The safari in Tanzania is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Suricata Safaris makes it possible to live it to the fullest thanks to the experience of its guides and the reliability of its vehicles.
Our guide was Freddy, a fantastic person—very intelligent, with an in-depth knowledge of the local flora and fauna, and also very friendly. Sharing part of his knowledge with us made these days even more interesting and full of fascinating insights.
Experiencing this adventure with a reliable agency is essential to avoid unpleasant surprises, and Suricata is one of the best.
No negative points at all. I highly recommend staying at their lodge at Lake Manyara—it’s absolutely worth it.

The Owner of Sun Safaris has left us devastated.
In October 2025, our group of four travelled to Southern Africa on a tour organised by the Owner of Sun Safaris. The trip was required to be fully paid in advance before leaving Australia.
On arrival at our first safari camp, The Old Drift Lodge, we were informed that our accommodation had not been paid for by Sun Safaris. Despite apologies and assurances from the Owner of Sun Safaris, we were forced to pay ourselves using credit cards for accommodation we had already paid for.
Unfortunately, this situation was repeated at the remaining three safari camps, with continued promises from Sun Safaris that were not fulfilled. This caused significant stress throughout what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime holiday.
After returning to Australia, we continued to seek reimbursement and, despite many promises, we remain out of pocket by approximately USD $18,500. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Sun Safaris and advise future travellers to proceed with extreme caution.

I have known Eraste for over 6 years, since around 2019, through the Instagram page of his tour company. In 2025, I used his services to do a solo gorilla trekking in Rwanda and I had an amazing time. He has one of the cheapest rates in Rwanda. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic Experience, with the best guide!
Ndutu was amazing! First time on Safari, did a 5 day, 4 night luxury Safari. They took care of everything, from logistics, to food to even retrieving and delivering our lost luggage! What made the trip spectacular was our driver and guide: Gilbert! He knew everything, and we got to see all Big Five, and then some! Even the ever reclusive Leopard and Rhinos.
The one caution I would give is check out the lodging options they have got you at. There was a last minute change on one of the accommodations on the first night, where we were put up at Furaha ‘luxury’ camp. It was not, at all! The lodge was half constructed and basically the shell of a building, the rooms/cabins worse: filled with bugs, and certainly not well cleaned. EVERY other accommodation was superb though! The other three nights were are amazing lodges, with fantastic food, great service, and pristine cabins.

Amazing tour
The falls on both sides are really breathtaking. Because it was in two countries, I had 2 guides and they were both great. Thuba showed me the Zimbabwe side and was super friendly and thorough, and Mike on the Zambia side as well! The border crossing was also very smooth thanks to them.

Azie shared a wealth of information during our safari about the animals and the environment.
Azie was very accommodating during our 8 day safari. Before we left Arusha he took me to two grocery stores so I could try to buy goat milk for my coffee. No luck didn't stop him.! He even offered to stop along the road to milk a camel! He spoke Swahili and enroute a few days later there were some young Massai crossing the road with a large herd of goats. He asked if we could buy some goat milk. The young boys were all in! We had a successful and exciting experience assisting in the goat milk caper! Everyday was full of listening to him share his expertise about animals and the environment . He has a great sense of humor. His driving skills kept us moving as we passed many vehicles which had broken down on the rough roads. His shared passion for Africa left us wanting to return. We were able to express our gratitude by sharing an early morning hot-air balloon ride! He is a father of two and the stories he shared of family would make anyone comfortable bringing their children with. Our safari experience still echoes in my memory and vibrates in my being. Azie gives The "Dark Continent' a grand Ray of Light!

Reliable and always available to answer questiins
Sun Summit & Safaris provided an excellent experience from start to finish. The team was responsive, available at all times, and extremely flexible. Whenever our plans needed adjustment, they handled the changes smoothly and professionally. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and customer-focused safari operator.

I did not get to go on the trip. I cancelled well in advance and was told I would be refunded 100% of deposits made. It has been close to a year of promises from Marvel to refund me but no payment has been sent back to me. First, it was an excuse of difficulties sending money back to US from Zimbabwe, etc. There is always a way to send money almost anywhere in this world. I have traveled all-over the world and getting money from one place to another can almost always be worked out. You had no problem receiving my money. I am out of over $2000 USD and now have to go through legal hoops in a different country to attempt to be refunded. My whole reason for postponing and canceling my trip was due to medical reasons for my mother who was planning to go on this trip and physically could not. It is really shameful of your business to be so deceptive amd dishonest.
