The camping safari is pure adventure.
However, there were a few things that didn't go perfectly.
We were reliably picked up from the airport by taxi. The taxi driver told us the safari started at 7:00 a.m. At the hotel, we were told the safari started at 8:00 a.m. The actual start time was 8:30 a.m., but we were misinformed. The safari itinerary was also changed (Lake Manyara on Friday instead of Tuesday), which isn't a problem in principle. However, this needs to be communicated. According to the description, the game drives last about 6-7 hours. In reality, however, they lasted a maximum of 4-5 hours, as we didn't start at the agreed time on a single day.
Some of the campsites were very run down, often with only cold water, and only one of the three showers working.

Destiny Explorers Issa is a Trickster.
We booked a 4- Night Serengeti Safari which included Mid luxury Lodge booking. He confirmed 4- nights in 4 different lodges. He showed us good Lodges when we booked but then he changed the lodges to low catgory & CHEAP lodges rather small with minimal facilities. We really suffered with him. We checked with the 2 of the Lodges (Ikumbi & a Farmhouse) & these were booked only about 3/4 days before our arrival while he collected the Advance payment almost 30- days before our arrival. And both these lodges were small & even had more 50% vacant rooms. Initially he showed Kankari Lodge & Eileen Tree House.
Even the Guide was too slow & I dont know if he had knowledge about Serengeti. He asked to guide him where we wanted to go.
My advice NEVER book a full Safari with Destiny Explorers.

Unforgettable Family Safari with Knowledgeable Guides, Breathtaking Wildlife, and Stunning Views
We had an unforgettable two-day safari experience in Tsavo East and West with Steve and Richard Safaris, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.
From the beginning, Steve was extremely professional, punctual, and trustworthy. He shared a wealth of knowledge about the animals and the landscape, telling us many fascinating facts and stories during the game drives. He was always patient and happy to answer all of our questions, no matter how many we asked — which made the experience even more enriching.
Our driver, Simon, was absolutely wonderful. He was incredibly patient, calm, and skilled behind the wheel, even during long hours of driving across diverse terrains. His gentle demeanour and friendly attitude made the journey even more enjoyable, especially for our 5-year-old son.
A real highlight was our night at Ngulia Lodge, where we could watch elephants and buffalo coming to the waterhole straight from our bed. In the early morning, we were greeted by baboons and many other wild animals just outside — a magical and unforgettable moment. With a bit of a luck you can see leopard coming in the evening or spotting a rhino through the scope thanks to the beautiful view over the Rhino Sanctuary - definitely recommend!
We spent two amazing days in their company, exploring the beauty of Kenya’s wildlife and nature. The entire experience was smooth, educational, and full of wonder — a true family adventure to remember.

We had amazing tour guide
First of all, thank you for providing excellent service during our trip. We could honestly say, it was one of the best trips we ever took.
We believe we got very lucky with our tour guide named Isaac Long. His personality was exactly what we needed. He was very calm, respectful, quiet (in good way), patient, always on time and accommodating to our needs.
Food was excellent!!!
Service in the restaurants and hotels too!
The only thing that we didn’t care for was Lake Natron. There was nothing to see and extremely hot. Hotel didn’t have A/C or fans, which was disappointing.
I would definitely recommend using this agency and I would request Issac to be your tour guide.

It was a pleasure and fun to spend time with our guide Jackson. As stated above he was very considerate, professional, knowledgeable and looked after us extremely well.
