need to go and to stop for good view and picture point.

Stand-out, bespoke and amazing safari!
Ramble Safaris - locally owned and operated from Nairobi- is an amazing, not-to-miss operator. Paul, the owner and his small team are attentive, caring and communicative. They went above and beyond our expectations for an amazing and tailored safari for our family (including a 15 yo). Paul worked with me to select a bespoke 6 day and 5 night safari that met our needs and at a competitive price-point. He worked with me to upgrade our accommodations and gave us great, luxurious options without breaking the bank. He also worked to ensure our dietary restrictions were accommodated and communicated to all the camps. When small bumps arose, he and his team quickly responded and sorted them out, ensuring that our safari was not derailed. This included a minor medical issue for my wife before we arrived and which Paul quickly helped with as soon as we got into Nairobi. While Ramble Safari is a small operator in a sea of competitors, my recommendation is go local and choose them for a hands-on, tailored and amazing experience.
