Adventure in Mara
We booked a 3 nights and 4 days package Axis Safaris after watching many excellent reviews on YouTube. From the initial enquiries: Number of people, Safari requirements, Different Lodge options and answering any other questions, Rita from Axis Safaris was absolutely brilliant with very good customer service.
A day before the Safari, we received a message from Axis confirming pick up by the driver and the driver also reached out directly. We arrived at thier offices to drop off our excess luggage to be kept securely and were introduced to our Safari Tour Guide Charles Kyalo who from the start to the end was professional, courteous, patient and explained everything very clearly to everyone.
We saw the Big 5 Inc Leopard and also many Lions with cubs, Elephants, Giraffes at Mara and White Rhinos, Lions, lots of Flamingos at Lake Nakuru. We as a family of 2 adults and 2 children loved every single moment and will cherish this Safari experience. I will highly recommend Axis Safaris and Charles Kyalo as a guide. Safari Experience with Laso
We had an absolutely wonderful safari experience, and a huge part of what made the trip so memorable was our guide, Laso. He was incredibly skilled, experienced, attentive, and genuinely determined to make sure we had the best possible experience.
Laso had an amazing ability to position the vehicle so that we could get the best views and photos of the animals. Whenever he heard over the radio that something had been spotted, he reacted immediately and did everything possible to get us there in time. He expertly navigated rough terrain, crossed rivers, drove through bushes, and maneuvered the vehicle into the perfect position for us to see the wildlife. Thanks to his persistence, experience, and determination, we saw an incredible number of animals, including all of the Big Five.
At the same time, I always felt completely safe with him. He is an excellent and very alert driver who clearly has extensive experience. He was also passionate about sharing his knowledge, explaining the animals, their behavior, and everything we were seeing along the way. He was wonderful with our children and made the experience interesting and enjoyable for the whole family.
Beyond the game drives, Laso was extremely accommodating and flexible. He happily adjusted stops for particular breakfast and lunch places we wanted to visit, made sure we always had enough water, and took great care of us throughout the trip. He was always punctual - usually already waiting for us before we were ready - and consistently explained what we would be doing, where we were going, and what to expect next. Everything was organized and clear, the itinerary was followed smoothly, yet he was always willing to be flexible when we wanted something different.
We feel extremely lucky that Laso was our guide. His professionalism, enthusiasm, patience, driving skills, knowledge, and determination to find wildlife truly made our safari exceptional. Not every guide will go to the same lengths to create this kind of experience, and Laso really stands out.
I would highly recommend specifically asking for Laso when booking with Axis Safari.

I went for my 30th birthday with my partner. The hotel we stayed at organised as part of the safari was amazing, big highlight of the trip. The cars that we used for the safari was also great, comfortable and water etc was provided. I had a good time, only feedback would be the game drives were very short and not as “exciting” as I had anticipated. This is with the caveat that of course, we can’t guarantee what we will see, but unfortunately didn’t see any of the big cats and all three days were quite slow sightings. Overall their communication was great and the lunches provided were better than expected.

A fantastic week discovering Kenya
We spent seven days on safari with Jimela Africa Safaris and had a truly wonderful experience. It was a very complete trip, with beautiful landscapes, incredible wildlife and many moments that we will remember for a long time.
Our guide, Wilson, was excellent from beginning to end. He was professional, kind and very knowledgeable, and always made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying every part of the safari. His explanations about the animals and the different places we visited added so much to the experience.
The Masai Mara was spectacular. We were able to see an amazing variety of animals, and having Wilson as our guide made it even more interesting, especially because he comes from the area and knows it extremely well. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the trip.
We also visited Lake Nakuru, where unfortunately the weather was not on our side, but even with the rain we were lucky enough to see four of the Big Five. Amboseli was another unforgettable experience. Seeing so many elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro clearly visible in the background was absolutely beautiful and one of my favourite memories from the safari.
The only part we would reconsider was spending a full day at Lake Naivasha. Most of the activities there required an additional payment and, in our case, the ones we did were not particularly successful, so we felt that this part of the itinerary could perhaps have been organised differently.
Apart from that, we were extremely happy with the trip. We felt it was good value for money and came away with wonderful memories of Kenya. I would happily recommend Jimela Africa Safaris and, in particular, Wilson, who did everything possible to make our week such a special experience.

Ecky made this the safari of a lifetime
An unforgettable safari, thanks to Ecky and the whole Suricate Safaris team
We did a 5-day safari with Suricate Safaris, booked directly with the company, and it was one of the most incredible experiences my friend Andrea and I have ever had. From day one, we felt we were in the hands of true professionals, passionate about what they do.
The true star of our experience was Ecky, our guide. It’s hard to put into words how extraordinary he is: he has an encyclopedic knowledge of Tanzania’s wildlife, flora and ecosystems, and a unique gift for sharing it with warmth and charisma. Ecky is Maasai, which made his storytelling even more special: he told us so much about local culture and society, traditions and way of life, and that enriched the trip in a way we didn’t expect. Beyond his professionalism, he’s a sensitive, attentive person who genuinely cared that we made the most of every moment.
The accommodations were another huge highlight of the trip. Boma de Suricatas is absolute top-tier luxury: every detail thought out to make the stay as elegant as it was comfortable. And the bush camp in the Serengeti was something completely new for us: sleeping in the heart of the savannah, surrounded by the sounds of nature, is an experience we’ll never forget.
The 5 days were a string of magical moments: sightings straight out of a documentary, sunrises and sunsets impossible to describe, and that and that sense of vastness that only Africa can give you. We were so captivated by everything that, saying goodbye to Ecky on the last day, we ended up in tears. We really hope to go back someday.
Andrea and I agreed that the quality of your guide makes all the difference on a safari. Ask for Ecky — we promise you’ll never regret it.

An unforgettable 7-day safari with an amazing guide
We had an amazing 7-day safari experience with Jimela Africa Safaris, and we would definitely do it again. A huge part of what made the trip so special was our guide, Wilson. He was fantastic throughout the whole week – extremely knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to explain everything and make sure we were enjoying the experience.
The Masai Mara was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. We saw an incredible amount of wildlife and, as Wilson is originally from the area, his knowledge of the park, the animals and the local environment made the experience even more special. He knew where to go, what to look for and shared so many details with us along the way.
We also really enjoyed Lake Nakuru. Unfortunately, we had quite a lot of rain that day, but even with the weather we managed to see four of the Big Five, which was incredible.
Amboseli was another absolute highlight. We were very lucky to have a clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro, surrounded by elephants and beautiful landscapes. It was one of those moments that you simply don’t forget.
The only part of the itinerary we personally would have changed was Lake Naivasha. We felt that one full day there was a bit too much for us, especially as several of the activities were not included in the safari price and had to be paid separately. The activities we chose also didn’t work out particularly well, so compared with the rest of the trip, this day felt less worthwhile.
That said, this was a small part of an otherwise fantastic experience. Overall, we felt the safari was absolutely worth the price, we came back with incredible memories, and we would happily do it all over again. A special thank you to Wilson for taking such good care of us and making these seven days so memorable!

Andrew Kamau was a very thoughtful and funny guide for our group, he did his best.
I had a very good time with the group during these 2 days Safari. The car and the driver (Andrew Kamau) were both very good and I saw basically everything I expected from a Safari. Andrew is a very experienced, funny and caring person, I would definitely suggest to take a safari with him.

Great tour
We very much enjoyed our trip with DK Tours. There was a good variety of activities and lots of opportunities to see wildlife which was our primary goal. All of the accommodation was good, Robins Camp was a particular high-light. The trip was well organised and we were well looked after by all the staff at DK Tours.
